I'm pretty sure Adriana wasn't going to DogPound prior to them posting her. Kirk makes it known when Adriana is there. Even in Qatar it seems she maybe casually went once despite them being there. I recall Ana would post going to workout with them with other people and Adriana would never be there. I'm pretty sure she started training with Andre's friend this year who is a personal trainer. She promoted his class on her story and he was on their Brazil trip. I questioned this since she's literally an investor for DogPound and it would be a perfect time to promote DogPound as she is on a big weight loss journey. And now add the fact that she's planning a return to VS. The need to always employ Andre's friends and stuff is weird to me.
About Alessandra... Adriana obviously always had a bigger impact on VS than her. There's actually other models I'd say had a bigger impact than Ale. Just because Ale was there nearly as long as Adriana doesn't mean she needed to have a big farewell thing as well if it simply wasn't as deserved. I don't think they needed to do a farewell for every model that left. Heck at least Ale got some recognition for when she left whereas everyones contracts quietly ended after the 2018 show.
I get your point, Alessandra wasn't my favorite VS model either, but there's really no denying that she had a huge impact on the company. It is not that all the models that leave deserve a farewell, but after all, Alessandra is the 2nd model with the most shows done, 2 FB, dozens and dozens of campaigns, always appearing all the specials (Swim Special, Valentine's Day, Superbowl, Christmas and more), she definitely deserved more than a backstage farewell, if they really wanted to make things right.
Here I agree with what @Souled-Out says, the company had their favorites and while you can clearly see that Adriana or Candice, for example, were some of the favorites, Alessandra was definitely never one of them. And this isn't necessarily something to blame for the company, Alessandra doesn't have Adriana's face, Candice's body or Gisele's talent as a model, but based on work, being a very constant model, who never missed a show, she never had a problem staying in shape year-round for any campaign during nearly two decades in the company's service and she never had any scandal, she became a major model for the brand. But obviously she was never one of the company's favorites, there are very obvious facts that confirm it, probably the most notorious is how long it took them to give her the FB. She started with VS in 2000 and they didn't give her the FB until 2012, 12 years later, no other model who wore the FB needed so many years to get it. And it seemed more like an obligation than because they really wanted to give it to her, it was like, well, this woman has been with us for 12 shows in a row, maybe it's already inevitable that we give her the FB, along the way they even gave it to Marisa Miller (!!) before her, they definitely didn't trust her at all. In addition, she "only" opened the show once (2009) and only closed it once (2017, the year of her retirement).
I never read anything about her being a person with whom it is difficult to work, tbh, I don't know how true those rumors are, I wouldn't believe them very much. After all, she has always seemed to have a very good relationship with the rest of the models, about this she even seems much more friendly than Adriana and we know that Adriana has always been a wonderful person to work with. Of the few (because she's not the most popular celeb in the world either) stories I've read about her from fans who have met her, they all agree that she's nice. I also think that, in case she was problematic, the company would have cut her off immediately, like they did with Miranda Kerr (and you can tell they liked her way more than Ale), because with how little they liked her, if she were to give them trouble on top of that... There are also models who, due to some misunderstanding, get a bad name and that persecutes them in a completely unfair way, like the case of Taylor Hill, I have good information that, far from being problematic, she is one of the models with whom it's easier to work with, really nice girl.

That Kirk Myers guy doesn't stop tagging the Victoria's Secret account in every Adriana story he posts, I take it for granted that he has to know something more because he's been spending a lot of time with Adriana lately, as well as being business partners since he's the founder of Dogpound. Certainly, considering the job Adriana has to do for the gym, which is basically being an ambassador that makes the gym more famous, a return to the VS show talking about how she got back into shape after pregnancy at 42 (whenever the show she will have turned 42 by now), would make a great ad campaign for the gym. I definitely don't think it's a coincidence that, for the past few weeks, they've started posting content of Adriana training and tagging Victoria's Secret almost every day, when before we had hardly any content about Adriana, it seems like something planned.
Although I still don't want her to return to VS and even less to the show, I think it's a closed stage of her career and VS is a company adrift. They already gave her a farewell, quite nice, truth be told, which even felt disrespectful from the brand for the big differences between the farewell they did to Adriana (the one she deserved) and the one they did to Alessandra (very poor in comparison), as much as Adriana has been more iconic and popular, I felt a little sorry for Alessandra for the difference that was seen in the treatment of each one, because Alessandra was not one more model of so many for VS.

What happened between them?
Bellemere was accused of sexual harassment by several VS models, many of whom did so from anonymity, one of those who made it public was Lais, who recounted an episode of sexual harassment in one of the VS specials in St Barths. It's assumed that Taylor also reported an episode of this type to the company because years ago (2018) Bellemere posted a pic of Taylor on IG with the caption "Thank you for your lies, masks off" or something like that, although he later deleted the post. Since that episode, in 2018, all these models (Josephine, Jasmine, Sara, Taylor, Romee and Lais) unfollowed Bellemere on IG and if my memory serves me correctly, none of them have worked with Bellemere again.

Devid Bellemere... that's going to be 🔥! Then again, that may be an old pic.
It's an old pic. It belongs to the editorial that the VS angels did for Vogue Spain April or May 2016. And in fact, Taylor and Bellemere ended up quite badly between them, so I wouldn't expect them to work together ever again. Well, straight up, I wouldn't expect any of the VS angels to work with Bellemere again, at least not the ones from that group of friends (Josephine, Jasmine, Sara, Taylor, Romee and Lais).

You can tell that she has already lost a lot of weight, like 80-85% of what she gained during the pregnancy, those legs are already of a pretty skinny woman for her height. Although she has always been more fattening in the upper body than in her legs, but she is already close to her normal weight. However, her face still looks a little plumper/swolled, I stand by my theory that she suffers from fluid retention in her face for some reason.

I feel like we don't know enough about André to judge him properly (although taking into account that it would always be from a distance of not knowing him personally), he has a very private public profile. I don't like him physically and I HATE his hair (seriously, enough with that cut and the gel), but that's something very superficial and personal, for Adriana he seems like the most handsome man in the world and in the end that's what matters.
For the rest... as I said before, I feel that we know almost nothing about him. And this isn't necessarily bad. Although it's true that I don't like, in general about any relationship (celebs or not), that her partner is constantly by her side as if he lived off her, it already happens to me with Romee and her fiancée. Removing that, André is pretty indifferent to me, like I don't hate him, nor do I particularly like him. In fact, I would even say that compared to the last men Adriana has dated, he is the best, although by the way, the bar was very, very low.

Yes. She denied to answer a question about having a boyfriend while she was in Brazil for Carnival. They do not interact with each other on Instagram anymore. Last year he made a very cute post on her birthday and we got nothing this year, same on Valentine's Day and Coachella.
I didn't know about that in Carnival, is there a source for that? Was it an interview or something? It's true about the birthday, I hadn't think about it, he hasn't posted anything about Ale's birthday and that's quite suspicious. On the other hand, I don't give much importance to him not posting anything on Valentine's Day because that is February 14 and, on March 4, Alessandra commented on his last post, about the aurora borealis, saying that it's magical and he replied to her "You are magical", so at least until March 4, they seemed to still be together.

I don't think she broke up. She's just quite busy lately and travelling a lot. I do find the absence strange as well. Especially with her birthday. Only time will tell...
I hope they haven't broken up, I like the couple they make and she seemed really into him and very happy with him, but it's strange. I understand that he couldn't or didn't want to go to Brazil for about 20 days or a month that Ale was in Brazil, but even since before Ale went to Brazil, they hadn't been seen together for a while. And now, that she is back from Brazil, neither. This festival, Coachella, being a weekend (apparently more relaxed work-wise), being relatively close to LA... don't know. But yes, only time will tell.
-
Is she single again? It's been a while, like 2-3 months, that we haven't seen her with her boyfriend considering that before we saw them together several times a week. I would almost certainly say that they have broken up if it weren't for the fact that they still follow each other on Instagram and haven't deleted their pics together, which is what Alessandra did when she broke up with her previous boyfriend (Nicolo Oddi).

They have a nanny. Adriana also has a personal chef. So i dont think she is being overworked cooking and cleaning after all those kids. She has people to take care of that. Andre's mom has shown Adriana had 5 people working in her house with the kids, cooking, and cleaning. And we dont even know how invovled she is with his kids. Andre seems to have no issues leaving them to follow Adriana on her trips while she works and he is just there for no good reason. So who knows how involved he even is.. Because it seems they have also flown his mom over to take care of them for him.
I personally think its fine and probably best for Adriana that she wants to keep working out and being healthy and all that. Shes come a long way already. She was very big in Qatar in December. I dont think she was doing much prior to that. But started working on it at the start of this year and I think she practically lost most the weight now. Which is impressive considering where she was in December.
On 4/12/2023 at 6:31 PM, Souled-Out said:I agree, 1. Andre's kids should not be that much of a factor (although I do think his children and her children and andre himself play a role of why she looks and seems tired and out of it at some events) but they have 0 to do with her weight management.
I also agree, Adriana shouldn't settle for not looking up to par just because she is 41. She's just 41. Naomi campbell is in her 50s and obviously makes the right decisions to physically keep up her body so that she can continue to work, because she wants to. If Adriana wants to keep being a model and maintain her status she does have to do the part. She is not and never was a plus sized or bloated model. So people don't expect her to be one. She can be if she retired and decides to live her life as a regular person. But realistically to be the model that she is, she has to do whats expected. And while I do think at her age it takes more time to get her looks back, I don't think she should give up or settle for a look that is not her full potential
And yeah Adriana is literally an ambassador for dog pound, fitness is still her brand so its another reason it makes no sense for her to slack off on it. I still think Adriana needs some rest though clearly because she just hasn't looked like she is well facially at most events this year. But she can have more rest while also being fit and healthy. Because lets not forget sometimes Adriana finds her weight shifting from eating poorly here and there
Yes, I assume that Adriana will have help from domestic staff with the housework, after all, she is a millionaire, but even so, being the mother and stepmother of 5 children who are still very young and who depend on you, is an exhausting task, not only for having to clean or cook, there are many more things. In any case, I would also like to see Adriana thinner (especially, with a less swollen face) and I think we will see her thinner, but I understand VS's movement in the sense that Adriana, the most normal thing, is that she already doesn't look like she did in 2016, with her canonical model body and her face that looked 10 years younger. Now Adriana will be representing more mature women, many of them mothers, not plus size women because she obviously wouldn't be a realistic representation of a plus size woman because she's not a plus size woman.
Adriana can look very good, very healthy and very fit without looking like she did 6 years ago. And in the end each body is different, there are models that maintain their physical shape with less effort than others. For example, it's clear that Adriana and Candice don't have the same body type and that staying slim takes a lot more effort for Adriana than it does for Candice. For this reason, in part, it seems to me that Adriana's long career has so much merit, because she has had to put a lot of effort on her part to always stay in such good physical shape. That's why she has always had the reputation of being the VS model who worked the most in the gym, while others kept fit with lighter exercises such as yoga, pilates or ballet. It's something that has always been very noticeable in her, from the pregnancies, that she always gains a lot of weight to some times that she has gone on vacation, she has relaxed a bit with her diet and workout, and it was already noticeable that she had gained weight.
That's why I don't see as much drama about her being able to relax a little bit with all of that, considering her age, her busier family situation, and that she doesn't have to prove anything to anyone anymore. I think that the healthiest thing for her, both physically and mentally, will be that from now on she weighs 6, 7 or 8 kilos more than she did in 2016, 2017 or 2018. But if she wants to go back to looking like in those years, it's her decision and it's respectable.

What does Andre's have anything to do with her trying to get back in shape? I disagree that Adriana should have had the baby and basically do nothing and accept it simply because she's 41 and has 3 kids. Adriana is a model at the end of the day. So it's part of her job. Obviously I don't think she should be doing anything unhealthy to lose weight. But she's lost most the weight at this point and seems to want to continue working on that. Fitness was also part of Adriana's brand.
I haven't said anything about André. It's just that Adriana now no longer has only her children, but also André's children to take care of, just as André has to take care of Adriana's children, as a good family. And at the end of the day, that's a lot of children to take care of, which consume a lot of time and energy. I'm not saying that Adriana simply shouldn't do anything to lose weight, on the contrary, I think it's great that she does, that she continues to go to the gym, that's healthy. But we have to accept that a 42-year-old model who has to take care of several children cannot have the body of a 34-year-old model. And it's good that the fashion world is beginning, little by little, to accept this and stop demanding 38 or 40-year-old models to look like 26-year-olds.

Ugh I hope not.
That branding has not worked well for VS and it CERTAINLY won't work well for Adriana, I am sure she knows this by this point. Like that body shaming she was experiencing def eventually bothered her, and she has been working out and losing weight consistently still. As she should. its not a good idea she just let herself go as a model who is from the 00s. Also Adriana was already dragged and bashed by the REAL body positivity community, even before this VS stuff she was being shut down by them.
So I don't agree with this direction and I hope its not even true because this has not been working out well for VS. And it also has not worked well for Adriana. She doesn't need to mess up her career and image over something like this. The real body positivity community literally shunned her, Adriana should not still be trying to be apart of that community after that.
It's important that Adriana accept herself as she is, on the one hand it's good that she lose weight and keeping doing exercise but without losing her mind, I don't see it as a good thing that she tries to recover, at 42 years old, 3 children and 3 stepchildren, the body that she had a few years ago, so on the one hand it doesn't seem bad to me that she embraces body positivism, despite the fact that that community will always throw her words about the extreme diet she did before the VS fashion shows in her face.
In any case, I don't like her working with VS again. Obviously it's her decision and she will surely be paid very well, but I think that VS is a company adrift. In fact, I think that both Adriana and Alessandra or Candice should have stopped working with VS like in 2014. VS already looked like it was a sinking ship, the quality of the shows (from lingerie shows to practically music festivals) and the prestige of the brand (from 4 or 5 exclusive angels to 8, 10 and even 12 angels) had long since disappeared, even before the scandals that rocked the company in the following years.
Now it seems like they want to get the show back trying to please everyone, I guess having several plus size models, 50 or 60 year old models, trans and all that in the show. It even seems that they want to eliminate the concept of angel, which seems to me a huge mistake, that was one of its main strengths, something that differentiated the company. Basically looks like they're going to try to copy Rihanna's Savage X Fenty Show, but if you don't have Rihanna, it's practically impossible not to be a flop.

I read an article today about her return to Victoria's Secret, actually i read many since her return. So far what i understood is, VS is going to use Adriana's current ''imperfect'' look/figure to create some variety that society ask for. They collobrated with her becasue she is not at ther perfect figure?
Considering they want a company with a more politically correct image to wash the company's image over the scandals of the past few years, it makes a lot of sense. They can sell that Adriana now has a less canonical body since she is not as skinny as she was in her last years in VS and that she is older, representing body positivity and mature women.

It's easy to know which models call the paparazzi and which don't. Ale is definitely one of those who calls the paparazzi, perhaps the most obvious case is that of Miranda Kerr, we went from several years in which you saw Miranda's candids practically every day (and I like it, I like her street style) to not having anything from her once she managed to marry her current and billionaire husband and that's not because Miranda ceased to be interesting from one year to the next. This doesn't necessarily mean that one model is more popular or attracts more attention than another. Adriana attracts more attention than Ale and less than Gisele.

I feel like fans don’t understand aging well and just like to blame everything on fillersIrina is younger than Adriana and I see people call her haggered/looks older than her age all the time. Adriana always had a round face with plenty of definition
Irina’s face has never even looked like that. Adriana’s face has a history of looking like that since she was young, so you should not compare them. They have different face types.
and because Adriana is now an older women, people “forget” how round her face and cheeks always been and thinks she is filler obsessed when her cheeks and everything been looking like that.
FYI Adriana lost alot of weight but clearly not all of it as long as her butt and tummy continues to still be big, its possible her face will
I don’t think its that deep to say she has a complex insecurity issue and thats why her makeup looks are the way are. Its literally only like that for patrick ta, and she just may simply enjoy his style of work. Especially as a woman who clearly does not know how to do her own makeup. But Irina is not a good comparison, they have face structures and I see people call out irina’s aging alot despite her being younger. And Adriana herself doesn’t walk around with much makeup which kills the “insecurity” argument. She would be walking around with her face beat around the clock. Thats not the case. She is just okay with patrick’s work.
People talking nonsense about the physique of celebrities, especially models, there will always be. I've seen criticism about Irina, about Adriana, Candice, Doutzen, Miranda, Alessandra, no one is spared from people's criticism in the age of Instagram, not even younger girls like Barbara or Taylor, but people are specially cruel with +35yo models. But the truth is that Irina looks absolutely stunning for her age, any 37-year-old woman would kill to look the way Irina looks and it's one of the main reasons why she is one of the most prominent and prolific models of the last years. She is a 37-year-old woman, a mother, who doesn't stop working, who lives on the plane doing photoshoots for covers, fashion weeks and advertising campaigns, it is normal that if she doesn't put on a lot of makeup, sometimes she looks tired and, therefore, older. And I think it's great that she doesn't try to hide it. It's very damaging to believe that a 37-year-old woman like Irina, or a 41-year-old like Adriana, have to look like 23-year-old girls. Absurd standards are put on them that later causes many women to have insecurities and complexes because not even the best and most stunning supermodels are spared from being fiercely criticized for their appearance.
This includes the supermodels themselves. We have just seen how Adriana has been affected by the comments that people have made about her physique. Or we've seen a stunning beauty like Megan Fox get a thousand cosmetic operations when she didn't need it at all, when she was frequently hailed as the most beautiful woman in the world or the sexiest. In fact, many times, it's the supermodels themselves and those great beauties who have the most insecurities because people have unrealistic expectations with them. We have seen countless cases of very beautiful models or actresses confessing that they have insecurities. Adriana herself has said in past interviews that she also has her insecurities. They will have more self-confident stages and others less because perhaps that month they have not gone to the gym 26 out of 30 days and they feel guilty, because they have gained a pound of weight or simply because they have read two haters saying that they look old, fat or too skinny.
Throughout Adriana's career, you can clearly notice how makeup gains weight in her looks in public over time as she ages (and this doesn't mean that in 2008 or 2013 she didn't have looks with a lot of makeup, just that it was less common than now), as if she felt that she has to hide any imperfection typical of her age because she is Adriana Lima and she isn't allowed to have even a wrinkle at 41 years old and being the mother of 3 children.
I'm not comparing Adriana with Irina, I'm just saying that I would like her to choose to follow Irina's style in terms of makeup, I think she would look better and more natural, instead of wearing heavy makeup, usually Patrick's work. He is a make-up artist that I don't like at all, at least not for Adriana.
-
She has already lost a lot of weight. I think that if she continues to look swollen, it's due to fluid retention rather than because she is too overweight. I don't think she has botox, but she definitely does have fillers, which is something she's been using for a while now. She doesn't need it and that's what I don't like about Adriana. She is a generational natural beauty, when I see her most beautiful is when she posts content at home, without makeup, without treatments, just relaxed and natural, she needs practically nothing or at least, nothing that changes her too much. I feel like she doesn't understand this well or she has some complexes/insecurities, because her ideal style and look should be similar to Irina Shayk, another amazing natural beauty, she even looks a bit like Adriana, who always looks very natural, with some product but in a light way. The no makeup-makeup is a perfect trend for Adriana.

in Adriana Lima
It is good and necessary to see her talk about it instead of her publicist dealing with the controversy.
Although, however, let's hope that some of her statements (about equal pay and about women being as good or better than men at football) don't reach mainstream social media attention because then much more backlash will come towards her. It's a very controversial issue because it's political, practically. But especially coming from a model, which is one of the few fields in which the pay gap is the other way around and women are the ones who are much better paid than men.
It's another of the reasons why I don't like to see Adriana in that job. Football raises many passions, for better and for worse. And nobody likes FIFA, so it's easy for many fans to turn violently against anyone who works for FIFA if that person says something they don't like.

There were always rumors that Miranda was a diva and that she wasn't the easiest model to work with, in addition to other rumors about her private life (cheating, gold-digging) that the company didn't like and that were later proven to be true.
