I completely disagree with what you say here. I do in fact think empowered women who have made a decision about their well-being are better ex-wives and better mothers. Your image of a housewife who gives up everything for the well-being of others while damaging herself in the process is an extremely conservative – frankly sexist – point of view. You're hardly a Gisele fan because the impression is that she is her own person and always has been. If her reputation is damaged amongst people who think like you, then good. Look away! As for sin – people should focus on eliminating worse sins in this world than an amicable divorce between adults. I am just going to leave it here. None of us know what went on in their marriage and nor do we have the right to know.

@Teamrican1 That is an utterly ridiculous thing to say. Shirking responsibility towards your family to pursue an American football career deserves the heat frankly. Abandoning your family, and spending more energy on your range of TB12 tidy whities deserves the heat. Never defending your wife against misogynistic fans deserves the heat. It is hard to comprehend that a so-called Gisele fans think that she deserves a public flogging for looking after her own happiness and mental well-being. If you're a mother or a wife, your own happiness is just as important. As for legacy, she'll be just fine – I have faith most people don't have antiquarian views about women making their choice and their right to get a divorce. Power to Gisele!

In the UK, the Daily Mail*sounds like it got a very specific message from Gisele's team that they are not in a relationship. Otherwise that paper drags the story as much as they can. * I hate myself for going on that website – for Gisele news only 🫣 ** just wanted to pip up here, only American football fans know who Tom Brady is (and me, a Gisele fan). He's not a household name.

I just googled the distance between Tampa and Miami. It's four hours away, that's far! (in my small Island mind!) It looks like their divorce was amicable but I hope she got a good deal and managed to protect all her assets – once they agreed fair custody terms of course. I also remember reading she invested in a lot of property and had a vast portfolio?

I am British, I only follow Tom Brady for Gisele updates and I think the thing I hate the most is that he never defends his wife publicly. But yes, it is still sad regardless. However, unfollowing him and his insufferable clothing promos on social media will give me great pleasure!

So annoyed about the u-turn, on so many levels! Also it feels like Gisele has been in Costa Rica for ages and Tom has not been, so I was wondering what was going on there. But who knows, they live quite an incognito life these days.

I always thought she had made the decision to step back by herself, so now I am annoyed at her husband, even though he's redeemed himself a little in my eyes over the last year. It's a long time as well – a whole decade of your life!

^I don't think she or her husband are opposed to the vaccine – I think I read Tom is fully vaccinated so I presume she is too. They just prefer to be seen as apolitical when it comes to US politics. I can see why though! From what I gathered it's because of the NFL season?

The December 1999 Vogue is the first Vogue I ever purchased as a pre-teen, and I had to beg my mum to buy it for me. I still have it – apart from the two fantastic editorials and two features, Gisele was on every other page. Adverts, mentions etc. I digress – thanks for the memories @Vogue Girl. Feeling a bit old but still a massive Gisele fan!

I think at this point in her career she doesn't have to prove herself – I agree this editorial is same-y but it does of course depend on the stylists, editors and type of publication etc. I also think it's great she works and promotes her friends from Harry Josh to Nino Munoz but a bit of a change up occasionally might help. I think her work with Steven Meisel is the best. Still a good editorial though!
