American Photo - Sep/Oct 2001 This special issue called "Secrets of the Masters" has some of the lesser-known works of photography's greatest masters. Photographers include Irving Penn, Annie Leibovitz, Regan Cameron, Neil Leifer, Sebastiao Salgado. There are two-full page face portraits of Madonna by Cameron, including the cover, which is reproduced inside without the blurbs. Another nice photo is the one of Julia Roberts (see sample), in a rare unsmiling shot by Brigitte Lacombe. Other subjects include John F. Kennedy, Muhammad Ali, Jayne Mansfield. Copies marked (!) also include a 140-page supplement, "Popular Photography Digital Imaging Guide".
