Real Madrid's Injured Star Kaka: I'm Dying To Play Again Kaka is motivated to return as soon as possible.... A month after Real Madrid's Brazilian ace Kaka went under the knife, the playmaker has spoken of his desire to get back out on the pitch in a Los Blancos shirt. Kaka has been working hard with his physio and has revealed his knee is feeling better. "I can't wait to play again, it is very difficult just to watch games," Kaka told Marca. However the 28-year-old has been warned to be cautious and motivate himself for each and every session with his doctors. He is currently undergoing a four-day week. "I talked to the doctors and asked them how long it will be before I can play again. They said it depends very much on the evolution and myself. I am doing everything in my power to play again and do well," said the determined samba star.

Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho: I Would Risk Home Record To Ensure Victory Over Osasuna Real Madrid coach insists points and not records are his concern, as he defends his eight-year unbeaten home league run as a manager. Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho insists that his teams take risks in order to win games and that his eight-year unbeaten home record as a coach will hold no bearing over how he sets up his side. Mourinho last suffered a league defeat at home in February 2002, and has gone through spells since then with Porto, Chelsea and Inter without losing a league match in front of his own supporters. Speaking in a press conference today, the Portuguese stated that maintaining his incredible run is not a concern, and if his team are not winning late in the game, he will risk everything in order to gain the three points. He remarked: “I do not do anything to keep this record. In many games, my teams have been tied and I have had to take risks to win. In a championship, it is better to win five and lose one rather than draw five. I do not want records, I want points. “If tomorrow we are drawing 0-0 with a few minutes to go, I will ask my team to take risks to win.” Mourinho also had time to praise Osasuna head coach Jose Antonio Camacho, with whom he shared a rivalry when he was in charge of Porto and Camacho was in the Benfica dugout. He said of the former los Blancos boss: “I admire him because he is not a hypocrite, he speaks his mind, which is rare in the world of football. I have not done anything for Madrid, but Camacho has won leagues and cups here.”- Guti

Mourinho: "Cristiano Ronaldo will be a starter because the match will be difficult" Jose Mourinho addressed the media the day before making his league debut at the Bernabeu. "It will be a difficult match, but I am accustomed to playing before audiences who want their team to play well. It also happened at San Siro and Stamford Bridge. These are great clubs, accustomed to success, so it isn't a problem." "Right now, we are focusing on taking risks to win. Our goal is to win every game. It is more important to win three games and lose two than to draw five. I don't want to achieve records; I want points. If we have only managed to draw the score tomorrow with ten minutes left in the game, I will take a risk to win come what may. Records are nice, but points are nicer." "Cristiano Ronaldo will be a starter. I am afraid of the possibility he may get injured again. I am afraid someone may hit him, but that's normal in football. He has been training at least five hours a day at Valdebebas. The Medical Staff and the player say he's 100% fit to play, so he has the same risk of getting injured as the rest of his team-mates. He will play because he is fit and because it will be a difficult game." "I know what team I will use tomorrow. I think seriously about it to come up with the best option. Players have to think about each game at a time, but the coach has to be capable of looking ahead. Our most important match right now is the one against Osasuna. I won't give you my full lineup because I would like to leave two or three positions unknown to give the opponent coach something to think about. I will only announce my starting eleven when my rival announces his. Ramos, Pepe Carvalho and Marcelo will surely play in defence. Khedira and Xabi Alonso will take on midfield duties. Cristiano will play with Higuain. I cannot confirm if Canales will be a starter." "I like Benzema's work with France. His goal was important to his team. He was tired and slightly niggled when he returned, but he's worked well. Every player on this squad is important because we have games every two or three days. I haven't been very lucky with our schedule, which complicates things. Benzema and Higuain are important to us. They have to do whatever's necessary to meet our demands. Benzema did well in en Bosnia, but it is more important to me for a player to work well than to play well. Talented players have to work hard because talent is implicit. Benzema's mentality has changed and he is currently working with personal ambition." "Regarding the team get-together, I must say I think each of my decisions through very carefully. If those who work under me like them, fine; if they don't, that's fine as well." "I wish to thank Camacho for his kind words. We trained together in Portugal and we've never had a problem between us. We've always had great respect for each other. I admire him. Very few people in football aren't hypocrites. Camacho is true, honest and isn't afraid to speak his mind. I hope the Bernabeu greets him as he deserves. I haven't done anything for Real Madrid, but he has. He has Real Madrid in his blood. He won league titles at the Club and I hope the fans never forget this. I also hope he loses as a Madridista tomorrow." "I want Portugal to win regardless of the coach. Portuguese players have won Ballon d'Ors in the past, but the country's football is going through a difficult situation. I don't like to see Portugal lose or draw games. I hope things change. They have good enough players to turn the situation around. I would like Aragones to be the new national coach because he is very experienced, but my conviction is that national teams should be coached by men from the country itself. Having said that, whoever ends up coaching Portugal will have my support. It would be even better if I could help by working with Portuguese players for the national team."- Guti
Guti talks to Marca… … to make sure people in Madrid have not forgotten him! Q: How is your Turkish? A: Non-existent. It’s very complicated. I’ve learned a couple of words to be able to understand my teammates on the field, but most everything has to be in English, the dominant language among the team because there are a lot of foreign players. Q: Raúl has admitted that he’s feeling strange. Is the same thing happening to you? A: Yes, I’m also feeling strange. I feel like a youth player that has been called up to the first team. But it’s just a matter of adapting as quickly as possible. Q: Have you seen Raúl in the jersey of Schalke 04? A: (Laughs). Yes, the other day I saw a picture of him on the Internet and it had a profound impact on me. But life continues, there are new stages, and that of Real Madrid has ended for Raúl and for me. Q: I’m sure you talked with him. What have you told each other? A: We’ve given each other a lot of moral support. It was hard for both of us to leave Madrid after so much time and when it appeared that we would both end our careers there. The truth is, I’m happy for him, because it appears that things are going well and I hope the same goes for me in Turkey. We’ve both chosen the same road: leaving Madrid to be able to continue enjoying football. Q: You know that Raúl became emotional when he saw you say good-bye, right? A: Yes, right after the act, he called me and told me that he had become emotional. The truth is that those are feelings built up during many years and it’s difficult to suppress them. A club like Real Madrid has a big impact on you and more for us, because we were there for so long. Q: Have you said good-bye to Madrid forever? A: No, it’s a ‘see you later.’ I would like to return to Real Madrid… I wouldn’t want to be president, but perhaps sporting director. Or something related to the youth teams to be able to help the younger players. Q: They say that Canales is the new Guti. A: I’ve seen him and the truth is that he’s very similar to me, both in his physical appearance as well as his playing style. I hope he triumphs in Madrid because he’s a kid with the conditions and the desire to triumph. He’s young and has very clear ideas. They’ve done right by bringing him over this season, because the sooner he begins to play with the team, the better. Q: Xabi Alonso has taken over your 14. A: I’ve seen that, but that’s nothing strange because that was his number at Liverpool. I told him at the end of last season: “I’m leaving you the 14, take good care of it for me.” [i don't know why, but that phrase makes me sad.] He has a lot of responsibility, but he’s a worthy successor. Champion of Europe, champion of the world, what more could you want?- Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho must be given time Former star backs coach for success... Real Madrid legend Emilio Butragueno has urged the club and its followers to have patience with coach Jose Mourinho, and allow him and the players time to adapt to one another. The Spanish giants are desperate for success this season after looking on as Barcelona clinched back-to-back Primera Division titles, and Mourinho has been given the daunting task of derailing Pep Guardiola's side. However, AS reports that Butragueno, who spent 11 years at the Santiago Bernabeu from 1984 to 1995, believes that results will not come instantly and that the work of the Portuguese coach must be measured much later in the campaign. He commented: “The coach has not had the desired continuity in training, because of the timetable and injuries, so it is premature to draw conclusions with the season just starting. “We must be patient and calm with Mourinho and give it time. They have brought several new players into the team and he needs to know how to adapt them to improve team performance.- Jose Mourinho
quote of the day – José Mourinho Some players aren’t hot blooded or cold blooded; they just have water in their veins. If I could choose, on my team I want at least three with hot blood, three with blood at normal temperatures and the rest with cold blood. I don’t want any with water. José Mourinho, during an interview with AS. He goes on to say that Cristiano is hot blooded during games, and that Benzema has very cold blood, and that he (Mou) has to warm it up.- Jose Mourinho
Barcelona & Spain Star Andres Iniesta Dismisses Ballon d'Or Comments Of Real Madrid Coach Jose Mourinho Spain's World Cup hero Andres Iniesta has responded to Jose Mourinho's Ballon d'Or comments, saying it's not his call. Spain and Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has responded to comments from Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho regarding his candidacy for the inaugural FIFA Ballon d'Or by declaring it's not up to the Portuguese trainer. Mourinho had previously declared that he would give the newly almgamated gong to Inter and Netherlands playmaker Wesley Sneijder, stating that Iniesta wasn't a stand-out player over the course of the season despite having an excellent World Cup finals in South Africa. Now Spain's World Cup final goal hero has had his say and he insists the Special One's opinion doesn't matter. "It is clear that this is one more opinion, the only thing is that if he [Mourinho] were giving the prize, I know that I would not win. But anyway, that is not the case," he told a press conference.- Kaká
Inter Arrange Real Madrid Talks For Kaka - Report Inter will continue to pursue Kaka, according to reports, despite opposition from Massimo Moratti. Inter are treating the idea of signing Kaka with increased leverage, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, despite president Massimo Moratti giving reports short shrift on Wednesday. Moratti said: "Kaka to Inter is a nice idea, but not ours," as he kept the speculation at arm's length. However, it hasn't stopped Corriere from publishing a new report which claims the Nerazzurri have a meeting with Real Madrid chiefs on November 3 to give the transfer primacy. Ideas are expected to be exchanged and Inter's proviso will be an initial loan deal with the option to buy the Brazilian permanently - a similar move to Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer. Inter will then offer Real Madrid around €24 million for the permanent transfer - far from the €65m Madrid paid Milan last year. However, the Italians face competition from Carlo Ancelotti who is keen on having Kaka at his disposal for Chelsea. Follow Goal.com on . Get the latest football news direct... Hoffenheim vs Schalke Preview Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will be hoping he can stop the rot for Schalke when he makes his debut tomorrow night. The Holland striker joined the Royal Blues for a fee of 13 million euros on transfer deadline day and he will go straight into the attack, partnering his former Real Madrid team mate Raul, in Hoffenheim tomorrow. His task is to help Schalke pick up their first points of the season after two straight defeats. "In the Bundesliga, we have got to climb the table step by step," he told the club's website. "Schalke are a club who have always been competing at the top in recent years and that should be the case this year too." However, Hoffenheim are currently leading the way with two wins from their first two games of the season and Ralf Rangnick's side are not going to make it easy for Schalke to get even one point on the board this weekend. "If we manage to latch onto our performances so far and improve a bit on them, then we can beat Schalke," said Rangnick, who coached Schalke for just over a year in 2004/5. "It will be a tough task, but we are looking forward to it." Demba Ba will be leading the Hoffenheim attack and he is looking forward to facing his idol Raul. "Raul is inspirational with the number of goals he has scored in his career and how he moves in the area," he said on his club's website. "But he is only my idol until eight o'clock tomorrow night." Schalke coach Felix Magath has to decide whether to play with just two strikers with Raul and Huntelaar or whether Jefferson Farfan will join them in a three-pronged attack. The Peruvian striker has just returned from international duty in South America, but Magath says any potential tiredness brought on by jetlag will not influence his decision. "Jeff is an experienced international player who can cope with this strain," he said. Full-back Atsuto Uchida has had an equally long journey back from Japan, but tiredness is not the reason for his likely exclusion. "It looks like he has broken his toe," said Magath. "I don't think he will be able to play."- Jose Mourinho
Eight years undefeated at home Jose Mourinho hasn't lost in 136 consecutive league home games Realmadrid.com / Translation by Michael J. O'Donnell Jose Mourinho is a sure bet during home games. The Portuguese coach hasn't lost a league clash at home in eight years. Mourinho will coach his first league encounter at the Bernabeu on Saturday against Osasuna (20:00 CET). The 'Special One' last lost a home game back on 23 February 2002, when Porto were defeated 3-2 by Beira Mar. Of the 136 games he has stood undefeated as a host, 111 were victories and 25 were draws. His teams have scored 295 goals and conceded only 84 in said fixtures. Mourinho won all of Porto's 17 home games in the 2003/04 season. During that campaign and the following one, in which he coached Chelsea, his teams only conceded six strikes as hosts. In Italy, as Inter Milan's coach, Mourinho conceded no goals in seven straight home matches.- Kaká

Ronaldo sets Ajax return date Real Madrid's injured star Cristiano Ronaldo could return for their UEFA Champions League clash against Ajax next Wednesday. The former World Player of the Year suffered an ankle injury in Real's Primera Division opening round goalless draw against Real Mallorca. The injury forced the Portuguese to miss Portugal's disastrous Euro 2012 qualifying matches against Cyprus and Norway where they drew 4-4 and lost 1-0 respectively. But Ronaldo has targeted his club side's clash with Ajax as a possible return date. "I feel better and we'll see how it (the injury) develops," he told reporters. "I'm still not perfect but almost at one hundred per cent. I'll return as soon as possible, maybe in two days I can rejoin the squad." "I believe I can be ready for the match against Ajax." Real have been drawn in UEFA Champions League Group G alongside AC Milan, Auxerre and Ajax.- Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo: Real will have great season! Cristiano Ronaldo is undaunted by the high expectations at Real Madrid and believes that silverware is close at hand. With expectations at the Santiago Bernebeu higher with every passing season, this season could be crucial for Real after the arrival of super-coach Jose Mourinho, and Ronaldo is also of the opinion that this will be Real's year. Speaking to his club's official website, the Portuguese said: "The goal is always the same: to win. "We have a very good team and I am sure that if we work hard and have a little luck then we will win a title or two this year." Ronaldo had been criticised on being too selfish in his play last season, but promised to make amends by the quality of his team play. "I will try to score as many goals as possible this year, but I will also provide assists and help in any way I can", he added. "Sometimes goals aren't what count. "I am always motivated and I want to win every game I play. "I always have the same goal: to play well, help the team and win. I want to continue improving. I am a champion." The former Manchester United star also gave an insight towards the winning mentality that Mourinho had brought to the club. "I enjoy the pace of training sessions. "I love the coach's methods and I am sure that he will give us a good chance of winning. "He is one of the best managers in the world and we will do everything in our power to win. "Mourinho is a winner. I am very happy to work for him. I am sure we will win a title this year." Loading comments... Problems loading Disqus?- Cristiano Ronaldo

Besiktas Midfielder Guti Insists He & Raul Deserved Better Real Madrid Send Off Former Real Madrid star Guti believes he and team-mate Raul deserved better send off leaving the club but insisted he didn't want to stay. Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti has declared that he expected a greater send off from the Spanish giants after completing his summer switch to Turkish outfit Besiktas. The 33-year-old veteran, who spent 15 years in los Merengues first team, said he had no contact with incoming coach Jose Mourinho prior to leaving the Santiago Bernabeu, but was disappointed that he and former team-mate Raul, now at Schalke, did not get the departure they deserved. "You always want your departure to be special because I spent a long time here, but after not having it announced until the end of the season, the way it happened was normal. Is it true that both Raul and I needed something more. After all the time we spent here, our departures happened very fast," he told Onda Madrid radio before declaring he had no intention of staying at Madrid beyond the summer. "I had taken a decision a long time ago and I showed that I am clear in my ideas. I did not talk about anything with Mourinho at any time. There was no contact, because since the day I announced it, the club knew that I wanted to go. It would be ridiculous to waste time with a team that I did not want to be in."- Irina Shayk
