Beyoncé confirms role in A Star Is Born opposite Leonardo DiCaprio <h2 class="h2">Beyoncé has confirmed she will be appearing in the remake of A Star Is Born, reportedly opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.</h2> The Bootylicious singer had been rumoured to be taking on the lead role in the Clint Eastwood-directed film for some time, but she finally confirmed it during an interview with Good Morning America. 'Clint Eastwood? Can you believe that? I can't believe it still. When I met with him I was just in awe. I'm so, so honoured that he believes in me. And I can't wait to do this film,' she enthused. 'I represent this generation's talent and for me to be the chosen person, as an African American woman, is incredible,' the hitmaker added. This will be the fourth time A Star Is Born has hit cinema screens, with Hollywood greats including Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand and Janet Gaynor playing Beyoncé's role before. DiCaprio has long been rumoured to be playing the male lead in the flick, which is a rags-to-riches tale about a has-been rockstar who falls for a young, aspiring singer. Beyoncé's music career, meanwhile, doesn't show any signs of waning any time soon. I remember seeing a pic like this on Twitter awhile back when Leo was attending a United Nations dinner, I think it was. If it's the pic I'm thinking of, she was the event planner for the dinner and was tweeting about it on her company's Twitter account. I forget the name of the company, but I remember her tweeting about it.... she got to sit next to him at the dinner because there was a space open at his table. Lucky lady! Really Lucky lady JouJou!
