Karen Hauer was born in Venezuela and brought up in New York from the age of 8. She is best known in the UK as the longest standing pro dancer on BBC flagship show Strictly Come Dancing.

Karen has been part of the BBC Strictly family since 2012 and has been partnered with household names including Westlife’s Nicky Byrne, The ‘Hairy Biker’ Dave Myers, Mark Wright, Jeremy Vine, Will Young and chef Simon Rimmer. In 2019 she reached the semi-final with comedian Chris Ramsey, and in 2020 went a step further taking TV personality Jamie Laing all the way to the finals. This year marks 12 years on the show as she took to the screen with celebrity partner Eddie Kadi.
