April 27Apr 27 Nikki Gentile, born Nicolette Frances Pezzello (March 23, 1954, in Yonkers), is an American actress and model.American by birth, but third-generation Italian, she is registered under the name Nicolette Frances. Born in Yonkers, a city in Westchester County, New York, she moved with her family to the Bronx at an early age. From an early age, she showed a remarkable aptitude for learning: she enrolled in college and graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York before the age of eighteen.Her interest in the world of fashion materialized in the creation of jackets and capes; her collection caught the attention of Helen Gurley Brown, who agreed to immortalize them in the pages of Cosmopolitan magazine, of which she is the editor. Nikki modeled for the photoshoot. Those photos did not go unnoticed. Shortly thereafter, the Wilhelmina agency in New York signed her to its modeling team.Nikki was sent to Europe, along with other models, to gain new professional experience and walk the runways of Milan, London, and Paris. Arriving in Italy in 1972 at the age of eighteen, she worked as a model before entering the world of movies, having also appeared in several television commercials.Before returning to the United States and ending her career, she also made an appearance on the small screen in 1979, appearing in an episode of the series The Return of Simon Templar.She later opened a modeling agency.
