  1. Oxford...I agree when it comes to River Phoenix. Btw,River was not as popular as Leo at that time...FACT. So how can they say that Leo replaced him after his death? I'm not saying River was a bad actor, actually he was a good actor ( though I only watched Stand By me but he was good in it). But if we check the roles that Leo got in his early career and the roles that River got we can see that Leo was way better than him ( and more handsome too...sorry )....at least in my opinion. Movies like This Boy's Life and What's eating Gilbert Grape for a 18- year- old boy (Leo's age at that time) starring great actors, give Leo the respect he deserves for me. And forget Critters 3.
  2. <_< How Leonardo DiCaprio ruined David Westin's day In 1997, David Westin took his first job in journalism. His position? President of ABC News. Westin chronicled his 14 years at the helm of ABC News for his new book "Exit Interview," which he discussed on George Washington University's campus Thursday night. Westin's most embarrassing moment came about in 2000, when actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who was chairman of Earth Day Network, was brought in to host an environmental special for the network. The plan was for DiCaprio to be filmed walking and talking with President Clinton, but the segment turned into a full fledged interview. "If someone would have said, 'we want to send Leonardo DiCaprio to India to interview the President of the United States about the environment for a primetime special,' I would have said, 'absolutely, no way, no how,'" Westin said. "It was a terrible mistake," he said, of having a movie star do a journalist's job. To make matters worse, at that year's White House Correspondents' Dinner, President Clinton, who got the Leo treatment, got personal. The "Titanic" theme song played as Clinton, "stood over to the side with his hand clutched over his heart," before saying "haunting, isn't it?" Westin recalled. Riffing on Westin and ABC News, Clinton finished with the line, "David Westin, don't worry about it, I've had my share of troubles as well." http://washingtonexaminer.com/how-leonardo-dicaprio-ruined-david-westins-day/article/2510117#.UGx222eSV48

( I swear I read it). Tks for everything girls!
  4. Pami That is not the same every year with Leo and the Oscar race? No doubt that Hoffman's performance is/could be incredible (I have not seen The Master yet ) but I think the press could wait to watch the other performances that still remains to be seen (including Leo's and Waltz in Django) instead of assuring the award to someone already. Geez! :baronlamesign: Well, At least I have some comfort that Leo has something in his favor that has worked for others: Almighty Harvey Weinstein ,we trust in you! Do your thing :neo2: Yes it's always the same thing Princess and girls! I'm getting tired about all these things and I'm starting to think there is something wrong with it all... :yuckky: I'm not saying or judging Philip's work,of course he's a great actor but come on...get Leo an Oscar!! 6. Kat...tell me they are not asking this again?? "Oscars: Can Anyone Beat Philip Seymour Hoffman To Best Supporting Actor?" Please, tell me that's not truth and that Leo is the only favorite actor in the Oscar race for best supporting actor? :anger: It seems that always may appear someone with high chances to get it when Leo's in the race for an Oscar. <_< I'm sick of it!! Ok,now i'm feeling better.
  7. Am I the only one who hates Barbara Walters and her "gentle" questions?

  11. Leonardo DiCaprio Advocates Against Poaching What doesn’t Leonardo DiCaprio do for animals? This week, he’s speaking on behalf of wildlife across the country and the importance of ceasing poaching. As he writes on Facebook, “Poaching is rampant throughout Africa – all for elephant ivory products that nobody needs. If we can’t stop the illegal ivory trade in China and other countries, elephants will continue to be killed at alarming rates. Learn how the International Fund for Animal Welfare – IFAW is addressing this crisis and how you can help.” This particular article that DiCaprio posted discusses how poachers have become more militarized and traffickers are now more organized. Not only does ivory come from Africa, but a lot is ending up in China. IFAW has been working for years on the issue and like DiCaprio says you can help. Read the article to learn more. This isn’t the first time “The Great Gatsby” actor has spoken against poaching. Most recently, it was announced he, Toby Maguire and Tom Hardy are uniting talents to develop an anti-poaching film. Knowing these three, the movie won’t be shy in revealing what the industry truly is about and will stand up whole-heartedly for the protection of animals. http://www.ecorazzi.com/2012/10/04/leonardo-dicaprio-advocates-against-poaching/
  12. Hey girls....I just saw what Barbie wrote to me on facebook. That was exactly what she wrote and I tried to translate... Hi Pami, sorry to bother you again but I saw that they keep asking for me in the thread, unfortunately I am still not with my PC. My cousin who always helps me with that came to fix it... but still did not work, so don't know when I'll be able to post in bz. I'm still reading and watching the news on my brother's pc ... hehe. So if you can tell them that these problems with my computer remain unsolved , I am grateful. Kisses!!
  13. Hello sweeties!! Tks for vids, pics and articles!! Do I need to say again I'm dying to see his upcoming movies?? Why this year does not end soon? I mean .... I'm not talking about the end of the world ok? Oxford...you should notify me before posting these photos...I may have a heart attack! Girls...I will try to contact Barbie again okie? I also miss her, she's a good friend.
  14. Sick and Amandine, tks for pics... :wub2: Princess, tks for tweets! Oxford...I haven't heard anymore from Barbie...unfortunately. The last time she spoke to me it was when I came up here with the news about her.
  15. I just didnt like this comment below...what does this have to do with the proposal? Why they always need to mention that Leo is not "the dreamy young boy from Titanic anymore"? Do they know that people get older over time? It really pi**** me off (sorry girls)...I think that people are not only beautiful in their youth, maturity also gives us wonders. After all, Leo is not the dreamy young string bean he was in Titanic, and Tobey hasn't painted himself into a skintight hero suit in five years. Both are 37, not exactly peers to the group they're trying to influence. Tks for the article Kat!
  16. Leonardo DiCaprio’s crusade: Vote 4 Stuff Leonardo DiCaprio finds time to be national chairman of Earth Day and a director of the Natural Resources Defense Council even while delivering Oscar nominated performances for such directors as Martin Scorsese and Clint Eastwood. He has now, with his production company Appian Way, launched a youth-directed campaign called Vote 4 Stuff. It consists of videos calling on young people to use social media in the last month of the campaign, outflanking candidates’ negative TV commercials and saying what issues they want discussed in election 2012. “We are using the power of social media throughout the Vote 4 Stuff campaign to incite bipartisan conversation around real issues, encourage registration and voting in November,” DeCaprio told the Associated Press. Americans under 35 are the nation’s most progressive but least reliable voters, studies of the electorate show. Other young actors doing Vote f4 Stuff videos include Tobe MaGuire, Zac Efron, Selena Gomez, Sarah Silverman, and Jason Gordon Levitt. DiCaprio’s politics are a little to the left of those of the man he most recently played in the movies, the late FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. http://blog.seattlep...e-vote-4-stuff/
  17. Tks Princess and Sick for pics!! Tks for vote4stuff video...loved it!!
  18. Wijn tks again for further information! I'd really like to get this book,it seems to be sooo interesting. There are many things in this book which I had heard before, like his "love story" with his classmate Cessi,I remember I heard something that he was into Naomi Campbell as well at that time....the most impressive thing is that Leo really had many women throughout his life. At least according to the book. Tks a lot girls!!
  19. Hey Oxford...where's your avi?
