Why should he present best picture? Aren't the winners of the year before mostly the presenters or is that only in the actors categories?
No the Best Picture award is presented by a big celebrity every year, it doesn't have to be the winner of the previous year since the producers are the ones who win this award not actors

If he attended the oscars without being nominated just as Lilys supportive +1 I swear the world would collapse. Best free pr ever. Just sayin. 😙
It's also a bit different than 1998 I think. He's much more mature now (mostly *cough) and he cares about KOTFM and the highly important message of it like he cares for Marty and Lily and DeNiro. And even though he might cared for Kate back then he never felt that amount of commitment to Titanic nor James Cameron let's be real.
I have a feeling he might attend too, let's hope he presents best picture😊

To be honest, I've read very detailed description of the Vineland plot , and , personally, it is not a storyline that appeals to me
Those who believe the new movie is based on Vineland , also, think Leo will play Brock Vond , a federal agent who was involved in a relationship at one point with Prarie's mother Frenesi
Personally, I'm HOPING PTA's new film is NOT based on Vineland
Well whether it's Vineland or another project
, eventhough Vineland doesn't sound too appealing but if it's really vineland I won't be mad cause I know Leo chooses his projects carefully so ofc the adaptation is very good, I trust his choices😘

No, he won't come. In 2022, he did not come to SAG, although he was nominated for Best Acting Ensemble with his colleagues (for Don't look up). This award season is totally over for Leo.
Yeah especially that he's currently shooting his new film, the only reason he might attend is in support of Lily. OR he might present best picture at the oscars. This is just me daydreaming😂

Yes he's probably very happy for Lily. But I still think he will be a little sad for the snub because the movie meant a lot to him and he once said getting recognition from his peers meant a lot to him.
Not only that, he worked so hard on the film, on and behined the screen. DAMN

This award season has made me admire Leo even more. He knows him being nominated and winning awards is inconsequential for his career. He will get whatever roles he wants with or without them. The fact that he recognized that the white man needed to step aside when the movie/story wasn’t about him is admirable. 🥰Me too🥰
Even though it's a huge SUNB and he really desereved the nomination but it seems like it's another Revolutionary Road situation:(
But we all know that after many years people will keep talking about his perforamance as Ernest and none will remember Rustin or Maestro, but yeah it seems like Leo did that on purpose and he said it before "I just want to see Leo shines" or maybe he was afraid that if he campaigned for himself and in case they nominate him and didn't nominate Lily there will be an immense backlash on him? Maybe I don't know
