Too bad Azzedine Alaïa made her choose between him and Karl Lagerfeld around the time of her wedding, she was a great model for Chanel. And she happened to model for that brand during the few years when it was at its best, in my own humble opinion_ but maybe I'm biased! Thanks for the amazing pictures, as always.

Has anyone read Sante D'Orazio's memoirs, A Shot In The Dark? There are no new pictures of Stephanie and no anecdotes about the shoots, she is almost never mentioned explicitly whereas he has said on his Instagram that she was his number one muse, but I think the "seductress" in chapter 19 and "Cookie" in chapter 65 are her. She seems to have been pretty wild back then, to say the least! I love how he describes the effect of her beauty. I would be curious to have your thoughts...

As everyone says, I am so surprised (and thrilled) that there are still new pictures from the 80s and and I just love it when there are outtakes from well-known shoots such as the Wayne Maser one. Continue with the good work! That scanner was a good investment for all of us!

I never understood why all the other models in that editorial had single shots or in pairs but not Stephanie. I am sure there are some in Peter Lindbergh's archives somewhere...
