Ok she is pretty with a nice body but a model?? No sorry.
She's not supposed to be pretty. She is a hf girl. Another hanger lol. She isn't horrible looking especially if you compare here to a lot of her contempories. The problem with this forum is most of the people on here like commercial models. You expect these women to be beautiful and they all can't be. Such a small portion of the worlds women is over 177 cm. of those women how many are a sample size? And you want them to be gorgeous too? You're lucky if ten percent of the world is gorgeous let alone all those other requirement of height, weight, and good hair and skin. It's a lot too ask for. As far as the doutzen pics, of course she looks bad in that one pic its not a professional picture. No one looks perfect at the beach.

As far as models looking masculine, they are supposed to. Models are supposed to be hangers. In high fashion, they dont want pretty or curvy because it distracts from the clothing. Edgy and adrogynous are very popular however since the credit crunch more commercial looking models are in demand. Advertisers are playing it safe but there are remniates of the super edgy adrogynous models still. There will always be room for them but the new wave of models are anyone's guess. Beauty comes in all shapes and forms. Everyone has an opinion of what is attractive. While I agree some models are too thin and others are not cut out to be Victoria secret models, there are models who are branded so well that vs can't turn them down. Ten years ago Candice swanepoel would have never been a vs model because she is too thin and too editorial. Twenty years ago, commercial girls were in SI not the hf girls who were deemed too pretty. Being a top model isnt about beauty its about being lucky. Having the right people behind you and knowing the right people is crucial. Basically it's not what you know it's who you know. Do you think Kate moss would have been as huge if she didnt date Johnny depp or keep in the press due to her bad behavior? Do you think Irina shayk would have gotten the cover of SI without dating ronaldo? Yes, she is pretty and has a good body but it's more about getting your name out there and being surrounded by the right people. You guys can try and convince one another your model is pretty or talented but at the end of the day appeal doesn't matter. What the model books does. Whether I like candice swanepoel not doesn't matter because she is a top model. Are there better models than her absolutely but that's not the way this industry works.
