^^ One of the thousand Leo-movie discussions I've had Did Rose have Jack's child? Was Inception real? Was Teddy cured or not? etc. etc. etc. IIT-Madras in talks with Leonardo DiCaprio & Christopher Nolan to train "inceptors", no more nightmares for IITM women! Following their new rule of employing male escorts compulsorily for all women on campus beyond 11 pm, one of the nation's finest engineering institutions, IIT-Madras has now gone a step ahead in the same direction. This time, the institute's administration will see to it that all women on campus do not get bad dreams at night, by employing "inceptors". Wasting no further time in trying to enforce their rule, director Bhaskar Ramamurthi said - "I will be holding a high-level meeting with Leonardo DiCaprio and Christopher Nolan soon, to discuss the idea. Some highly experienced professors from the psychology department will also be joining me. I'm hoping that this extraordinary idea of mine, too, materializes well. We, at IIT-M, give utmost priority to the safety and well-being of women. So far, we have taken care to see that there is no physical danger for women at nights, by employing wonderful escorts. The next step is to see that there is no mental danger. A lot of women get very bad dreams & thoughts in which they are subject to negativity. In order to see that this doesn't happen, we propose to have what I fondly call as 'inceptors', who would sleep near the girls whenever they want to sleep; seamlessly enter their dreams and see to it that the dreams are bereft of negativity". "I'm hoping that DiCaprio and Nolan accept my magnificent idea and agree to train student volunteers to be inceptors, masters at the art of inception. As a trial run, inceptors will operate only at night. If things go well, we will ask the inceptors to block all negative thoughts in girls' minds, during daytime as well. This way, women will not have to worry about anything at all", said a smiling Ramamurthi. When asked about what a girl would do, if the inceptor himself were to be the cause of her nightmare, the director said - "Simple. The girl just has to wake up, whistle out to another inceptor, who will enter the same dream and fight her inceptor", comprehensively proving that it is not for no reason that the greatest of human minds are developed in IITs. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan will soon be visiting the campus, in order to promote cellular network Idea's new 3G plans, with exciting features for internet usage at night. However, this has not gone down well with the authorities, who are now considering imposing a ban on smartphones as well. "It is the students who have to be smart, not their phones!", a faculty member was heard saying.

Marty on ET The bits about Leo: ETonline: That said, do you know what your next project will be? Scorsese: It looks like it's time to do The Wolf of Wall Street, with Leo [DiCaprio]. We're aiming to start later this summer. It's such an exciting story. Even though it's set in the early 90s, the attitude is there. The actions are the same. Our values are the same. It's not like we had solid values until 1998 – the issue is that we were founded on certain values, and tried to maintain them. The film has more to do more with human nature and not guiding or inhibiting some people when nature gets away with them. As if to say, "Hold it, this is morally wrong because look at all these people suffering!" It's a riotous story because of the humor and the madness and how these characters just run wild. You have to remember what the real drug is: money. [laughs] Money's good, it's just that thing of what you do once you have it all? ETonline: There's also been talk of you directing a Sinatra biopic -- any truth to that? Scorsese: Oh very much. I'm talking to one or two writers now. The problem is the biography. Where do you start? Hugo took up so much time that I now have to settle in. I met this writer who I think could do a lot with it, but [we] have to get a hold of the story. It's too unwieldy. I'd love to tell the whole story, but the idea of art is to figure out where to start because we can't tell his whole life story. If we told the whole story of Sinatra, it would be 15 hours – then you've got something like a miniseries, along the lines of Boardwalk Empire. ETonline: Is that a possibility? Scorsese: Yes. That's the other thing. I love the idea of a miniseries – particularly working with HBO because as long as you stay reasonably on budget, you have freedom which is very difficult to find in the cinematic marketplace. It's something I find challenging and love trying at. ETonline: A lot of people think DiCaprio would make an excellent Sinatra -- any thoughts on casting? Scorsese: Leo's always talked about doing it, but what if the story takes you in a completely different way? We could go for an unknown. Maybe the person who plays him isn't important. Maybe it's distracting to have a star in that role. Yet, you can't have someone else sing! It's got to be Sinatra's voice. It's tricky. It's filled with problems – and whatever you do, there's always going to be people who don't like it, so you have to find something special. And I think I've found it. Now's the time to execute it on the page.- Esti Ginzburg

Bar Refaeli's Rosy Night Out in London With her magnetizing loveliness drawing in another smitten male admirer, Bar Refaeli was offered a token of affection from a fan while out in London on Saturday night The Israeli supermodel enjoyed an evening out at a few of the English capital city's popular nightspots, first getting things underway at the Arts Club on Dover street. Upon leaving the UK party locale, Miss Refaeli was approached by a gentleman with bright blues show as he presented her with a rose in which he just purchased from a floral salesperson situated outside the Arts Club exit. Not wanting to lead her fan on in any way, Bar politely declined as she and her friends loaded into a van to head over to close out the weekend outing at Embassy Nightclub.- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE And BEN AFFLECK Work With LEONARDO DICAPRIO For “Runner, Runner” JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and BEN AFFLECK will be working with LEONARDO DICAPRIO for “Runner, Runner,” according to the latest Hollywood news. And no, it’s not a chick flick! Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck will be gracing the silver screen together for new thriller “Runner, Runner” with Leonardo DiCaprio as one of the producers. Although the film includes two hotties on screen, it sure is no chick flick and there’s no word yet on whether or not they’re going to be joined by a leading lady. The project, spearheaded by Brad Furman and written by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, shall showcase the “high stakes world of illegal online gambling” and will start filming in Puerto Rico before summer ends. Sadly, the “Titanic” heartthrob won’t be working in front of the cameras with JT and Affleck but it won’t stop us from checking the movie out! Are you excited for “Runner, Runner”? Kate Bosworth energised by festivals [...] Although it is her job, Kate would be a movie buff even if she wasn’t an actress. She loves watching films and is particularly excited about one which will be released soon. “I’d go back to the ‘20s [if I had a time machine]. The fashion and the atmosphere looked so exciting,” she told Company magazine. “I’d love to play a role of someone from that era. I can’t wait for The Great Gatsby with Carey [Mulligan] and Leo [DiCaprio] later this year.” © Cover Media- Bar Refaeli

Martin Scorsese on next film 'Wolf of Wall Street': 'It's about greed' Martin Scorsese has said his next film The Wolf of Wall Street is a cautionary tale about greed. Leonardo DiCaprio reunites with Scorsese for The Wolf of Wall Street to play a drug-addicted stockbroker who finds himself caught in a web of corruption. In an interview with ET Online, Scorsese described his fifth collaboration with DiCaprio as "exciting". "We're aiming to start later this summer. It's such an exciting story," Scorsese explained. "Even though it's set in the early '90s, the attitude is there. The actions are the same. Our values are the same." He added: "It's not like we had solid values until 1998 – the issue is that we were founded on certain values, and tried to maintain them." Scorsese went on to suggest that The Wolf of Wall Street will illustrate the destruction that greed can cause. "The film has more to do with human nature and not guiding or inhibiting some people when nature gets away with them. As if to say, 'Hold it, this is morally wrong because look at all these people suffering'," he explained. "It's a riotous story because of the humour and the madness and how these characters just run wild. "You have to remember what the real drug is: money. Money's good, it's just that thing of what you do once you have it all?" The Wolf of Wall Street is expected to begin shooting in August. Scorsese also recently revealed that he still hopes to make his long-rumoured Frank Sinatra biopic.- Bar Refaeli

A rumour that stupid we missed it, but GossipCop denied it CLAIM: Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Bloodied on Django Set, Blasts Quentin Tarantino According to the National Enquirer, Leonardo DiCaprio was accidentally hit in the mouth by Jamie Foxx on the Django Unchained set, allegedly leading DiCaprio to scream profanities at director Quentin Tarantino about the staging of their fight scene. The tabloid says Foxx busted DiCaprio’s lip while he was wearing vintage handcuffs. “When cameras rolled, Jamie — playing a bounty hunter — swung his hands up violently, hitting Leo’s wrists and slamming the cuffs into his mouth,” reports a “spy” for the Enquirer. According to the tab’s source, “Instantly, Leo started cursing out Quentin. He was furious because they’d had a fight earlier about how the fight scene should be filmed — but Leo lost, so they did it the director’s way.” DiCaprio allegedly screamed, “I’ve done four Martin Scorsese films without a scratch — and then I work with YOU!” This all sounds very intense… or like the Enquirer tapped its fertile imagination and DiCaprio’s IMDB page to fabricate some drama. A source on the set tells Gossip Cop the story is “insane” and never happened.- Bar Refaeli

A Minute With: Martin Scorsese on time running out Time slipping away seems to be on Martin Scorsese's mind. [...] Q: What about your next film, "The Wolf of Wall Street" with DiCaprio again? What will it say about our financial system? A: "It's a reversal in values I think. Everything seems to be twisted and turned around. I thought that this country, in terms of what we were founded on, is the idea of a common good. And I don't see that when you unleash this kind of behavior. People are people, people are human and when you have the ability to do it, you go with it. And when it is unchecked, of course it is going to happen and it is not the first time ... But the problem is the reversal of values, I think, and not feeling the compassion for others and the people you have hurt." Q: It's often noted that you work with the same actors - Keitel, Day-Lewis, De Niro, DiCaprio. Which of those did you learn the most from, or who learned the most from you? A: "With De Niro and I, we struck out. He was really an actor, in a way, he was a working actor when I was introduced to him. And so in the '70s the pictures we made, up until the scenes we did in "Goodfellas" too, because he was only on that shoot maybe 15 days, maybe 12 days. But I think I learned the most from him. "My mother would look at Bob and Harvey Keitel and was like, 'These are my son's friends,' she didn't think of them as major actors. 'These are my other sons.' And so I learned a lot during that period from how one could shape an actor or shape a performance, I should say. And I just applied it over the years to as many people as possible, with very good results, of course with Ellen Burstyn and Kristofferson, Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Newman, Tom Cruise, it goes on like that. And all the actresses, I think there have been 12 to 14 Oscar nominations for the actresses in my movies, and two of them have won, including Cate Blanchett. "And then finding someone like Leo DiCaprio, who really liked my movies before we met, and being able to discover with him, it's another generation, you see. I guess we go so far, but he's got what's inside (pats his chest), and we agree with that. A heart." Q: You've spent nearly 50 years making movies, and Hollywood is tough. How have you not become cynical? Any regrets? A: "No I don't think they are regrets. I think you just have to be realistic as to what the elements of the situation are at this given time. In the '70s it was one way, by the early '80s it became something else, and then it was disappointing, greatly. Somehow by the late '80s I seemed to fall back into a situation where I was able to make more pictures, but during the '80s it was great struggling. And the industry had changed completely. "I was very lucky for example, from 'Gangs of New York' on, to be involved with Leo DiCaprio, as I was with De Niro in the 70s, because with De Niro, with his stature as an actor, we were able to do some very difficult, thematic subject matter. And the same thing with Leo. "But you do have to be aware, and you just have to utilize what is there. If this is gone, don't complain about it. Move on. If something's gone, move on and take advantage of what is there. That could be a 70mm epic or that could be the Internet." ---------- Awwww Full article here: http://in.reuters.com/article/2012/04/11/m...E83A0HO20120411 Thank you so much Pami and Nanda- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
^^ I really hope so!! Titanic 3D rules the waves over a wet Easter weekend James Cameron re-release emerges top at the UK box office ahead of The Hunger Games, Mirror Mirror and The Pirates! A combination of wet weather and the Easter holiday created a box-office bonanza for UK cinemas at the weekend, with the 3D re-release of Titanic emerging top of a highly competitive heap. With an impressive Friday-Sunday total of £2.86m including £97,000 in previews, the James Cameron epic went on to pull in a further £1.03m on bank holiday Monday, yielding a holiday weekend haul of £3.88m. This compares with a debut weekend of £4.81m for Titanic back in January 1998, and an opening weekend of £1.53m (including £228,000 in previews) for recent 3D re-release, Star Wars: Episode I. The Lion King 3D kicked off its run with £2.75m last October, on its way to a gross so far of £12.37m. http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/filmblog/20...-easter-weekend- Bar Refaeli

Turkish producers work on Irish ‘Great Famine’ Turkish producers of a film dramatizing the help offered by Ottoman sultan Abdulmecid to Ireland after the Great Famine of 1845 have given a proposal to Hollywood actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Collin Farrell for the project. The film “Famine” is planned to be made in both the Irish port town of Drogheda and in Turkey, and talks have been held with Irish director Mark Mahon. The film will tell the story of the famine through a love story between Turkish sailor Fatih and Irish local Mary. The screenwriter and project director of “Famine,” Ömer Sarıkaya, said that Mahon had shown real interest in the film’s story. “Mahon said that the project was very interesting and that he was very excited about it. He thought it was more interesting than the story of ‘Titanic.’” He said that he had gone to Ireland to conduct research on the film and talk to Mahon, and had invited him to Turkey. Sarıkaya said that the film was a historical one, but also had themes of love, cheating, jealousy and murder. He also said that Mahon had been in contact with DiCaprio and Farrell for the film and that they had responded positively to the project. “We are thinking of DiCaprio for the character of Fatih and Farrell for the character Patrik. They are positive about the project but only Mahon has been in contact so far.” Sarıkaya said that half of the artists in the film would be Turks and half would be Irish, adding. “We want Kenan İmirzalioğlu to play the role of Sultan Abdulmecid. This film will be a Turkish-Irish production. We want Irish actress Saoirse Ronan to play the role of Mary, the big love interest of sailor Fatih.” The shooting of the film is scheduled to begin in August. The Great Famine was a period of mass starvation, disease and emigration between 1845 and 1852. It is also known as the Irish Potato Famine. http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/turkish-p...p;NewsCatID=381 ------- Could be just a way to promote the movie, but who knows?- I AM the Biggest fan revival
