Agreed. It’s crazy to think that people can’t educate themselves simply because they can’t afford it. Every single person should have the opportunity to pursue an academic/professional path.

That’s not correct. AI might reshape how academic fields operate, but it won’t make them obsolete, not even close. In fact, fields like ethics, education, psychology and philosophy are now more important than ever because of AI. If anything it broadens the scope of those fields, not erases them. Remember that AI doesn’t generate new knowledge or think/reason like humans. It predicts patterns based on existing data, that’s it.

It’s about expanding how you think, learning to collaborate, building networks, thinking critically and being exposed to new ideas, cultures, and perspectives. You don’t just leave with a degree, you leave better equipped to understand the world and function in it. That’s not a scam, that’s growth. You don’t learn that online. Depends on the kind of production capability you mean. China may lead in overall manufacturing volume, but pumping out rifles and ammo doesn’t win modern wars. The U.S still leads in advanced military technology, global defense exports and high-end R&D. Sure, wars aren't won by most advanced weapons alone, strategy, logistics and politics matter as well. But advanced systems "don’t matter"? If you can strike from 1000 miles away while the other guy is still loading his RPG, that’s not a minor advantage, it’s decisive. Arms manufacturers exaggerate to some extent to boost sales, but dismissing technological superiority entirely is its own kind of delusion.
