Dakota Johnson, Dan Stevens & More Join 'How to Be Single' After Fifty Shades of Grey, Dakota Johnson will reportedly star in the romantic comedy How to Be Single! According to Variety, the 25-year-old actress joins Dan Stevens, Leslie Mann, Alison Brie, and Rebel Wilson in the film directed by Christian Ditter. Based on the novel by Liz Tuccillo, the story follows Julie Jenson, a single New Yorker turned anthropologist. After a historically bad night out with her friends, Julie decides to cash it all in and hit the road. From Paris to Brazil to Sydney, Bali, Beijing, Mumbai and Reykjavik, Julie travels the world to find out if anyone has a better idea how to handle this whole “single” thing.
