I'm currently at Hong Kong and I'm pretty sure that one of those huge ads they have on one of the shopping malls here is Mathias (unless I'm just merely hallucinating because I'm nearly going nuts looking for signs of Mathias - Yes, I'm totally sane and not obsessed ). I nearly started squealing when we passed it on the taxi. My sister and friend both wanted to know why I was so high, but of course I'm not going to tell them .

I am a little envious as I don't see Mathias at all here. There's even a Gucci outlet store about an hour from me at a shopping area I like to go to. You would think that there would be Mathias there, even if it was last season's Mathias, but no Mathias at all to be seen there either.

I think you and me are not the only ones who never cared about models - but along came Mathias and caught us with his beauty and his natural charm.

Actually I never noticed models either before Mathias.

From my perspective, you could go so far as to say that they didn't even exist for me until he came along.

Yea, I have to agree with that. Munichmarty is the leader here even if it is only unofficial. The only thing that would surpass that is if Mathias started posted here but all the fangirling that would his presence might create would probably scare the poor guy. ^^;;

If it is the Gucci Pour Homme II advert you're talking about, I don't think that is his actually eye color. When I look at those versus pretty much everything else, they don't come close to matching and more so when looked at in comparison to runway pictures where you are able to get a good look at his eyes.

I think what she's saying is that for people who hit #1 and hold onto it for a significant amount of time, they are on a completely different level than other models.

That's part of why I like that editorial so much.... He shows so many different faces yet still looks like himself.

Betty with Models.com says in a post that they are coming out with Male Icons (working male icons) and Top Money guys and Mathias will most likely be on one of those lists. (Mathias better be #1 on the Male Icon rankings).

I bolded part of that for emphasis as "most likely" doesn't mean for certain that he is or isn't on one of those other lists she's referring to.

Hartigan - That is precisely what they did. Mathias was still at #1 a few days ago but isn't anywhere in the top 50 at all now.

atombanger18 - I'm not worried about it. Models.com = one site, and a site that neither defines nor rules my life in any sense so yea. I feel bad for the fans of Sean though. If Mathias lost the #1 spot, I would of expected him to move into it. Anyway....

I think someone at models.com just got bent out of shape that Mathias was dominating the top spot for so long and decided to replace him with it's own favorite, but a "No. 1" model that nobody heard of before = fail.
