    Leonardo Dicaprio didn’t want to read for ‘Titanic’ audition

    When we think of Titanic, our memories are inexorably linked to Rose and Jack as Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio. However, while promoting the upcoming release of ‘Titanic’ on blu-ray in a question and answer session, director James Cameron says Dicaprio originally didn’t even want to read for the part.

    He says, “Leonardo almost didn’t get cast in movie since he refused to read. He got a nomination and didn’t want to read at age 19. Kate Winslet was already cast and Leonardo came in and he didn’t want to read. He said he wouldn’t read, so I said thanks for coming in and next time. I walked away and he yelled out, ‘So if I don’t read I don’t even have a chance?’ and I said “Yea, pretty much.’ And oh man, there was some serious eye-rolling. I have a five year old who doesn’t roll her eyes that much. And he groaned and moaned but he read the scene and before my eyes he turned into Jack. Now it was my problem because I had to cast him. It took me five weeks to talk him into doing it.”

    Im getting many messages about Leo and Erin lately, about the talk on the "Leo forum", esp today. A lot of hate about them (esp about Erin)

    There was no hate on this forum today, just a general discussion about his relationship status. I think that's a pretty common topic for fans. No one was hating on Erin. In fact, people on here really seem to like her.

    Where is that story about the tuk tuk driver from?

    well, I guess that some of the girls here were just wondering what happend between them I haven´t seen any kind of hate for her or Leo, and it is normal asking questions Leo is our favorite actor we care about him, and is a forum,as somebody said we are just asuming nothing is for sure, is their buisness yes is true, but I don´t think that our words can change what they do or think, I guess that some people here take this too seriouslly.

    I was starting to wonder myself cause there have been sightings of them seperately.... There's been a few sightings of Leo at restaurants and out partying with no mention of Erin. But then again, there was a period last spring where there was no mention of them for awhile and then they were spotted together. Maybe Erin's working a lot to promote the Victoria Secret's fashion show? Isn't it coming up soon? Usually the media mentions if Leo attends that.

    Common girls is an unauthorized biography as someone said some of the information are from unreliable tabloids or maybe just made to sell books, is very easy to know that Leo adores and admire George, maybe he is not perfect but Leo always says the good influence that his father is for his life, so I doubt about the information, of course I'm not saying that George is a saint or a devil when he was young but maybe we don't most take this things for facts.

    My love for LEo stared with titanic, well is a long story but I'm a big fan of the tItanic the ship since 1995 I was just a kid, and then when I knew about this movie I was really happy, and when I finally saw it. I loved the spirit that LEo gave to JAck, and I glad people now with this video of Kate can see that LEo is not just a beautiful face, and when TItanic came up the most of the people forgot the great charisma and talent he has, the popularity of this film make people think about him like a poster boy and I'm sure TItanic without LEo wouldn't have been the classic that is today.
