Oklahoma is one of many states with a high rate of missing or murdered Native American people, with over 12,000 documented cases since 2000. More than 4 out of 5 indigenous women have experienced some type of violence in their lifetime.

People Needed Multiple Days for Major Feature Film A group of adults, aged 30+, are needed to appear as background performers for multiple days in a major motion picture filming in Oklahoma. The persons will film on or about May 23-28, and then again June 1-4. They will be needed most of, if not all days. Filming will be in the Bartlesville, Pawhuska, Osage County area of Oklahoma The scenes take place in the 1920s. Those applying must be willing to have their hair altered by production, to match the period. Those selected would need to attend a costume fitting in Bartlesville, OK sometime this week or next at their convenience. Pay is a guarantee of $100/day for up to 10 hours per day. Anything over 10 hours incurs additional pay at $10/hour. Any hours worked over 40 hours in a week is paid at the rate of $15/hour. Covid testing and wardrobe fitting is also paid at a guarantee of $40/day up to 4 hours. BREAKDOWN TOWNSPEOPLE - Males and Females, aged 30-80. They will populate one of the towns in the film. They will walk the streets, attend a parade, meet people at the train, etc.

I would love to have the role, but 1. I’m Native American not Caucasian 2. I’m definitely not 25-32 years old 3. I will be out of state May 10-11. I’m waiting patiently for calls for middle aged Native American women 😄. After I have my 50th birthday this coming Saturday, I don’t think I can even be called middle aged anymore, so I’ll have to wait for OLD, Native American women 😂.

May 3, 2021  Woman Needed for Major Feature Film A Caucasian woman, aged 25-32, is needed to appear as a background performer Tuesday & Wednesday, May 10-11, in a major motion picture in Oklahoma. She is also scheduled for one more day, on or about July 26. Filming will be in the Bartlesville, Pawhuska, Osage County area of Oklahoma. Pay is a guarantee of $100/day for up to 10 hours per day. Anything over 10 hours incurs additional pay at $10/hour. Any hours worked over 40 hours in a week is paid at the rate of $15/hour. Covid testing and wardrobe fitting is also paid at a guarantee of $40/day up to 4 hours. The woman will be highly featured in the film.

I remembered I had a pic of the Kihekah Ave stairs. The top is Osage News’s photo which shows production building a facade in front of the stairs. The bottom is my personal photo taken at the top of the stairs. The Osage County Courthouse, where the trials took place, is right there at the top of the stairs.

Today’s casting call. April 28, 2021 Former Marching Band Members & Menacing Men for Major Feature Film Two groups of Caucasian men are needed to appear as extras in a major motion picture, soon to film in Oklahoma. The film takes place in 1920's Oklahoma. Both groups need to be available to rehearse the scene May 23 and then film the scene June 2.Rehearsal and filming will be in the Pawhuska area of Oklahoma. Persons selected for the scenes will be invited to attend a costume fitting within the next week or so. GROUP 1 - MARCHING BAND The first group of men need have prior experience in a marching band, either in high school or college. They need to be between the ages of 25-55 and should be able to march to a cadence in a parade. There is no need to bring or play instruments. Period instruments will be provided. Please list any marching band experience in your submission. GROUP 2 - MENACING MEN These men, aged 20-70, will walk in the parade as a group. Marching experience is not necessary. These roles are hoping to have their costume fitting this Friday, April 30 in Bartlesville, OK. The production is following strict health and safety protocols as mandated by the guilds and unions governing film production. All persons are required to be tested for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, and must wear protective face coverings at all times other than when filming. There are no exceptions. Compensation is a guarantee of $100/day for up to 10 hours per day. Anything over 10 hours incurs additional pay. Thanks, Oxford! Just to orient you, The downtown area of Pawhuska is within walking distance of the Airbnb that Leo is staying in and this white house is extremely close to the Airbnb, only a couple of blocks away. Fairfax is about a 30 minute drive from Pawhuska.

Leo tends to do a lot of remakes, Romeo and Juliet, Titanic, The Man in the Iron Mask, The Departed, The Great Gatsby. You could also count Marvin’s Room which was a stage play before it was a movie. There were also lots of movies about Howard Hughes and J Edgar before Leo tackled the character as well.

Thanks for the pics! Those businesses in downtown Pawhuska have been paid by the production company to shut down, basically a paid vacation. When we were there, there were signs in the windows of the businesses stating they were either going to continue operating in a temporary location, or shut down completely for awhile and reopen later.

Thanks, oxford! My sources have told me that Leo is currently staying in Bartlesville, OK. Perhaps we will start to get some sightings.

Oxford It looks familiar, but only because the entire area looks just like that 😄, but no I can’t say that I know that house. I do have a little bit of scoop though. An old high school friend of mine reached out to inform me that Robert DeNiro has rented one of her good friend’s houses in Tulsa, OK for the duration of the shoot. She believes Leo may have rented one down the street from De Niro as well. Apparently, they are renting houses that are for sale in Tulsa instead of Airbnb’s in order to be less seen. She said De Niro is paying her friend big bucks to be out of her house. It’s a big house surrounded by a big security gate. It’s kind of a long drive (at least an hour) from Tulsa to the Bartlesville/Pawhuska area, so I’m thinking Leo and Marty and maybe De Niro have rented houses in all three locations and will be moving around depending on where they are shooting at the time. Also, I’ve been PMing Cara Jade Myers (Anna) about trival little things she has asked regarding Oklahoma. I honestly didn’t expect her to respond, but she has several times and she is really nice.

So happy filming has finally begun. It has taken forever to get to this point.

These men will play 1920's train porters and baggage handlers. The role will film on or about May 24-25 in the Bartlesville, Pawhuska, Osage County area of Oklahoma. A wardrobe fitting appointment is likely this coming Tuesday, April 20 in Bartlesville. The schedule is subject to change, but the men would be needed two filming days. Pay is a guarantee of $100/day for up to 10 hours per day. Anything over 10 hours incurs additional pay. Covid testing and wardrobe fitting is also paid at a guarantee of $40/day up to 4 hours.

A family member of mine is auditioning for the Male Warrior role. Fingers crossed that he gets chosen.

Today’s casting call April 14, 2021 Native American Warrior for Major Feature Film A major motion picture, soon to film in Oklahoma, is looking for a large Native American male to portray a Warrior Ancestor. This person must be in good shape, have a good physique, and must be willing to appear in minimal clothing. He must be willing to have his head shaved for the scene. The role will film on or about May 14 in the Bartlesville, Pawhuska, Osage County area of Oklahoma. Please note that while the character is Osage, we welcome submissions from all North American and South American Indigenous backgrounds. Testing for COVID-19, costume fitting, head shaving and appearing in the film is all compensated. The person will be highly featured in this major film.
