Lily mentioned Leo twice in this interview.

I love these roundables so much. It's really fascinating seeing them interact and share experiences and stories. Too bad Leo didn't participate in one of those. My dream would be actors on actors with Leo and Lily or Leo and Kate Winslet 🥰

I really enjoy the roundtables as well. Thanks for the video!

  2. After my second viewing of KOTFM, I have to comment on the accent Cara Jade Myers used for Anna. I haven’t seen any comments about it anywhere, but I couldn’t help but notice the accent is not an Oklahoma accent at all. It’s more of a Georgia Southern Belle accent. With the dropped R’s and lilting cadence. It’s so obvious that it had to be a conscious choice between her and Marty. Perhaps it’s Anna putting on airs in a sense with her being a party girl with lots of money? Anyway, just found it an interesting character choice.

  3. I’m posting this, even though I know that most here don’t really care about the many indigenous communities of Oklahoma outside of Leo and KOTFM, but I was glad to see Leo acknowledge that “it’s still going on” here today. We (Oklahoma indigenous) are experiencing a bit of a backlash since the release of the movie and this article that was published today explains one of the many recent assaults occurring on our communities right now. I’m still disgusted and offended that Oklahoma’s lieutenant governor was present at Cannes for the movie this year. “Can you spot the wolves in this picture?” If you are Oklahoma indigenous, you certainly can.

    Quote from the article:

“I can’t help but feel the timing of Governor Stitt’s latest assault on sovereignty was uniquely tied to the release of “Killers of the Flower Moon.” I can’t help but think he’s behaved using the same tactics that The Devil and all the other white settlers used in dealing with the Osage 100 years ago. It is right out of the Hale playbook … Find any barely legal loophole to exploit and keep taking more and more.”

    “It’s still happening today.”

I don’t post too much here about what is going on, because obviously this is a Leo site. However, if anyone is interested, Google what Oklahoma has started doing to tribes this past couple of weeks. Ticketing people with tribal tags if they are off tribal land. Our Governor has tried every way he knows to get our money. This is just his latest scheme.

Jade   I read your comment about wondering what attributed to the $200 million budget, having seen the film we know it wasn't due to elaborate sets or special effects, so I would speculate that $100 million of it was due to the fees paid to Leo, DeNiro ,and Scorsese :idk:

They also paid big money for the huge houses each one stayed in during the long shoot.
