Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.
Modeling for me is a conscious decision, as it’s been a journey in itself! I was 14 at a local vintage market in Manly, Aus, when I was approached and scouted. I just remember throwing the card away for whatever reason. I did, however, work some self-sourced modeling jobs throughout the years; I was even signed at 16 for three years until I decided on taking a massive hiatus away from it all, traveling and living out of my van with my partner for about one year. This was an important time for me as I spent this time on the road healing and connecting with my real self and my real dreams whilst feeling like No-Face from Spirited Away (Hayao Miyazaki’s masterpiece). When I felt I was ready and landed in a place where I had my intentions clear and ducks lined up, I went straight into my now mother agency in late 2022, and we were on.

Most memorable modeling experience so far?
Definitely, last 2023’s September show season has to be the most memorable experience so far. It was my first time going overseas by myself and in pursuit of this line of work, both very new and big things for me and where I come from. It was special because I witnessed myself step into my power as a person in the world for the first time. Big transitions and sheddings and watching facets of myself and years of inner work come out and become alive. The energy of the whole thing was out of this world, to say the least! Amongst the high energy of it all, the wild bike rides between shows and meetings, the people and situations that land in front of you, even the time off in-between work, where it’s just you as a person in a new city and new way of life and how you hold yourself in this, was the most empowering time I’ve experienced. I made some pretty cool memories and made friends with beautiful people. The first time will always be special in ways; certain magic, synchronicities, and inspirations present in the air, I felt in the pocket of the universe. I am so grateful for the whole experience; I learned a lot about the industry and have so much respect for models before me that keep showing up!

One song you have on repeat, and why?
Wow. Very singular question. Maybe it’s time I give a short answer. The Chain by Fleetwood Mac for life. If I need a pickup, this is it. Or anything country, I am a sucker for country music.

What other passions do you have aside from modeling?
I love the time I spend when I am away and on the road traveling to new lands. I like to document my travels and surrounding life with film and Super 8. I grew up in a creative and musical household, so it’s safe to say I love to express through art and music, and enjoy collecting vintage pieces, with a deep appreciation for old and beautiful things. I am passionate about energy, philosophy, and natural healing and love learning about this. I would one day love to live off the grid, embodying all of this; this is my real dream. I love journalling and being able to connect to the life around me in its given moments and seasons. So I’d say I am very much passionate about this very thing! Just showing up and growing and evolving as a person and embracing life with open arms as it comes.

What is something you’ve always wanted to do/try?
I really love the idea of becoming and embodying something, whether that be a character or a feeling, in full embrace. I would love to delve into acting because I find it so fascinating, psychology, and observation. This, or travel to a hidden village in a foreign country and spend time immersed in another culture and lifestyle.

What’s one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?
I don’t drink or do drugs. When I was 17, I made this decision as I was always sensitive and felt I was doing myself a dishonor. My best friend at the time was a 50-year-old Ukranian magician, and she was teaching me a lot about Eastern medicine and metaphysics. She is the most intelligent and powerful individual I have come across; she definitely influenced me here. Four years later, and I have been completely sober. Now, it’s like a wild western standoff within myself; it’s all or nothing for now, and plus, I have way too much fun showing up for life and messing with people on the dance floor.

What change would you like to see in the world?
I guess I would love to see the world slow down a little. Have a day or week when the internet stopped completely. Watch people form genuine connections within themselves and connect with others and to life in conscious presence and through honest interactions. I would also love to see more recognition and awareness of women’s health, traditional ancient healing, birth, and the menstrual cycle. I think harmony and balance in the world could really change if these were treated as first knowledge and as sacred as it is.
