  4. Thanks! If it's popular I could do more alongside other big sports tournaments.
  5. Thanks, although it's FIFA's really! I was hoping it might throw up a few surprise matches and results, and I think it has so far. It should really start to get exciting now we're in the knockout stages.
  6. And here's the tournament tree for the knockout stages -
  7. Belgium, England, Colombia and Poland are the final countries to make it through to the round of 16, which will kick off tonight! No real surprises in group G, with Rose Bertram, the comfortable winner, and Niamh Adkins second . (Just like the real world cup!) Group H was a much closer affair, with Tao Okamoto narrowly missing out on goal difference after her last minute win against Sandra Kubicka, who just holds on to second place.

  15. Brazil, Serbia, Germany and Sweden all progress to the Round of 16 Lais Ribeiro comfortably wins Group E, and has to move into the knockout stages as one of the favourites to lift the cup. However she will face a tough test in the next round against Elsa Hosk, who could only manage second place in Group F. Elsa was very nearly knocked out of the tournament by an excellent performance by Alejandra Guilmant. Toni Garrn wins Group F on goal difference, and will go through to face comparative newcomer Zorana Kuzmanovic, who did well to finish second in group E.

  25. Australia, Denmark, Nigeria and Argentina move on to the Round of 16 Sarah Stephens has had a great tournament so far, beating Josephine Skriver into second place in Group C. Group D was much tighter, with Meri Gulin only missing out on the next round because of her lower goal difference. Mayowa and Camila finished with the same goal difference and number of goals scored, so Mayowa takes the top spot thanks to beating Camila in their match.
