Shoshana Fitzgerald was born October 13th 1964 in New York and grew up mostly in San Francisco. Her mother Margot Shap was born in Berlin in 1936 to Polish Jewish parents. She passed away in 2010. Her father Frederic Fitzgerald was born in 1925 in Pennsylvania but lived in New York and San Francisco. He also passed in 2010. Frederic was mixed race being both black and white and he was very light skinned. If you go back in the records his parents are mixed race and back farther you can see then that his ancestors were both black slaves and white ancestors. Shoshana definitely gets a lot of her looks from her mother Margot - the greenish grey bedroom eyes, that great nose and the general face shape. She gets that added dose of looking exotic from her father. I remember meeting her a few times in 1985 or 1986 in San Francisco when she was dating Eric. Her first big break was when Yves St. Laurent had a large show in San Francisco and Shoshana was cast in it. That seemed to lead her to being such a successful model especially in Paris where she was a regular on the runways especially for certain designers like Christian Lacroix.
