Nancy O'Dell named new face of hair care line. Watch out Eva Longoria. A new hair care face is joining the endorsement deal ranks of past and present gals Eva Longoria Parker, Beyonce and Kelly Ripa. Former "Access Hollywood" co-anchor Nancy O'Dell has been named the official spokeswoman for Conair's international professional hair care line RUSK and BaByliss Pro, according to her publicist. O'Dell's latest endeavor comes on the heels of her surprising exit from entertainment news program "Access Hollywood" in December. Since O'Dell's departure, she's kept very busy hosting awards shows, charity events and celebrity parties. Nancy will co-host VH1's "Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam" featuring Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Timbaland on Thursday (Feb. 4). And she recently served as host of the 15th annual Critics Choice Awards. O'Dell is extremely thrilled to kick off this latest project with RUSK and BaByliss Pro, having been a fan of their hair products for years. "As a busy mom, wife and journalist, I feel I am representative of the many women whom hairstylists across the country see on a daily basis. I know I trust the stylists' opinions about which products to use. And that is how I originally started to use RUSK and now BaByliss Pro," said O'Dell in a statement. Nancy continues to expand her resume beyond television, even launching a line of outdoor furniture called Red Carpet Furniture. However, industry insiders wonder what will be O'Dell's next broadcast move. Upon departing "Access Hollywood," O'Dell indicated she would be pursuing future projects in broadcast journalism, so an announcement of a new gig seemed imminent. "Having been at 'Access Hollywood' from day one of the show, this has been an incredibly tough decision for O'Dell," said a statement in December. "She will miss her 'Access Hollywood' family, but looks forward to still seeing them all on the red carpet." Rumors were swirling last week that Nancy O'Dell would be joining "Dancing with the Stars" as new co-host after Samantha Harris announced she was leaving the show. Hola, from Mexico! Buenas Dias! I’m on an extended vacation in the Riviera Nayarit region of Mexico. I came here to research a new book that I’m writing and am having a fantastic time. The beaches here are spectacular and when I’m not writing (or eating — my favorite pastime), I’m taking full advantage of their beauty — surfing, kayaking, sunbathing, or as seen in this pic, spearfishing! Now, I can’t take full credit, I didn’t actually spear this fish. I paddled the kayak for a surfer who spearfishes, but I just wanted to take a picture and pretend like I got it. I contributed, right? We cooked up the fish whole, and served it with corn tortillas, a squeeze of lime, and a little pico de gallo. Simple, and oh so delicioso. After spending several months in Los Angeles – with a few weeks in New York – the international family of eight headed to Venice, Italy, on Monday, where Jolie is soon expected to begin shooting her upcoming thriller, The Tourist, with Johnny Depp. Last week, Jolie went on a three-day trip to earthquake-ravaged Haiti and the neighboring Dominican Republic before joining Pitt and the kids for a long Valentine's Day weekend in Los Angeles. Friday turned out to be family night, with the entire Jolie-Pitt brood enjoying a sizzling dinner at a Benihana Japanese Steakhouse. The next evening Pitt, 46, and Jolie, 34, stepped out for a private event at The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. The family laid low on Valentine's Day Sunday – then jetted off to Venice on Monday. It didn't take long for them to be spotted grabbing some ice cream while they took in their new, temporary home. Even the rarely-seen twins, Vivienne and Knox, were spotted in mom and dad's arms boarding a water taxi. Should they return to their European base at Chateau Miraval during their stay, the family will be able to enjoy a new addition to the property: a 300-to-400-year-old olive tree purchased at English Garden Center in Opio, France, which is scheduled to be planted at Miraval this spring. Glamour Interview Gwen Stefani On Her Most Romantic Moment, Her New Perfumes and the Va-Va-Voom Makeup at L.A.M.B’s Fall 2010 Show. Gwen was in New York this week to both prep for her LAMB line presentation and to promote her latest Harajuku Girl summer scent, Sunshine Cuties. When I caught up with her sat there, she was surrounded by dozens of her cute little fragrance bottles. (Side note: I want them all!) We talked about fragrance (of course), makeup (natch), her LAMB show (it is fashion week after all) and…Gavin! (Since it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow I think it’s okay to take a moment to swoon.) GLAMOUR: The new fragrances are so cute! Which one is your favorite? GWEN: It’s so hard to choose, but they’re all really cool, aren’t they? And they’re a lot lighter than the last ones we did. I think anyone can wear any of them. Do you wear all of them? What I’ll do is I will get really into one, wear it all the time, then I try something new, and then, I’ll get into that one. I don’t switch every day. I’m the same with clothes, I’ll get really into these pants and wear them a lot until I get into something else. What’s the coconut scent mean to you? I just always liked the smell of coconut, I like that whole Hawaiian Tropic thing. Growing up I was never super into perfume. (It always made me feel a little bit sick!) I always was more into lotions and oils: I had this coconut lotion that I loved so they incorporated that into it. We asked our readers what they’d want to ask you on Facebook and we got a lot of questions. So I’m going to ask you a few of their Q’s. First off: that gorgeous lipstick shade of yours. Everyone wants to know what your favorite is! I have a lot of different reds that I wear. For the show we are going to do a really dark, dark red, but I just wear anything from, I mix it up, mostly blue reds, now recently I’ve kind of got into pinks which I hadn’t done for a long time and I started wearing a burgundy color for a while. But it’s always a dark red because that’s what my husband likes. (FYI, I found out that she was wearing a mixture of MAC Ruby Roo and Russian Redat her LAMB show!) Speaking of your husband…Valentine’s day is the weekend. What’s the most romantic thing your husband’s ever done for you–and you for him? Oh, probably, marry me! (laughs) Procreate with me! (laughs again) That’s pretty romantic isn’t it? Can you tell me a little about the makeup inspiration behind your LAMB show? Because the whole collection is a little bit soldier girl, boudoir-like, vintage Hollywood girl, we drew inspiration from those old 1930’s black, real black eyes, dark lips, a lot of makeup, and really sexy, really like naughty, kind of, well…I won’t go too far into all the fantasy stuff, but I drew from old Ellen Von Unwerth shoots. The hair is very set, very Hollywood, and really vintage in feeling. Well Gwen’s fantasy played out at the show. Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury gave the models those dark, dark, outlined lips (created by mixing black and red lipsticks) and super sexy eyes which were whipped up with lots of liner, mascara on top and bottom lashes, and finally, a bit black MAC eye gloss on top of the lids! Meanwhile, Gwen’s own hairstylist of the past 17 years, Danilo used Moroccanoil products and a small curling iron to create the girls’ awesome retro curls. What made the style seem so modern? A center part and clip-on bang extensions! He even styled little Zuma’s hair (Gwen’s adorable baby)! I found out that actually Gwen cuts her kids’ hair herself–Danilo taught her how!
