    What I think has happened:

    1.Iran is an existential threat to both Saudi Arabia and Israel. Trump is closely aligned with both and has promised, behind closed doors to perform favors for both as they join forces to crush if not weaken Iran. Trump and his family are close personal friends to both MBS and Netanyahu. Netanyahu has even stayed in Trump's son-in law's house. (Jared Kushner).

    2. In return these important connections/networks will massively benefit his political dynasty while he is alive and also after his death, through his children and his family. Trump's sons will likely have a great political future unless they are systematically killed off, like the Kennedys.

    3.In essence the Trump family is like how the Kennedys, Bushes, and Clintons once were.

    4.Trump's major donors and sources of corruption include both Saudi Arabia & the Jewish Lobby (via billionaire donors and zionist organizations. He is actually deeply bound by family (Jared Kushner) as MBS/Saudis have invested 2 billion dollars in Jared's private equity fund. Basically the Saudi Crown Prince has the Trump family by the balls.

    1. Right now Trump is in a bind of sorts. It is likely that the US will have to launch a sustained air operation of many waves of strikes to eliminate Iranian nuclear ability, which will massively increase risks that American servicemen will be shot down and killed/captured. Iran received the Russian S-300 a long time ago and possess Air-defense systems that can shoot down American aircraft.

    2. The problem with Trump committing to the air campaign is that it will further entrench the US into the Iran-Israeli war and also be a massive betrayal to his MAGA base. Overall I think Trump can live with that, as the billionaire donors and crown prince are much more valuable than millions of 'peons'.

    Donald seems mostly focused on looking out for his own (and his family’s) political future and money. His close ties with guys like MBS and Bibi, plus the big investments in his family’s businesses, show it’s all about personal gain. So it makes sense that his decisions about Iran are more about those connections than what’s best for America or normal people. At the end of the day, it feels like he’s just trying to protect his own power and wealth.
