  4. Paget Brewster (born March 10, 1969 in Concord, Massachusetts) is an American actress. She currently is known for playing Special Agent Emily Prentiss on the CBS crime drama Criminal Minds. It was announced in June 2010 that her role will be reduced in the sixth season. Brewster first came to prominent attention in her recurring role as Kathy, Joey's girlfriend (and later Chandler's) in the fourth season of NBC's Friends. Brewster also had a short-lived Bay Area talk show. She appeared in Andy Richter Controls The Universe and as Beth Huffstodt in the Showtime series Huff, which aired from 2004 to 2006. In film, Brewster played Ms. Indestructible, the female lead in James Gunn's low-budget superhero comedy The Specials (2000), opposite Thomas Haden Church and Rob Lowe. She also played Amy Pierson, a calculus teacher afraid of the water, in the independent film The Big Bad Swim that premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. In 2005, Brewster began voice work as Judy Sebben/Birdgirl, a recurring character on the animated series Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. On the March 30, 2006 episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Brewster revealed that she had recently received a handwritten note indicating Hugh Hefner would like her to pose for Playboy. She seriously considered the offer, but eventually turned it down for career reasons, even though her parents gave her their blessing and she said that she admired Playboy more than magazines such as Maxim and FHM. Hefner reportedly said, "I usually go for blonds, but Paget is one hot brunette!" She has, however, photographed spreads of other models for SuicideGirls. Brewster was previously known as a retro pin-up model in the Los Angeles area, as well as a retro photographer. Brewster has volunteered as an actress with the Young Storytellers Program. She is in a relationship with Steve Damstra, a business partner of her Criminal Minds costar Matthew Gray Gubler. Damstra and Brewster live in Los Angeles, California. /monthly_11_2010/post-42007-0-1446013475-73434_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="2570710" alt="post-42007-0-1446013475-73434_thumb.jpg" data-ratio="126.32"> /monthly_11_2010/post-42007-0-1446013475-80737_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="2570715" alt="post-42007-0-1446013475-80737_thumb.jpg" data-ratio="150"> /monthly_11_2010/post-42007-0-1446013475-93206_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="2570723" alt="post-42007-0-1446013475-93206_thumb.jpg" data-ratio="133.33">

  6. The group came together in 1993 when Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis began recording and writing at a studio on All Saints Road, in London's Ladbroke Grove. The duo hooked up with R&B vocalist Simone Rainford and released a single for ZTT Records in 1995, then parted ways with Rainford and were dumped by the label. Undeterred, Blatt and Lewis recruited native Canadian Nicole Appleton and, later, her big sister Natalie, to make All Saints a quartet. With the help of friend Karl Gordon (formerly part of the British rap ensemble Outlaw Posse), All Saints recorded a demo of the song "I Know Where It's At." New manager John Benson signed the girls to London Records and connected them with top-flight producers Nellee Hooper (Massive Attack, Björk) and Cameron McVey (Neneh Cherry). Fully recorded, "I Know Where It's At" hit number four on the British charts and crossed over throughout Europe and Asia. /monthly_11_2010/post-42007-0-1446073548-80982_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="3484238" alt="post-42007-0-1446073548-80982_thumb.jpg" data-ratio="125.16"> /monthly_11_2010/post-42007-0-1446073548-88712_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="3484250" alt="post-42007-0-1446073548-88712_thumb.jpg" data-ratio="124.53"> /monthly_11_2010/post-42007-0-1446073548-95097_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="3484256" alt="post-42007-0-1446073548-95097_thumb.jpg" data-ratio="126.1">
  7. Born November 30, 1965 - As the scion of the Jerry Stiller-Anne Meara comic dynasty, Ben Stiller's decision to establish himself as a comic writer and actor seemed altogether preordained. Born in New York City on November 30, 1965, Stiller began to shoot his own comic films from the age of ten -- cathartic 8 mm epics that found the young man exacting hilarious revenge on the school-yard bullies who tormented him. After high-school graduation, Stiller attended UCLA and landed bit parts in several features, notably the Steven Spielberg-directed, Tom Stoppard and Menno Meyjes-scripted, late 1987 opus Empire of the Sun, David Anspaugh's Fresh Horses (1988), and the John Erman-directed Bette Midler vehicle Stella (1989). /monthly_11_2010/post-42007-0-1446079091-4293_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="3613747" alt="post-42007-0-1446079091-4293_thumb.jpg" data-ratio="133.51"> /monthly_11_2010/post-42007-0-1446079091-54079_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="3613752" alt="post-42007-0-1446079091-54079_thumb.jpg" data-ratio="122.7">

  9. Lââm (born 1 September 1971 in Paris) is a French female singer of Tunisian descent. She has sold more than 500,000 albums and more than 2 million singles. Lââm, (whose real name is "Lamia") lived a difficult childhood stemming from family problems at home. At a very young age, she developed a passion for music. Within a day, a producer commented on her singing and loved the way she interpreted songs; thus Lââm's career finally began. She released her first single "Chanter pour ceux qui sont loin de chez eux", a reprise of Michel Berger's legendary song. The French public immediately loved the new version of the song and 960,000 copies of the song were sold gold disc certification). The song ranked second on the Top 50 for nine weeks straight. From that success, Lââm released her first album Persévérance which contained additional reprises of Michel Berger's songs, as well as singles like "Jamais loin de toi", "Assez", "Les enfants de l'an 2000" or the encore "Face à Face". Some of these singles were modified and quickly became hits. In 2001, she released her second album Une vie ne suffit pas and quickly reached gold certification with more than 100,000 copies being sold. The album spawned two hit singles: "Que l'amour nous garde" and "De ton indifférence". In 2002, Lââm performed a huge concert/tour at Paris Olympia. During that time, Lââm also performed in the musical comedy Cindy. The musical comedy was not considered terribly successful despite the official single leading the album to reach gold status in record sales with more than 100,000 copies sold. The single, interpreted by Lââm and Frank Sherbourne, also placed fifth on the Top 50. In 2004, Lââm released an album showcasing a broader sampling of musical genres than previous work. In its production, a variety of sounds were used including rock, contemporary R&B and rap music, as well as several duets with (Jean-Jacques Goldman, Lisa Stansfield, Princess Aniès...). The album contained two singles written and composed by Jean-Jacques Goldman: "Tu es d'un chemin" and "On pardonne". Both Goldman songs aired on radio but were short lived. Promotion was not up to par and thus no more than 25,000 copies were sold. Lââm also began another French tour which included dates in Pairs au Zèbre de Belleville. In August 2005, the single, "Petite Sœur" was released. It was infused with an R&B rhythm and the song went to fifth on the charts with more than 250,000 copies sold. Lââm was returning to her previous level of popularity and was invited to a great number of shows to perform the single. In September of that same year, her album was republished under the name Pour être libre; it included three new songs: "Petite Sœur", "Pour être libre" and "Elle est toujours là". Within a year, the album was ranked high in the French charts and was certified gold having sold more than 75,000 copies. In 2006, she received many nominations at the NRJ Music Awards as the French-speaking artist of the year and at the Victoires de la musique as female artist of the year against such artists as Keren Ann, Zazie and Juliette. Despite ultimately not winning, the nominations showed Lââm had not been forgotten and that the public loved her songs. She later organized a huge tour in the summer which passed through a number of cities in France (like Perpignan and Amiens) and Belgium. Lââm released a new album at the end of 2006. The CD preceded the single "Le sang chaud", which is a duet with the singer Princesse Aniès. The single sold more than 50,000 copies, and ranked seventh on the Top 50. Despite the single's success, the album Le Sang chaud fared much lower on the charts with no more more than 15,000 copies sold. Despite Lââm's disappointment in the album's success, she was chosen "Voice of the Year" by the public of FilleTV channel. The award is the first in Lââm's career. In March 2007, she released the single "Rien ne dure", which aired on radio. The CD is yet to be released. In May 2007, Lââm released a follow-up single, "Relève-toi". It is available on legal downloads. Lââm is a participant in the album High School Musical 2, with her interpretation of the song "Savoir qui je suis" (Gotta go my own way).

  18. On January 6th, 1993, Alison Sweeney joined the cast of the Emmy Award-winning, NBC-TV series Days of Our Lives as Sami Brady — the scheming, sassy, clever, and sometimes dangerous daughter of Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). In the U.S., Days of Our Lives is viewed by more than 5.9 million people per week and consistently ranks among the top three daytime dramas in the most important demographic to television advertisers — Women 18-49. Throughout her nine years on the series, Sweeney has taken Sami Brady from a rebellious teen to a devoted young mother. In the process, Sweeney has won The Soap Opera Digest Award four times (1996, ’98, ’99 and 2001) and has graced more than fifty magazine covers. Soap Opera Digest currently hails the actress as One of the Most Beautiful Women in Daytime Television [2001]. Soap Opera Weekly named Sweeney Breakout Performer of the Year in 1999 and praised her portrayal of Sami as the stuff of which Emmy nominations are made. She also grabbed the “America’s Favorite Villain” award on the recent 29th Daytime Emmy Awards. “Young Sweeney holds her own with the best of them on Days of Our Lives, including powerhouse Deidre Hall,” says Soap Opera Digest. In addition to her role on Days of Our Lives, Sweeney has done double-duty, guest-starring on an episode of Friends. Opposite Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston, Sweeney portrayed an award-winning, diva actress and was able to reveal her comedic side. She also appeared on NBC’s Rosie O’Donnell Show, Weakest Link and Fear Factor. Born in Los Angeles, California on September 19th 1976, Sweeney has an older and younger brother; however, she is the only daughter of their concert and studio violinist mother and their business investor father. Growing-up in a musical household, Sweeney tried following in her mother’s footsteps with the violin. It wasn’t long before she realized her true calling — acting. At the age of four, Sweeney began appearing in television commercials for products such as Kodak Film. At six, she appeared on Days of Our Lives for the first time in the role of Adrienne for two days of flashback sequences. Starring roles on Simon & Simon, Webster, St. Elsewhere, Family Man, Brand New Life, I Married Dora and Tales from the Darkside followed shortly thereafter. In Dyan Cannon’s feature film The End of Innocence, Sweeney played the role of Stephanie (Cannon’s character as a preteen), and she also starred as Alice in the film The Price of Life. Away from the television and film studios, Sweeney leads an active and health-conscious lifestyle. Her passions are swing dancing and riding her horse Apparition (nick-named Ghost). She also attends Boot Camp several times a week to stay in great shape. An extensive traveler, Sweeney has developed an appreciation for various cultures and speaks semi-fluent Spanish. When she has the opportunity to travel, her ideal destinations are Italy, France, and anywhere she can find a ski slope. Sweeney married her childhood sweetheart, Dave, who is a California Highway Patrol Officer. In 2004 Alison Sweeney released her book “All The Days Of My Life (so far) on Kensington Books. In the book Ali talks about growing up as an actress, living in LA, going to school, having issues with making friends & dating, playing Sami on days of our lives, finding love, getting married, her fans, and the rest of the things that she has been through in her life (so far!).
