Heidi Klum
For those that want to know what this page says, here's my translation: ..."[sexy] Time" is important to the two of them. A typical entry to such an evening is a candle-light dinner. A small problem: Heidi likes to go out, Seal loves staying home. So Heidi gives everything to convince him. Her trick was revealed recently in an interview: always gently pushing, never giving up. "When we finally get there and the two of us sit and talk, it makes him happy every time." Furthermore, she always dresses up when going to restaurants or other occasions - not for others, but only to please him. "I always seek to be attractive to him. The baggy sweatpants have been banned from my wardrobe," Heidi says. she loves ultra-high, sexy heels, combining stilettos with really short, tight, mini-dresses. Admiring glances give her confidence. Her husband is admittedly inspired, independent of her outfit, she reveals - referring to the later phase of a "Sexy Time" evening. "I don't need to dress up or put on funny costumes [in bed]. It works great between us." Her nickname at home is "Muffin"; Seal loves to call his wife that. Who wouldn't think that's sweet... While in her private life everything goes wonderfully, Heidi Klum concerns herself intensively over her huge professional projects. In the USA the eighth season of her reality show "Project Runway" can presently be seen, a show which has been nominated multiple times for the US TV-award "Emmy". In addition, Heidi was recruited by the cosmetics giant "Astor". She designs fashion for pregnant women and a collection of active clothes "Heidi Klum for New Balance". Furthermore, the search process will soon begin for the sixth season of "Germany's Next Topmodel" when she will return to Germany. In March, the show will begin on ProSieben. On this last point is a quiet, discordant note in the otherwise harmonious job-concert of Heidi Klum. A few weeks ago Stefan Raab, the other draft horse of ProSieben, gave notice that he will start a model contest. Probably at the same time as Heidi. On its face, the competition is cool with it, writing on her homepage: "Whether I like it, I have no opinion." But, behind the scenes, run hot discussions as GALA has found. Heidi's father, Gunther Klum, is concerned with the marketing of Heidi's models and viewed Raab's idea with little enthusiasm, they say. Cristoph Korfer, spokesman for ProSieben, leaked to GALA: "It is a question of Stefan Raab's action that is not a show, but a new category in late night, 'TV total'." Nevertheless, Stefan Raab has backpedaled, altering "TV total's Next Supermodel with Stefan Raab" in the gag-title to "TV total's Next Beautiful Woman, That We Have on the Box, and When She Goes From A to B in a Dress a Little Bit Better with Stefan Raab". Also, should a future model resemble the tough Daniela Katzenberger or one of Heidi's girls. A declaration of war? The good thing: Heidi Klum is up for the challenge. Now more than ever.

Heidi answers your questions at SELF.com http://www.self.com/healthystars/2010/12/h...ideshow#slide=1 How do you do it all without losing your mind? —Laura, 38, New York City "I'm a big believer in to-do lists. I think of five things in the shower. I set goals and get my work done, but I have to plan for fun things, too. I'm always thinking about what will make my family happier. So I set up playdates and trips. I'm planning for a safari we can all go on together. What can I do with my husband? Can we steal away to Vegas for the weekend? You shouldn't wait for other people to make special things happen. You have to create your own memories." What's your favorite exercise? —Andreyna, 20, Boston "One of the best parts about season eight of Project Runway being taped in New York City was that I went running every morning. I had a watch that counts the miles and the little thing you put on your shoe that measures each step. Over seven weeks, I ran 120 miles! I don't love running, but I do like to see everything getting tighter and toned." Your skin is amazing. Share your antiaging secret, please! —Megan, 35, Baltimore "The ultimate beauty secret for a woman getting older is, Don't be too thin! When you are just muscle, you end up being gaunt in the face, and that makes you look older by 5 or 10 years. I don't think of getting older as looking better or worse; it's just different. You change, and that's OK. Life is about change. I don't have anxiety about it, so I'm not running to get Botox. Maybe that will change, but I don't think so. I feel comfortable in my skin and comfortable with aging, so I think it's OK that I get wrinkles." Do you ever feel overwhelmed? —Magdalena, 26, Gdynia, Poland "Definitely! When I'm at the dinner table and everybody asks me a question at the same time. Or when the baby cries and cries and you're, like, 'What is wrong? You're not hungry. I changed you—what is it?' The sound level goes really high, and it's like, whoa! I take a deep breath and say, 'This is my world.' It's a roller coaster. Sometimes you're on top and everything is fabulous, and sometimes it's crazy. But it's what I wanted, and in the end, I love it." Any tips for a busy mom on looking fresh? —Pamela, 45, Sugar Hill, Georgia "Sleep! I get up at 5:30, so I'm exhausted early. I go to bed at 8:30 most nights. Also, before events, I may get a spray tan. I like how it looks, but sometimes I leave gold shimmery marks all over!" How can I be braver with fashion without looking like a Runway reject? —Claire, 32, Chicago "If you find something you absolutely love, even if it's crazy, go for it! You have to forget about what others say. Personally, I don't love to blend in. People think it's cocky when I say it, which I laugh about, but I want to make statements. I don't like to be a quiet, gray mouse. I love to play around with color and gigantic earrings and short, sexy dresses!" How do you and Seal keep your marriage of five years strong? —Amy, 29, Cambridge, Massachusetts "Part of why we're so good together is that, in a lot of ways, we're opposites. I'm speedy, and I don't like sitting still for long. My husband is the most patient person I've ever met. He can explain something to the children for hours, and I will just say, 'OK, this is how it is.' We're both really creative people. We may have some different passions, but we love and respect and trust each other." What makes you happy? —Joy, 17, Cranbrook, British Columbia "I learned from working in the fashion world that if I have a day when I feel slapped in the face, or if someone has been mean, I just have to get back up and it will be another day. I think about what I'm grateful for. I look at my kids and my husband and think, Wow, I'm a really lucky person."

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/alltherage...heidi-klum.html Supermodel, TV host, mother, wife and Volkswagen fan Heidi Klum added even more glamour to the L.A. Auto Show on Wednesday when she showed up to introduce the new VW Eos, making its world debut at the event. Klum was introduced by VW Group of America President Jonathan Browning, who said she knew a lot about style. "I know a lot about style, you say? I know a lot about cars too," quipped Klum, adding she owns "a lot" of VW cars including a "beautiful bug" and "Tiguan." Her take on the new convertible Eos? "I think it's very beautiful and very stylish.... I like cars that are not super big that you can move in and out of the city and do your shopping and go back home and look stylish at the same time. I love convertibles because I live in Los Angeles. That's why we live here -- to drive convertible cars, no?" When Browning asked, "Sun roof or hood fully down?" Klum said, "It depends where I'm going and what kind of hairdo I have." Klum was wearing a convertible-frirendly low chignon at the event.

Access Hollywood Spotlight: Heidi Klum On Her Early Struggles You can see the video here: http://www.accesshollywood.com/access-holl...rss|latest_news Heidi Klum has gone from catwalking beauty to wife and media mogul. Now, she’s in the Access Hollywood Spotlight, opening up about everything you wanted to know about the gorgeous gal. “Didn’t it happen quickly for you? When you came to the states, didn’t they strike right way?” Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush asked Heidi. “No, no, no, I did a lot of catalogs in the beginning and I went to so many castings, after castings, after castings and tried, and tried, and tried, for many, many years,” Heidi said of her less-than-easy start in the modeling world. The gorgeous gal told Billy it was a long road from winning a 1992 modeling contest in Germany at 18-years-old to create the empire she runs today In Access Hollywood’s first interview with Heidi, at a fitting for a 1997 Victoria’s Secret runway show, she told an Access producer about landing the dream job that would prove to be her big break. “I really wanted it, I went in, I showed them what I got, and I got it,” Heidi said of getting the campaign. “First Victoria Secret show they call you, ‘The Body.’ Did you love the nickname?” Billy asked. “I loved all of it, I mean I loved doing Victoria’s secret, I loved doing the show with all those models that were you know doing it. It was Claudia Schiffer, it was Naomi Campbell, Tyra, Laetitia Casta, Karen Mulder, I mean you name it, they all did it, and I was the new kid on the block so it was amazing to be surrounded by all these women that I wanted to be,” Heidi said. “And then you get a title and you get to be put in the NY Post and then all of a sudden it kind of takes this wave.” Not everyone, however, saw Heidi’s potential right off the bat. “People would try to squeeze me into boxes and they said like, ‘Oh, you’re too commercial, you’re too happy, maybe we’ll cut your hair really short, maybe you lose some weight to be thinner,’” Heidi said of the pressures she faced. “I was like, ‘No, my hair is the way it is and I think my body is fine,’ and I would just kind of go with what I believed in.” Born in Germany in 1973, Heidi was surrounded by the beauty business. Her mom was a hairstylist, while her father worked for a cosmetics company.” “I grew up always with beauty products, perfume and make-up, eye shadow, lipsticks,” Heidi told Billy. “He would always bring things home, so I would always play with that from when I was 6.” For more with Heidi, tune into Access Hollywood on Monday and log back on to AccessHollywood.com.

Another year, another set of Heidi's tips for Halloween: http://www.stylelist.com/2010/10/28/heidi-...-costumes-tips/ When it comes to scary supermodels, Heidi Klum has Naomi Campbell beat. Every Halloween, the "Project Runway" star transforms herself into some of the most terrifying temptresses around, including a gorgeous golden alien, a red-hot witch, and a babealicious bloodsucker. Believe it or not, even you can look as ghoulishly cool as Klum -- and it won't require a head transplant. In a StyleList exclusive, the mother of four reveals her secrets for pulling together a frighteningly fabulous ensemble. Here, in her own words, are Klum's top costume picks for couples and kids, plus a few of her all-time favorites. KIDS Halloween is one of the best days of the year for a child to show off their imagination. Here are some basic costumes that you can really make one-of-a-kind. Bzzzz: A bumblebee costume is cute, fun, and shows that your child has a good sense of humor. Get a yellow-and-black-striped shirt, black tights, and black flats. Next, buy or make little yellow round bumblebee wings and antennae that bounce around when they move. Add some sparkles around the eyes and remind your little bee to buzz! Ahoy, Matey!: A pirate costume is great because both boys and girls can get into character, whether it be a swashbuckling pirate captain or a devious pirate maiden! Your kids also get to choose whether they are dirty rotten pirates with ripped-up clothes and dirt-smudged faces or dandy pirates sporting all of their sparkling treasure. Before preparing your costume, watch "Pirates of the Caribbean" together for some inspiration. You can buy the [Captain Jack] wigs with dreadlocks at any costume store. Add a bandanna and you're good to go! Witchy Woman: When your little girl grows out of the princess phase, the next best costume is a witch! A black, shredded metallic dress with a see-through hoop skirt works perfectly. Tease her hair and spray it all different colors -- blue, pink orange, green! Kids love having their hair sprayed! The Curse of the Mummy: A mummy costume can be as much fun to make as it is to wear. If you don't have any old sheets at home, you can buy some at a thrift store. Let the kids paint all over them to give them the "I've been buried in a tomb" look, then wrap them up. A good way to keep them wrapped is to hot glue the sheets to a pair of white sweatpants and T-shirt -- of course, not while the kid is wearing it. COUPLES When picking out a costume to wear with your significant other, choose a classic couple or something totally unexpected! If you are unsure about how to make a couples costume funny, just switch roles. Siegfried and Roy: It's really funny as a woman to dress like a man! This costume requires lots of spray tan, wigs, makeup, and lots of gold chains! High-waisted pants also equal lots of laughter and a fun night! Catch of the Day: An easy but fun costume is fisherman and mermaid. All you need are waders or a fishing vest -- and don't forget your fishing pole! For the ladies, go simple with lots of glitter, makeup, a maxi skirt, and a bikini top with seashells glued on. Just add some tulle or fabric to the skirt bottom to create your fin. Touchdown: This is a great way to bring out your inner teenager! A football jersey and some pillows for padding will create your quarterback. For the cheerleader, any short skirt and sweater will do as long as you splurge on the pom-poms. For fun, switch roles or go ghoulish with some white face paint for instant zombies. You're Under Arrest: There's nothing sexier than a man in uniform. My husband surprised me at my Halloween party a few years ago by "raiding" the place and restoring order. To be really in character, you have to get all the fun knickknacks a cop has: A pair of handcuffs is a must! For the lady, a tight red minidress, blazer, and high heels with tons of fake jewelry spilling out of the pockets will cause a stir! The bigger the jewels, the better. Me Tarzan, You Jane: I always love a good loincloth! These costumes can be quite sexy and fun -- the smallest amount of fabric and some bones in your hair. This costume is especially good when the man has a naturally hairy chest. You could always sub it with a hairpiece for an extra laugh. OLD FAVORITES Here are some of my favorite costumes every year. Meow, Sexy Black Cat: Making a cat costume is actually pretty simple. Get a leotard and some fabric paint, and draw cat patterns right onto the leotard. Buy a dog collar with a tag and put a fun message on it. When I was a cat in 2007, I put, "If lost, please return to Seal." You can also buy cat ears and a fake tail that can be attached with a few stitches or a safety pin. I Vant Your Blood: Fangs are one of my favorite costume elements, and I love any excuse to wear them! The more blood dripping down them, the better and scarier. Also, play with changing your look: If you are blond, get a great black wig. If you have jet-black hair, go gray. It's good to invest in one amazing element of your costume that you can save and reuse. Superhero: Be a superhero and choose your own superpowers! Own this costume a bit, and steer clear of the Halloween store pre-made costumes. Grab a tool belt and some gadgets around your house. With a cape and a giant letter on your chest, you can save the day! Flapper: A flapper costume is totally classic. Yes, it's from the 1920s, but you can do a lot to modernize it. Go to a thrift store and find a great sequined dress. It's amazing what you can find in thrift shops -- I love popping in to take a look around even if it's not Halloween. Buy a fun sequined headband with a feather, and style your hair with bouncy curls.
