I think you are right in your opinion, as right as an opinion can be with interpretation, even if it is surprising. Living outside of the heart of LA can only do wonders for one's soul I would imagine. It doesn't need to be far or up in the mountains a long distance from everything to get some breathing space. He does seem like a guy who needs to think ten years before he makes such move tho so one day we might hear that he has left the Hollywood hills for something better. I am positive that the house in that fantasy future would most definitely be very beautiful and like a piece of art on its own with Leos's taste in mind. 🙃 And it would make his PR people happy on their morning meeting when they can call a selected paper and announce a new house. 😂 The relief they will feel. ❤

This narrative surprises me. With people in the industry, you already know what you get. They want to stay in the industry so they are more compliant to be quiet and do as been told and never critic Leo. Or at least whatever they sign hinders them from it. Someone from the outside could become something completely different. Doesn't know the rules or might not care that they are any. Not easily controlled with an appearance in mind. Says things they shouldn't just to see what would happen if the things get said. A devil's advocate just for the fun of it. 🙃

I don't like that I do like this movie. If that makes sense? I think because we see this kind of dynamic so often in real life that it becomes an "oh no not you two again" feeling for me. Two normal people with as Leo puts it selfish agendas that become narcissistic and toxic put together. If they split they would probably find happiness but no one even gets to that point. The fear of losing the house or money or status becomes more important than happiness. If we talk about today when it is more normal to split than it was in the 1950. I have learned that people live their life as how they want it to be and not how it is. They rarely look at the other person and say: you and I are really bad for each other and we would probably be better humans far away from where the other is. They usually want to save everything by getting married or having a kid and the bad situation keeps going. I was surprised by the ending of this movie. I can't imagine how it must have felt back then to do that yourself. The agony and fear while trying to convince yourself that it is for the best. The outcome was probably more the case than successful was. For all the ladies that has gone through it. ❤

There are so long periods between talking about making a movie, making it, and then showing it that I forgot that Mr. Scorsese is incoming soon. I have always liked how Leo talks about him. You can tell they have a deep bond and understand each other. Shutter Island is a masterpiece with all the hidden clues that I don't see. The glass is there and then it is not. The deep and introspective talk will be back this year after the latest comedy. 🙃

On the contrary. Do you think walking away (throw in the towel) is easy? I often hear that it is so easy for me to just walk away when people don't give me high enough credit for everything that was done before I did. Throw in the towel can be liberating when we hit an end of the road. I know I did love. I showed compassion. I was to huge help and comfort. I have a temper so fights surely were a passionate ingredient. Making up to. I will always be for walking away but that doesn't mean I lose. As past time has taught me. 🙃 I do however admire people that don't give up. Change their plan when things don't go as they planned but also have the courage to abandon ship when it is sinking. Go down with it if you want, disaster happens every day, but be aware that it is sinking.

I didn't know Leo's grandmother came from Odessa. I learned just year's ago that my own grandfather was Russian and came from Odessa before he left for another country. Just read that it is high alert that the Russians are planning to bomb Odessa. I do hope no one is still there if they do. Ukrainian has shown to be very brave people. ❤

I felt sorry for the people that worked on the IPCC report 2022 that got overshadowed by the conflict in Ukraine. (As it should). But reading and listening to the conclusions of the report was like: Life sucks and then a war starts. Depressing and dome prediction. Who/what is going to instinct us first? The environment or guns?
