we played football in my summer classes...it was fun.. we played yesterday and today..yesterday we lost by one goal..today we lost by one goal...i remind myself of ribiery lmao..just getting mad at everyone and attacking..not even looking at the person just the ball lol..wow we have many cristiano ronaldo's in my class..this one little scum my god i hate him lol well not hate but yeahhhhhh cheats, dives, kicks ppl instead of the ball..and he kicked the ball in my face..whatta fucking bastard...i was ready to rip off his face..and when i kick the ball away from his..he complains and says its a foul..de ja vu wow this is a mini cristiano, no? my god well anywayssssss im happy...football really does wonders.

my grandparents have been trying to coax me onto a plane to France today, yeah right... like I can't find enough crazy frenchies in any city.the italians will be a lot more bummed about losing than the french, I think, but both sides will be completely nuts if they win.

I saw my mom yesterday before I left (she's French), and we talked about it... she doesn't feel like things have changed much, but she's hoping that with Zizou retiring, maybe he can become a statesman for racial harmony, like Louis Armstrong was. I'm down with that idea. you know, as long as they win... then the whities over there will be receptive.

I hope you're right about the racism thing, I haven't really seen a big change. most of the EU countries still hate people from their colonies... and the French still have it in for the Arabs that have been filling in parts of the country, esp Paris. but hopefully it will turn out to be a Jackie Robinson thing, where racists will root for the guy and start to change their minds...

france has come a long way..football really shaped france in a way..france was known to be one of the most racist countries in europe..but ever since zidane has won the game in 98..there has been so much more tolerance of minorities..he is algerian and not of caucasian descent but no one gave a shit..he was scoring goals and france was winning and its really good to see..that this sport is bringing people together...beyond what the gov't and the politicians can ever achieve..quite remarkable
and i really really really hope france wins on sunday.
