  15. Photographer sues Lindsay Lohan, mother Paparazzo claims actress hit him with her car, seeks unspecified damages Access Hollywood Updated: 2:19 p.m. CT May 11, 2007 NEW YORK - Lindsay Lohan and her mother Dina are being sued by a photographer who was allegedly struck by a car driven by Lindsay in New York on March 13, Access Hollywood has learned. According to the court papers, Giovanni Arnold claims he "sustained severe and permanent personal injuries" due to the incident. The lawsuit was filed on Thursday in New York State Supreme Court, Bronx County. Arnold claims Lindsay was the driver and Dina is the owner of the car. In the lawsuit, he states the defendants (Lindsay and Dina) were "negligent, careless and reckless" with the vehicle, causing him personal injury and economic loss. He is asking the court for a sum of money "which exceeds the jurisdictional limits of all lower courts which would otherwise have jurisdiction." No specific amount was given in the court papers filed on Thursday. On Wednesday, Lindsay was on the David Letterman show and during her interview, played a game of "Fact or Fiction" where Letterman ran down different tabloid rumors about the actress. When asked if it was true she drove over a photographer's foot, Lindsay joked "No, but I should ... the guy completely faked it. Amazing." Copyright 2007 by NBC. All rights reserved. 16. From Yahoo: Back to Story - Help Leonardo Courts Trouble at Home by Natalie Finn Sat May 12, 8:22 AM ET It looks as if Leonardo DiCaprio's neighbors won't be challenging him to a pickup game anytime soon. The couple who live next to the Blood Diamond star in the Hollywood Hills sued him Thursday, claiming that the basketball court he had built on his property in 2004 has undermined the land supporting their backyard pool. Ronald and Joan Linclau are seeking at least $250,000 in damages for trespass, removal of lateral and subjacent support of land, and nuisance, according to court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. When DiCaprio installed the court several years ago, the complaint states, the construction extended onto the Linclau's property, destabilizing the slope behind their house and resulting in the removal of some of their plants. The suit does not mention whether the pool itself was harmed or merely endangered. DiCaprio, meanwhile, knew that the work was going to affect his neighbors' property, ignored their demands to stop and has refused to pay for any of the damage, according to the Linclaus. A spokesman for the usually very environmentally friendly actor could not be reached for comment. Further down the boulevard, however, everything is right as rain for the Oscar nominee, who is currently attached to a handful of films, including the upcoming adaptation of the Malcolm Gladwell bestseller Blink, about the philosophy behind making first impressions, and the Ridley Scott-directed thriller Body of Lies, based on David Ignatius' novel, in which DiCaprio will play a former journalist hired by the CIA to hunt down a terrorist in the Middle East. DiCaprio is also set to reunite with his Titanic costar Kate Winslet in Sam Mendes' Revolutionary Road—another literary adaptation, this one by Richard Yates—as a married couple in 1950s Connecticut who give up the familiar comforts of home to pursue a more bohemian existence in France. Here's hoping things work out better for them than they did on that boat.
  17. Thanks matt.

  19. Girls Aloud star Cheryl Tweedy has branded her pop rival Lily Allen a “chick with a dick”. The star made the stinging accusation on celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey’s show , where he read out celebrities comments about Tweedy to wind her up. After being reminded Lily once claimed no one wanted to look like Tweedy, Cheryl shot back, “Because everyone wants to look like her. Chick with a dick.” The wife of Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole was similarly charming about Charlotte Church, who she had a long-running feud with. She ranted, “She’s either talking s**t or talking about someone else. A**h**e,” after Gordon read out some of the Welsh singer’s old barbs. Cheryl really does sound like a classy, well-tempered individual. No wonder The Sun’s Victoria Newton uses her comments as evidence “showbiz needs more” stars like her. http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news?id=31586
