Wow  , who said 33 is old? And who said he isn't aggressive enough? His never needed to be an aggressive player to get where he has in his career. And what has AGE got to do with it when it comes to ads and commercials? If Beckham, Henry, Puyol, Anelka, Klose, Del Piero, Totti and many many others in their early to mid 30's can be in ads what is the problem? Plus it is not their age that sells the merchandise it's their name and talent. I guess it's not just the critics he has to prove wrong but fans too but I'm sure he will do great wherever he goes and I can't wait to enjoy and support him. Please stop talking about money like he needs it, he doesn't and that is not the kind of player he is or ever was. When he got offered a chance to move to Abramovich's Chelsea. He said something along the lines of 'not for all the oils in Russia'. He doesn't think like the 'new school' footballers of today, football is first and foremost his passion as long as he is playing top level football at this stage in his career, he'll be happy. Half his wages going to taxes? I really doubt that when it comes to the super rich period they have to pay just like everyone else depending on their income but it doesn't make much of a difference if your pay check is 80,000-100,000 a week. His fit, his healthy, his talented and he needs to play and since RM can't offer that to him it's times to close this chapter and open a completely fresh new one

trust me he has earned over 9 to 10 million euros annually with Real Madrid for the past 10-15 years, plus all the commercial deals he has had over the years. He has more than enough for his great great great grandchildren to live on . Plus at Schalke he will be the 'STAR' of the team, so probably commercials, tv ads and new deals in Germany he will be earning more than 5 Million of sure. Plus his in real estate business with his mother, don't know if they are still on that but he has many other means of income .

If Real Madrid have not confirmed it on their website then it is still just a rumour- Cristiano Ronaldo
his dating Irina Shayk ... Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend has been left 'deeply upset' over rumours surrounding her reaction to him becoming a father by surrogate. The Russian model has been at the centre of reports that she knew nothing about the birth of the baby boy and a Facebook page in her name suggested she had been left in tears by her boyfriend's announcement. As her footballer beau relaxed by a pool in New York today, Irina, 24, furiously denied the rumours in a statement issued by her spokesman, and said anything that was allegedly said in previous reports by her was fake It said: 'There have been rumors that have recently been publicised surrounding our client Irina Shayk's personal life and the birth of Cristiano Ronaldo's son. 'Any such statements allegedly made by Ms. Shayk are false. Furthermore, any statements allegedly made by Ms. Shayk regarding marriage at this time or wanting to have children at this time are also false, as recently printed by European tabloids. 'She has not and will not in the future comment on such matters and believes her private life and that of her friends’ are not material for gossip. 'It is unfortunate that individuals take it upon themselves to create fake fan pages and release false statements for any reason. For the time being, Ms Shayk has suspended her Twitter account in the wake of such rumors.' The part talking to reports about the couple in European tabloids last week referred to suggestions that Ronaldo, 24, had proposed to Irina and they were planning to have a baby together. In light of the news about the surrogate mother, postings on her Facebook fan page, claimed that she was 'devastated' about the surrogate son. A friend close to the model added today: 'She is at the end of her tether. She is sick and tired of it all and fed up with it hanging over her head. 'She is a private person and feels she is under siege. She just wants to carry on with her relationship with Ronaldo.' Irinia has stuck by her boyfriend since he made the announcement that he had become a father to a baby boy by a surrogate mother. On his Facebook page, he wrote: 'It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become a father to a baby boy. 'As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.' The footballer's sister Katia Aveiro, speaking at her home in Vilamoura on the Algarve in Portugal, said the baby - born weighing 9lb 8oz on June 17 - had made her brother 'very happy'. The child is now said to be in the care of other members of Ronaldo's family in Vilamoura, including his mother Dolores. Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias claimed the baby was conceived with a surrogate mother at the end of last summer in San Diego, where the Real Madrid star was on holiday. A spokesman for Ronaldo's management company Gestifute confirmed he had become a father but refused to comment on the surrogacy claims. He was said to have flown home to Portugal to see the baby as soon as the national team was knocked out of the World Cup.- Raúl González Blanco

not everything the media write is actual FACT! we don't know the whole truth and I think that amount is a lie too.- Cristiano Ronaldo
I think he has put the child first by taking full responsibility but how he deals and reacts to it is his business. He will not be home all day everydy with the baby he will have nannies for that because he can, his on holiday maybe he didn't want to travel across the globe with the baby again after his flight from USA to Portugal. No matter what people would have found out about his son no doubt better to let it out before people started speculating and making up stories like they are doing already.- Guti

No, I didn't mean you at all. You and I were interacting just fine, I guess I was just talking in general. I'm 110% sure we will all talk about Sara again and again- Cristiano Ronaldo
I think this is such a delicate issue for Ronaldo and his family, he can only deal with it in his own way. The way we expect people to behave about things is different to the they actually react with things like these, we all react and deal in different ways. No one knows what he is going through inside about this situation, of course he has to say he is happy but we don't know if he truly is or not. Plus the media will spread so many malicious rumours to try and find the truth but the whole truth lies with Cris and his family. I can't judge him on taking a break with his girlfriend before going home to his son because I don't have a clue as to what he is going through and thinking. I'm sure he will be a wonderful father and his son will never have to ask for nothing but parenthood is a learning process and it has to sink in with him, maybe he just found out when the baby was born and DNA tests were done to know for sure, we just don't know. I hope all goes well and good luck to him.- Iker Casillas
I respect your opinion completely because if I didn't I'd call you a 'child' or 'jealous' or a 'hater' depending on the topic. I'd never label anyone here anything like that because I know we might like certain players but the things they do or the women they the associate themselves with we will all have very strong and different views about them. I have too much respect for everyone here to try and belittle or take the piss out of an opinion others have the right to have. And you can talk about Sara if you want, she's his girlfriend but just respect that we will all have a difference of opinion on her/him... everything- International Rugby Players
