Karolina Kurkova Height: 179 DOB: February 28, 1984 Probably the third most in demand full-time model (after Gisele and Carmen), this Czech appeals strongly to both the fashion elite and the mass market. She reminds me a bit of Claudia Schiffer and Adriana Sklenarikova, having a classical beautiful face devoid of the kookiness so in vogue now. Some people have criticized her her being overly thin. This is most apparently when you look at her legs, her thighs being barely wider than her calves. Still I think her body is really hot - she has more curviness than most of the other ectomorphic models, a wonderfully tapering upper back and quite noticeable breasts (which she makes little effort to conceal). From backstage footage of her she comes across as being very energetic and playful (aping other's mannerisms, adopting strange walks, play acting), though obviously is capable of sobriety when the occasion demands. I think she started modeling in 1999, and a year later arrived at her current, pre-eminent position. She always wanted to be a model and unlike a lot of other "take the money and run" type models, she seems genuinely interested in the fashion business. He found her as a relatively unknown model in Prague and obviously has done an excellent job managing her career. Her work for Victoria's Secret is interesting. Most of the VS models no longer do much high fashion work, but the VS people discovered Karolina just as her career was accelerating - they cast her in their 2000 Cannes parade (my favourite VS show so far - the 2002 show didn't live up to expectations). Eugenia Volodina Stats: 81/62/92 Eugenia - an enigmatic model who seems to have germinated overnight. She first came to my attention in an Gucci campaign with compatriot Natalia Vodianova, and during a Versace haute couture show in 2002. I assume she comes from the southern parts of Russia - there's an Asiastic cast to her lovely face. On the catwalk she's one of the most impressive models - a long, lean catwalk machine (to borrow another's phrase). Her conical breasts, enormous hips and near vertical scapulae are distinctive features. She seems to have a serene temperament, but I recently uncovered photographics proof that she is capable to breaking out a smile. Eugenia has been cast for a lot of shows these past 2 seasons, but is currently only familiar to the fashion elite. Don't worry girl, with me rooting for you, you'll be an A-list celeb in no time

Carmen Kass Stats: 89/60/89 (awesome) Height: 179cm DOB: September 14, 1978 Of the models to emerge over the past 5 years Carmen is the second most powerful presence, deferring only to Gisele Bundchen. Unlike Gisele though she hasn't penetrated into popular culture. Time for Carmen to get a celebrity boyfriend and make a few appearances in "Men's Magazines" Actually I think she wishes to remain a high fashion model and not to lower herself to the level of the vulgar masses. Intelligent and strong-willed is the impression get of her from interviews. Unlike most models her body doesn't have any flaws. Her best body part are her thighs in my opinion, the rest being not far behind. She lost a bit of weight soon after she started modeling in 1997 (about 5 kg gathering from a few scans I have of her from that period). Carmen made the "bob" hairstyle fashionable in 2000 (several other models such as Bridget Hall followed suite), but I preferred the long "blond" hair of her earlier years. Thankfully she's reverting back to long hair again. She also seems to be much more comfortable with nudity now - in the past year I've seen her in transparent tops in several parades (Exte, Paco Rabanne..)
