Vanity (1959-2016), born Denise Katrina Matthews in Niagara Falls, was a Canadian singer and actress. She rose to fame in the early 1980s as a protégé of Prince and lead singer of Vanity 6.

She later acted in films like The Last Dragon before leaving entertainment to become a Christian evangelist.

it’s always fascinating to see her transition from that era to her later life as an evangelist. she really went through a lot and came out the other side with such a different perspective. the last dragon is a total cult classic too, her chemistry with taimak was great. truly a one-of-a-kind artist who left us too soon.

For real she was an incredible person in addition to being very beautiful
