  1. Michelle Vawer isn't an average model. She is a top model. She has multiple agencies and numerous campaigns.

The average model salary differs greatly. There are many aspects to consider such as the market and type of model. Model's have day rates. Depending on the skill and market of a model, it can vary greatly. I know lifestyle models in London who have $1,000 day rate where as a lifestyle model of the same caliber in New York will have a day rate of $500. So estimating a models salary is tricky. A model from IMG is going to be a top earner. New York is a difficult market as its very competitive.

According to the state of New York, the median model's salary is $60,000. The median salary of a model in the US is around $30,000. Michelle was in Sports Illustrated and does a lot of catalog work. So she definitely earns more than the median model.

Models like Gemma Sanderson and Jamie Gunns(formerly of IMG New York) earn somewhere in the ball park of $30,000 a week just shooting catalog. I would assume Michelle is pulling similar numbers. The only difference is she does a lot less catalog then Jamie.

International commercials (meaning commercials airing in multiple countries) could possible earn a model $100,000 depending upon the product and model.

A magazine cover, if you're lucky, could earn you $500- $1,000. Editorial work doesn't pay as its free publicity.

Runway pays a lot if your known if not maybe $1,000. Some designers pay their models in clothing (which if you sell can be worth more depending on the designer).

A campaign for Calvin Klein or any major fashion brand usually pay in the 6 figure range due to the enormity of the campaign. Its usually seen internationally in print, billboards, and commercials.

Commercial Fashion Models earn much more than their editorial counterparts. That's why some many well known model turn commercial. It pays better unless you can establish yourself as a top editorial model.

My guess is she has the earning potential of $100,000 to $400,000 this year. IMG would not keep a commercial model around if she didn't make them lots of money.
