1 1/2 liters Red Wine Cabernet Sauvignon

1 cup Sugar

4 ounces Brandy

1 whole Lemon sliced

1 whole Orange sliced

1 whole Apple cut into thin sections

1 liter Soda Water

Combine fruit and wine in a large container. Stir. Refrigerate and let sit for about a day. Remove from refrigerator, stir and add sugar and/or brandy to taste. Then, slowly add soda water until it seems to have a thinner, wine-like consistency. If desired, you may instead add Lemon-Lime soda. Serve in red wine glasses.

This sweet, pink, non-alcoholic cocktail was invented in the late 1930's by the bartender at Chasen's Restaurant in Hollywood, for the curly-topped star

Chasen's Restaurant was the favourite for many Stars during seven decades of Hollywood history. This legendary restaurant began on 13th Dec 1936 as a Rib & Chilli Bar, but was transformed during the Golden Years when Hollywood stars turned Chasen's into a social scene, and later in the Reagan era when it became a common meeting place for the President and his supporters
