The government realized this was bad and passed laws and broke up these companies.
I guess Standard Oil was one of the early big cases
. Ironically, the companies that rose from its ashes became part of another cartel (the seven sisters) afterwards. I understand that companies need to get bigger in order to get economies of scale, but, at some point, if they become too big, like ogres, they end up bullying entire sectors.

I guess that the political party funding in the US doesn't make it easy... politicians owe debts (real or implicit ones) after the elections, don't they?
I guess that the struggles between the political and financial power is an old story. The most famous case we have here is between Louis XIV and his Superintendent of Finances. At that time, the politicial power (the monarchy) was much stronger, because it had traditions (and the army) to back it up.

Mainly, it's the large companies who are in charge.
Yes
The only question is: what the frak is the US waiting for to blow up its oligopolies? These mammoth companies are a plague in many sectors: EA in gaming, Mickey Mouse (aka the butcher of Star Wars) in Hollywoke, Big Tech in their sector (which is censorship, I guess
)...
Let's not forget the companies of the DIABETES SECTOR... The public expenditures caused by these guys are massive and they fund fake studies to defend their products (just like the cigarette industry did 50 years ago
).

One big f*** insurance company here tried to rip off some small business (a restaurant) by refusing to indemnify them for their operating losses, even if it was explicitely written in the contrat. These douches tried to argue that the quarantine was not an "administrative decision"... What a bunch of crooks. They are really taking people for fools.
Fortunately, the arbitrage given by the judge found them guilty and asked them to indemnify the restaurant.

Huge win for fans everywhere............ needs to snowball in the entertainment and video game industries and especially with politics.
I hope so... but my hopes aren't very high. Hollywood is full of smug people who want nothing more than to antagonize the plebs (= us, the consumers). Of couse, despising the consumer is a self destructive behaviour, but their industry is a freaking oligopoly, so they're really short-sighted.
SpoilerI guess we shall see.

Then how come you always favor french models
Except for Constance today, we never have French models in competitions
How can I favor them?

Just look at that smile. She also does a lot of charity work, like helping kids in Africa.
A smile can be deceitful, particularly when it's frozen on a picture. Also, I hate to tell you this, but the charity doesn't mean anything.
Look at how Naughty Dog treats their employees
Anyway, I don't want to spoil your fun, so here's a compensation: a video of a real cute girl, with a genuinely nice smile
She also has two other arguments... the ones that go in pairs
(BTW she's among my favorite of favorites)
