yildiz-tilbe_1479422.jpg.69bd9f80dd9e23ce7207fa91197c3f21.webp

Bütün bunlar bana Tarot'taki Deli (The Fool) kartını hatırlatıyor.

Kaosu seviyorum. Eğlenceli bir şey. Sen de kucakla onu!

For anyone who would like to understand the text, and admire how articulated is my mind :

No, actually, I should be turning that question back on you and asking: What are you doing here? Besides, your posting history is completely empty. You're not even a genuine member of this site with a sincere interest in it. Or perhaps you're using a fake account. It's pretty pathetic to infiltrate a community just to make superficial, mocking judgments about people.

So, allow me to perform an act of generosity and share my perspective as a great sage, with all the benevolence of a mother.

A beauty icon is more than just a static image designed to cater to the male gaze and its fixation on young, fertile women. Bellazon is a website dedicated to fashion and fashion icons, and it brings together all sorts of different profiles.

There are plenty of celebrities here who could be classified as "sexy-ugly" icons. But there are also beauty icons who are difficult to categorize as "sexy," yet whose faces we find artistic and intriguing.

I also think that, depending on the way we look at someone, we can find something attractive even where others see nothing appealing. There are features that don't necessarily conform to conventional standards of beauty or signal biological fertility, yet can still be captivating. That's why artists like Nadia Lee Cohen explore this territory through an aesthetic that blends grime with sensuality.

Besides, there is no such thing as an immutable beauty standard.

And finally... there's Plato's conception of beauty, the beauty found in contemplation. That kind of beauty is much more personal.

Allow me to elaborate...

So, you're asking me why I posted Yıldız Tilbe here?

First of all, because I think she's a beautiful woman. Regardless of what people might think, a beautiful woman is simply a woman whose features we find beautiful or attractive.

In her youth, Yıldız Tilbe had a conventional, symmetrical face, with both delicate and full features, despite all the mockery she received. Her appearance fits conventional beauty standards in several countries. I think she could have been very popular for her looks in Latin America.

1br9qfwldk6cfeg1378.jpg.4be7d4e455b71b391d04e9033c87da2a.avif

I believe there are two biases behind the mixed opinions many Turkish people have about her appearance and aura.

The first is the normalization of mockery directed at people of Iranian-related backgrounds, such as Kurds and Zazas. This doesn't mean all Turkish people think this way, nor does it mean Kurds and Zazas are always victims of such attitudes. There are also men like Engin Akyürek and Mert Ramazan Demir who enjoy considerable popularity.

But strong eyebrows and a Roman nose can become convenient excuses to insult someone, even when their facial features are perfectly well-proportioned.

It's not necessarily racism in the strictest sense... It's an unprovoked attack rooted in a bias against difference. In other words, people look for something different on their opponents faces, to criticize it because there are political stakes behind it.

The second bias is that Yıldız is simply too erratic, which makes her an exasperating personality, somewhat like Kanye West or Azealia Banks. Not everyone appreciates public feuds and media controversies. That's understandable.

Beyond all that, I find her beauty unique and poetic, something deeply connected to the very essence of her appearance.

Appreciating this kind of beauty might be a more feminine pursuit than a masculine one... or perhaps it simply requires a well-developed artistic sensibility.

Women have a wonderful ability to project their feelings onto the world. The average man, on the other hand, often prefers what is immediately noticeable, tangible, and consumable.

Many of the men on Bellazon are rather crude. They post pictures of naked women or women engaged in intimate acts... I'm not saying such content should be removed; rather, it offers a glimpse into their perception of beauty.

Their understanding of attraction is, in many cases, projected onto the act of reproduction. That's why an artificial, lifeless image of a woman with enormous breasts and a heavily photoshopped face can appeal to them more than a natural woman.

Women can certainly appreciate a beautiful still image, too, but they often prefer movement, narrative, and the story behind a person's beauty.

That's why women are so often drawn to Pinterest, storytelling, and all the layers of meaning that images can convey. There's something incredibly sophisticated about that. Their strength lies in their ability to project their imagination and empathy onto the things they encounter in the world.

It's also why some women don't understand the fascination with Sydney Sweeney.

Sydney combines a familiar, rather ordinary, almost piggish-looking face with a very accessible kind of beauty and pronounced curves. And that's not an insult; she's beautiful, but ordinary in my eyes.

Women, by contrast, may prefer someone like Alexa Demie, whose beauty feels more dangerous, mysterious, and rare. That said, she doesn't possess the same degree of the physical attributes commonly associated with fertility and sexual attractiveness as Sydney does.

So, why am I, as a woman, so fascinated by Yıldız Tilbe as a beauty icon?

1. Her facial features in her youth

In her younger years, she had a fairly conventional, pretty, and symmetrical face.

yildiz-tilbe_1479422.jpg.69bd9f80dd9e23ce7207fa91197c3f21.webp

2. The principle of homogamy

Yıldız is a woman from eastern Turkey. I feel a sense of familiarity when I encounter faces that combine Caucasian, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean features associated with mountainous regions.

This is related to the principle of homogamy: the tendency to gravitate toward people who resemble us or share familiar characteristics. It can influence the entire population, whether in the choice of a romantic partner or in the formation of other social bonds.

She has a pronounced, serious brow ridge, reminiscent of the rugged features associated with mountain people. Her almond-shaped eyes soften her expression, while her bone structure is dramatic and well-defined.

The brain is drawn to what feels familiar.

3. Her distinctive personality and unique movements

Yıldız is an unusual woman with a distinctive personality and a unique way of moving. It's her entire persona that fascinates me.

I'm sensitive to images that move and express something, an idea. It's almost like Plato's conception of beauty: it awakens a sense of wonder within me.

It's a world away from the pin-up poster hanging in your bedroom.

4. Her trashy yet glamorous style

Her fashion sense can be downright tacky at times, and she has a real diva attitude. Her style combines glamour with a certain trashiness.

I'm not talking about the kind of eccentric yet refined aesthetic associated with someone like Lady Gaga. Yıldız can be genuinely trashy.

This aspect of her style has become increasingly pronounced as she's grown older.

Even her energetic but somewhat graceless dancing and her makeup choices belong to the same aesthetic.

When she was young, she dressed much more modestly. But plenty of music divas eventually embrace a trashier image as they get older.

5. Her mannerisms and distinctive expressions

Her mannerisms are particularly intriguing. Certain peculiarities, such as the movement of her lower lip, give her an air of snobbery or exaggerated sincerity.

Morphopsychology might assign an interesting meaning to such features, although that doesn't mean facial characteristics can reliably reveal someone's personality.

Still, it's something that sets her apart from the crowd.

9NivEU.gif

6. Her writing, romanticism, and mysticism

Despite everything I've said about her appearance and style, there's something smooth and refined about the way she writes.

She's a free spirit, even if she doesn't reveal much about her romantic relationships. She's romantic and mystical, yet universal in a way.

7. Her unpredictability and relationship with chaos

However, she's also used her freedom to make statements that can be downright trashy and stupid.

But to me, this also suggests that she isn't particularly attached to any fixed position or concrete identity. She says whatever comes to mind in the moment, then moves on as if nothing happened.

I find these unpredictable personalities fascinating. There's something captivating about people whose minds and behavior can be so difficult to anticipate.

8. Her cultural identity and contradictions

Her cultural origins and political affiliations don't seem to be her primary concerns. Nevertheless, her cultural background is an integral part of her style, and she doesn't shy away from its complexity.

She has even released an album rooted in Turkish folk music.

What's amusing is that Yıldız sometimes strongly asserts her Turkish identity and dresses in the Turkish flag, only to praise a Kurdish communist revolutionary on another occasion.

Then, on yet another day, she might claim to belong to no particular ethnicity or culture.

This gives her the energy of The Fool in the Tarot: a triumphant, entertaining wanderer who belongs nowhere in particular and ultimately refuses to take sides.

She's free to move between identities, embrace contradictions, and refuse to be confined to a single definition of herself.

I love chaos. It's fun. Embrace it too.

She dances like a sardine and takes off her wig so effortlessly! I love people who have the guts and confidence to do whatever they want without caring too much about what others think.
