    Los 100 'popes' de la moda0La revista Time selecciona los nombres más influyentes de la historia de la moda

    La revista Time ha elaborado la lista de las 100 personalidades más influyentes de la historia de la moda. Diseñadores, modelos, fotógrafos, periodistas, musas y estilistas que resumen en 100 imágenes los prinicpales iconos del siglo XX y XXI.

    Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Madonna, Bruce Weber, Alexander McQueen o Linda Evangelista aportaron, cada uno a su manera, ingredientes esenciales sin los que la moda hoy no sería como la entendemos. También están el creador del bikini o la directora de Vogue USA, Anna Wintour.

    Pero hay una serie de curiosidades que han captado nuestra atención. Entre los seleccionados, hay un nombre español: Cristóbal Balenciaga. El maestro, nacido en Guetaria en 1985, fue uno de los creadores más influyentes del siglo XX gracias a su nueva silueta (que ampliaba los hombros y suavizaba la cintura).

    En la lista hay un matrimonio (David Bowie e Iman, que aparecen por separado), no hay ni un solo modelo masculino y están presentes muchos de los fundadores de algunas de las firmas más importantes del panorama (desde Christian Dior o Jeanne Lanvin a Renée Lacoste, Jacques Cartier, Hubert de Givenchy o Thierry Hermès). Fuera del mundo de la moda (pero ligados a ella) llegan nombres que marcaron época como Michael Jackson o Andy Warhol.

    Repasamos aquí la lista de las 100 personas más influyentes de la historia de la moda.

    I think that neither Linda nor any of the 90's supermodels have to justify their caches: they did make a lot of money to contracting merchants! I guess the famous phrase ("I don´t get out of bed for less than...") was taken out of context, and sure she said it in jest. They were entrepreneurs women struggling to find its niche in the fashion industry, they don´t need to try to justify their salaries, they won them in spades, in my opinion. No one questions, for example, how much money seeks to win Mr. Pinault every time that he gets off the bed.
