PRICELESS! My fave line by far. Leo spread his talent, swear I was almost with tears rolling down my face when I saw this scene. EPIC! I have no words to describe how much I loved the second trailer. I think I've watched about 50 times now and haven't got tired. I keep watching over and over.

Pami As you know from reading Gatsby, Fitzgerald never does give Gatsby's age or even state much about what he looked like hair coloring/etc. The one quality of his that is spoken about many times , and the one that Nick ( the narrator) first recalls about him is his smile that can light any room , and that is what to me is the Gatsby trait that Leo has ten fold Oxford...my question is...is he smiling at me in this pic? Couldn't agree more with you...

I respectfully disagree with you Wijn when it comes to Gatsby, for me Leo's the perfect Jay Gatsby since Robert Redford. Ok,I haven't seen the movie yet but from reading the book just like Kat I can assume it. The video can't be viewed from my location either...- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
I agree with you Barbie.;-) Something happened in my previous post, sorry hehe :-P- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
Definitevely, this girl don't know nothing about Leo and honestly I don't see why people always want to make this comparisons. Each actor is an actor and everyone is unique, I agree that River was a good actor and I think we are entitlited to have our own opnions and say "oh, I think this actor is better than that another actor", but no need to compare anyone. Well, I don't compare Leo to any other actor, I think he's the best but I don't compare him with anyone.- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)

Check this out...it's ok if she's a fan of River Phoenix but I'm sure she doesnt know anything about Leo. River Phoenix or Leonardo Di Caprio? River!!! Leo looked up to River, and inherited at least two movies River either had or was being majorly considered for (The Basketball Diaries & Total Eclipse) so I'd assume both tried out originally but River won both parts. River was nominated for an Oscar at 17 (one of the youngest nominees in Academy history), Leo wasn't nominated (though still very impressive) til he was 19 for Gilbert Grape. I think (& many critics apparently did too) River was the greatest of his generation (which included people like Leo, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, etc) which is pretty impressive. I like Leo, and I think he's become a good person, but River was a good person from the start. He didn't start out as an arrogant young actor that seemed to feel entitled (which by many accounts Leo did). He never embraced the Hollywood or celebrity scene (all the more sad an ironic that he'll be forever linked to it for dying basically in the middle of it), and always was so kind and down to earth. Definitely wise beyond his years. One thing that really bugs me about the River vs Leo is that 20 years ago River was preaching all about global warming and taking care of our environment and actually doing something about it. He was either ignored, criticized, or ridiculed for his efforts by most of the media and alot of the public. 15+ years later Leo joins the bandwagon and everyone's like what a revolutionary actor and a great humanitarian!!!!! Um hello!!!!! Where were they 20 years ago??? He was also an outsider for being a vegan in Hollywood, now every other celeb is. And then of course there's River and the animals. Who could not love a guy that literally loved animals so much he changed his entire life because of them?? He had to be one of the first big names to represent PETA (long before Pam Anderson & The Kardashians "would rather go naked than wear fur", which I'm convinced they did primarily to flaunt themselves than to promote animals, lol). So my vote definitely goes to River, as an actor, humanitarian, animal lover, and all around angelic human being. He was one of the best and I still cry every year on Oct. 31. And c'mon, let's not kid ourselves, Stand By Me is always gonna be better than Titanic, lol at least in my book anyway!!!!!- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)

Oxford...I agree when it comes to River Phoenix. Btw,River was not as popular as Leo at that time...FACT. So how can they say that Leo replaced him after his death? I'm not saying River was a bad actor, actually he was a good actor ( though I only watched Stand By me but he was good in it). But if we check the roles that Leo got in his early career and the roles that River got we can see that Leo was way better than him ( and more handsome too...sorry )....at least in my opinion. Movies like This Boy's Life and What's eating Gilbert Grape for a 18- year- old boy (Leo's age at that time) starring great actors, give Leo the respect he deserves for me. And forget Critters 3.- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
<_< How Leonardo DiCaprio ruined David Westin's day In 1997, David Westin took his first job in journalism. His position? President of ABC News. Westin chronicled his 14 years at the helm of ABC News for his new book "Exit Interview," which he discussed on George Washington University's campus Thursday night. Westin's most embarrassing moment came about in 2000, when actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who was chairman of Earth Day Network, was brought in to host an environmental special for the network. The plan was for DiCaprio to be filmed walking and talking with President Clinton, but the segment turned into a full fledged interview. "If someone would have said, 'we want to send Leonardo DiCaprio to India to interview the President of the United States about the environment for a primetime special,' I would have said, 'absolutely, no way, no how,'" Westin said. "It was a terrible mistake," he said, of having a movie star do a journalist's job. To make matters worse, at that year's White House Correspondents' Dinner, President Clinton, who got the Leo treatment, got personal. The "Titanic" theme song played as Clinton, "stood over to the side with his hand clutched over his heart," before saying "haunting, isn't it?" Westin recalled. Riffing on Westin and ABC News, Clinton finished with the line, "David Westin, don't worry about it, I've had my share of troubles as well." http://washingtonexaminer.com/how-leonardo-dicaprio-ruined-david-westins-day/article/2510117#.UGx222eSV48- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
Leo Lover...I always love your excitement,oh my!! I'm with you girl! This is it girls...let's scream and say...Get Leo an Oscar orelse I will fight against you all!! :jimmy: I'm pretty sure Leo's the best actor of his generation Joyezz...although some people say that Leo only does success nowadays because River Phoenix died... ( I swear I read it). Tks for everything girls!- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
Pami That is not the same every year with Leo and the Oscar race? No doubt that Hoffman's performance is/could be incredible (I have not seen The Master yet ) but I think the press could wait to watch the other performances that still remains to be seen (including Leo's and Waltz in Django) instead of assuring the award to someone already. Geez! :baronlamesign: Well, At least I have some comfort that Leo has something in his favor that has worked for others: Almighty Harvey Weinstein ,we trust in you! Do your thing :neo2: Yes it's always the same thing Princess and girls! I'm getting tired about all these things and I'm starting to think there is something wrong with it all... :yuckky: I'm not saying or judging Philip's work,of course he's a great actor but come on...get Leo an Oscar!! Let's do just like these people below...- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)

Kat...tell me they are not asking this again?? "Oscars: Can Anyone Beat Philip Seymour Hoffman To Best Supporting Actor?" Please, tell me that's not truth and that Leo is the only favorite actor in the Oscar race for best supporting actor? :anger: It seems that always may appear someone with high chances to get it when Leo's in the race for an Oscar. <_< I'm sick of it!!
