Born in 1957 in Qazvin, she later moved to the United States after the Iranian Revolution. Her famous series Women of Allah combines portraits of veiled women with Persian calligraphy and weapons to examine faith, femininity, and resistance.Her face is so hauntingly beautiful and her aura is somehow soothing. She is a brilliant icon.
