    In a way that's true, they and the MAGA right were able to halt & roll-back the far-left drift of US federal politics since the catastrophic collapse of the American dream during the Obama years & the great recession.

     

    While the people have unchained themselves enough from brainwashing to drift away from the left they are now stuck with a bunch of megalomaniacal freaks that are constantly promoting conspiracy theories.  They are free but it's far from certain that the freedom will be used wisely.

     

    It's also like the ending of Game of Thrones:  Nobody really wins, it's all nihilistic.

    Musk freed the bird. Totalitarianism emerges from censorship, not freedom. Don't worry, there's no such thing as total freedom anyway (and no sane people validate n*zism today, but there are lots of good folks that get influenced by far left lunatics). :/
