  1. We are not lucky this time. Asked both photographers I know. Neither of them know her name. And they're not your run-of-the-mill lensmen. Both are OGs in runway photography during the 80s. I mean, they know all the girls (except this one, unfortunately). One of them retired a long time ago and one still works at present and Getty sells his images. Retiree says maybe she was a cabine at the House of Chanel. She seems to be of Indian or Hispanic/Latin descent, like Marielou Phillips or Natalia Sabe. So I guess we will have to wait till someone IDs her.
  2. Hello. Will try to ask. Been wanting to find out her name, too.
  3. I found both ladies in FB. The right spelling is actually Tomasini, according to Alina's profile. I copy pasted her name from my runway photographer friend.
  4. Yes, thats Ginevra.
  5. Hi. I believe none of these are Ginevra. She did mostly Renato Balestra. Probably Lorenza Riva, Mila Schon I can see the similiarities but I believe none of these are Ginevra. To familiarize you with her face, I have attached a few photos of hers from my old files.
  6. Dug around my old files and found this.
  7. Both Ginevra & Alina are Italian. That's all I info I could gather from my photographer friend.
  8. She is Alina Tommassini.
  9. Her name is Alina Tommassini
  10. I saw a post asking for the ID of this model. Her name is Ginevra Ferrettini.
  11. For the longest time I have been wanting to know her name myself! ❤️
  12. A model friend told me her name is Nina Hersen from Germany. She was a muse and ambassadress of The House of Louis Feraud for 3 years.
  13. Thank you for the tag 💖
  14. Her face is truly unique. Glad to have finally solved the mystery. Been wanting to know her ID. I love her!
  15. Hello, model sleuths! We finally have some confirmation. At first, I asked a few model friends on Facebook who had walked in the same show with her if they remembered her. Everyone recalled her face, but no one could remember her name. They all mentioned that she wasn’t really active in the industry and that they never saw her again in the following seasons. I didn’t want to keep pressing the first photographer I mentioned earlier—who told me her name was Alessandra Gatto—as I didn’t want to seem like I was questioning his credibility. I mean, he was a veteran lensman and he's captured all the shows and knows practically all the models. With no additional information turning up, I decided to dig deeper. I even searched through my model friends’ lists looking for her, but had no luck. Eventually, I did a reverse image search and found the photographer who took these photos. Coincidentally, I already follow him on Instagram, so I sent him the images hoping he might remember and respond. His runway work is featured on Getty Images. At last—confirmation. Her name is indeed Alessandra Gatto. He mentioned that she only did a handful of shows, including some for Yves Saint Laurent, Emanuel Ungaro, and possibly Louis Féraud.
  16. So I sent my photog friend more pics and asked "if those photos were indeed Alessandra" (just to wheedle out more info) and this was his reply: 😂😂😂 yes 😂I will send them to her because she thinks to be unknown ( which I assume meant she thinks she's practically unknown as she didn't work that much. Or that she didn't think anyone would remember.) Will update if there's anything.
  17. This was his reply: "Yes she's the One. It's ok I sent it to her (meaning the photos). She was very talented but she was not in the business. I lost my hardisk. I asked her some pics. Intanto cerca nelle sfilate Ungaro (which translates to; Meanwhile, look at the Ungaro Fashion shows). So. let's wait for updates before making a thread.
  18. She is Valerie Davis. She is a different model in the Carven ad. I have attached a couple of photo of her beside Karl Lagerfeld alongside Marpessa, Anne Bezamat , Kirat & Suzanne Benzi. for his Chloe 1984. FW collection (Pinterest).
  19. Thank you!!! ❤︎
  20. Here are some models from the early 90s-2000s that I would love to get identified. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! PS: I think model #1 & #5 are the same woman Model #2 & #6 are the same. Someone from my circle ID'd her as Nina. For model #4, I asked a runaway photographer, an FB friend who knew 90% of the girls that time and he told me her name is Alessandra Gatto. He told me that she wasn't really in the business that is probably why we seldom see her on the runways. I asked a model friend who was modeling that time and she echoed the same. She said she remembered her but she couldn't recall the name. Only that she didn't really do the runway stuff that often as my friend did. My friend said that this model came into the scene towards the end of her career so they didn't really get acquainted and also that this model didn't do all the shows. Googling didn't help. I wanted to find out if there is anyone here who could confirm. Been dying to know here name.
  21. This is another photo I found of the same model from the same show of Yves Sair cpt Laurent Haute Couture Fall-Winter 1983-84. I also attached a photo of Angela Wilde for Thierry Mugler FW 1986 for comparison. Source: Pinterest.com
  22. The forehead of the model in question is wider than Lorelie's, i think? Angela Wilde did an ad for Yves Saint Laurent's perfume ad in 1983, photographed by David Seidner. Source: icp.org/davidseidnerarchive
