Natalia Vodianova To Be Honored By DVF March 18, 2013 9:27 am On April 4, Diane von Furstenberg and the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation will host the fourth annual DVF Awards—a ceremony that honors philanthropic and all-around stand-up females who work to better the lives of other women. Today, Style.com can announce that model Natalia Vodianova will receive the Inspiration Award—an accolade given to women who have shown strength in the face of adversity and used their experiences to help others. Vodianova is being recognized for her work with the Naked Heart Foundation—a group, of which she is the founder and president, that aims to provide a safe and inspiring play environment for Russian children. And the Russian-born supermodel is in the company of some pretty remarkable women—previous winners include Elizabeth Smart and Jaycee Dugard. “Diane is like a mother to me, so I do believe she is a little biased,” Vodianova told Style.com. “With that said, she is also the one person who knows the most, outside of the Naked Heart Foundation team, how passionate I am about my cause, and how hard I work to realize it.” Vodianova will be honored during an event at the United Nations.
