Flora Cross (born January 11, 1993) is a French-American actress Cross was born in Paris, France. Her father, Joseph Cross, is a journalist. Flora is Jewish. She has traveled extensively with her family, most recently to Argentina where she lived for two years. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, United States. Her two brothers are also actors (Eli Marienthal and Harley Cross). Cross attended French schools since childhood (Lycée français de New York), and speaks French, Spanish and English fluently. For high school, she switched to the American school system, and attends a private school on Los Angeles' Westside. Cross played the lead role of Eliza in the 2005 film Bee Season, opposite Richard Gere, Juliette Binoche and Max Minghella. She auditioned for the part shortly before moving to Argentina, where she was living when offered the role. "My manager sent the tape in, and then I was called in for an audition that was very long and very tiring," recalls the actor. "It went on for five hours. Two weeks later I was told I got the part. Her next role was playing the eccentric daughter of Jennifer Jason Leigh's character in director Noah Baumbach's Margot at the Wedding. She worked alongside actors such as Nicole Kidman, Jack Black, John Turturro, and fellow teen actor Zane Pais. Cross plays the co-starring role of Cynthia in the film "Chlorine", written and directed by Jay Alaimo. The film also stars Kyra Sedgwick and Vincent D'Onofrio as Cynthia's troubled parents, and Ryan Donowho as her eccentric brother.

Carrere later participated in the fifth season of The Celebrity Apprentice and was axed in the fifth week of the show. Carrere posed nude for the January 2003 issue of Playboy magazine. It was the top-selling Playboy of 2003.[citation needed] The photos were republished in the German December 2006 issue of the magazine. Recently, she has appeared as a guest star on a number of television shows, including Back to You, Nip/Tuck, and Warehouse 13. She has also appeared in several episodes of season 6 of Curb Your Enthusiasm as Richard Lewis's girlfriend. Carrere married film producer Elie Samaha in 1992. In 1999, she was accused of having an affair with then Toronto Maple Leaf Tie Domi who was also married. Samaha and Carrere divorced in February 2000. On November 30, 2002, she married again, this time to photojournalist Simon Wakelin. They have a daughter, Bianca, born September 25, 2005. On April 2, 2010, Carrere filed for divorce in person at Los Angeles Superior Court. According to court documents she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce and asked for sole physical custody of their daughter Bianca. Their divorce was finalized in August 2010, with the two of them reportedly sharing custody of Bianca. At present, she lives in Los Angeles.
