We entered the room, where the jury met, hoping that we would see Joanna Krupa live. It turned out that it was such a pre casting - the first screening. The jury included Rinke Rooyens, producer and screenwriter of television programs, and Lucyna Szamańska, head of D Vision, the largest modeling agency in Warsaw. How many people were there! I said to myself: crap, I'm leaving. The candidates were carrying out short, random conversations. You asked me about my age. I lied that I was twenty-seven years old and then confessed to my twenty-nine. I felt so stupid. Still, she persuaded me that I should try. KH-W: It was worth it! GL: I call Piotr, I say that I went through the first casting, that tomorrow the second. He said: where are you there, to the pensioners' club ... that's cool. You can't pass now. KH-W: And yet the boy was wrong. GL: I didn't hear a single bad word from the jury: a shapely, pretty, nice figure. They made me feel good. And they thought I was much younger than I was in reality. I was about to thank you, turn around and go, as Karolina Korwin-Piotrowska says: fuck the age! You should go further . Krupa supported her, Dawid Woliński joined her. Only Marcin Tyszka had a "but". KH-W: Start is so nice. And in the next stages? GL: They made us a "school of survival". They took phones so that we couldn't take photos. If I was sure that after ten years of working in modeling I would be able to buy myself a nice flat, a car and invest in something. Then, in fact, sometimes I could grit my teeth and know my own. Unfortunately, there is no money from it, and they treat it really scary. You need to have some oil in your head to get out of stupid situations or suggestions unscathed. KH-W: Tell us about the unlucky session in Top Model. GL: All the time with Ania - Armenian - we had to sit on hay cubes. Somewhere under the feet a bowl, something sticks in the ass. For this we were not visible at all. They complained that I had pink panties at the session. Did I have access to my suitcase? The photographer said I was the weakest of the group. That I'm not photogenic, I'm not fit. I acknowledged, but I thought that crap, I already had sessions, I also have some experience. Even the Playboy session went well and nobody complained about me. During the elimination they asked me why it didn't go well. What was I supposed to say? That they chose the worst picture? They know theirs anyway. I wasn't going to beg for a chance. Maybe I had a worse day, for which Piotrowska:Greta, but there are no worse days here . And Woliński added: you are standing next to Gabrysia, who is much shorter than you, much uglier, and she goes on . Did he deny himself? KH-W: That's why you didn't go further? GL: There are many theories ... I think that for this program they do not need people who are in their minds. They will not form much of us. What's funny, six girls dropped out of twenty-five with whom I most fellow. When the director interviewed them, he was pissed off that they couldn't answer the question straight away, but they just fell apart. Also, I think the final thirteen was chosen before. This is a show. They went through those that are either full everywhere or their biography contains some drama. There are no tears - no audience. I decided that I would not make an idiot of myself because of the program, but I would come back to Żory and what: would people point their fingers at me? I prefer to be remembered as the cool girl everyone kept their fingers crossed for. KH-W: Let's go back to Playboy. How did it happen that your body was there? GL: I was associated in the Number One agency in Rybnik. It was in 2007. I was sent to the casting, then silence. After two years, session producer Kasia Wiechecka called me and invited me to another casting in Warsaw. They took pictures of us in the panties themselves, on a white background, front - back - left, right side. But where are I with my little breasts? After two weeks, the producer called back that I would have a session in Masuria, and that I would go straight to the warehouse. Cool! I remember this session the best. Full professionalism, cool people, everyone looked at their piece of work, not at me as a "bare chick". KH-W: Which session do you remember the worst? GL: Shows in large premises, where they didn't even give us water, not to mention food. The girls were sending me to negotiate something. I don't think they wanted me after that because of my "big snout". KH-W: Do you regret that you didn't go to make a career in New York? GL: No, I've never had pressure on anything. I think life goes on as it should. Maybe this is how it should be - I have to do something different waiting for my five minutes. Every cloud has a silver lining. I met a lot of great people. With girls from Top Model we often call each other, make an appointment, meet. I quietly hope that after the program I will maybe get some interesting proposal. Actually, I'd rather go on the other side: advise in clothing, makeup, work on this type of productions. Or maybe I will open the agency myself ... For "mature" models KH-W: You know what you want. The beginnings were very promising. At 16, you won a beauty contest. GL: My father and older sister persuaded me to participate in Miss Poland 1999. Marta won the entry to the semi-final, I became the First Vice Miss Teen in the region. I had to fight for my place in the semi-finals in Warsaw. KH-W: You met with an ambiguous proposal to win Miss? GL: My friend knew one sponsor. He chose a group of girls with whom he went to dinner. One of this group was Miss Teenager. When I refused to go to such a dinner, it turned out that I had no choice. Only then did I understand the sponsor's intentions. I wasn't in the subject, I didn't know what was going on. Fortunately, my sister and I seemed inaccessible. There was distance, so they were rather afraid to approach. KH-W: Maybe they were afraid for another reason ... Apparently you practice martial arts. And probably from here you have such a beautifully sculpted body. GL: Maybe it is due to good genes? Or maybe I'm so lucky. I've always been slim. Yes, I go to dad for karate, and for fitness twice a week. I want to start playing squash with my sister. I also go cycling, rollerblading a lot, and in winter I switch to skis and skates. KH-W: And diet? GL: I don't hold any. I am of the opinion that you can eat everything, only then you need to burn it somehow. Unfortunately, there is not always time to eat something valuable in the whirlwind of work. KH-W: What work does it absorb you so much: GL: Eyelash extensions And for four months I have a gastronomic booth, next to the kindergarten in the Sikorskiego estate. We sell hamburgers, hot dogs, waffles. KH-W: Do they get autographs signed with whipped cream? GL: He he, they come, but for normal - with a pen on a piece of paper. There were two girls recently, they were ashamed: they couldn't decide which one to ask. KH-W: How do you bet: who will win the Top Model? GL: In my opinion, the prettiest girl who stayed on the program is Olivia. It's the one with dark complexion, with big eyes. In the first episode, at the casting, she told about her problems with being overweight when she was a teenager. It is very modest, to the point. KH-W: Golden tips for beginner models: GL: That their parents would approach the subject carefully. Modeling is a really heavy piece of bread especially for young, naive, inexperienced people. Recently, videos with your participation promoting goods sold in this supermarket chain could be seen on various TV stations. During the photo session in Bielsko-Biała for the pajamas producer, I met a model who runs his agency in Warsaw. He suggested that I send him my portfolio. He liked the pictures and without casting he invited me to participate in promotional videos for Lidl. We shot them in Poznań. The spots could be seen all over Europe. (laughs) Certainly, acting in such ventures teaches some acting. We must show emotions on the face to convince the customer to buy the product. It really requires a game, but I like it a lot. I feel great both in front of the camera and the camera lens. I'm sure of myself on the set. I put a lot of work into it. I carefully prepare for each session. I also take care of my body. Recently, for example, we were taking photos for the calendar for the arms factory in Radom. It required a lot of physical effort. I had real rifles in my hand. The next day, the soreness took my toll on me. I know you like sport, for example you do karate. I have been going to my father's classes for years (the Jerzy Peoplejewski dojo is a well-known karate girl, an expert on Far Eastern cultures - ed.). I made a blue belt with a yellow beam. However, I practice not for trophies, but for the movement itself. Karate improves fitness, teaches self-denial. I also meet many cool people there. So you will easily resist any attacker ... (laughs) I don't go to karate to learn how to fly somebody. I exercise for pleasure. I also ride horses. At least three times a week I do so-called crunches and I practice my buttocks. The skin is elastic and the body firm. What clothes do you like to present best? Underwear, I feel very good in it. I advertise clothes for a given company twice a year, fall / winter and spring / summer collections. I definitely prefer the latter. Then you can see my photos in many magazines, e.g. "Avanti", "Cosmopolitan" or "Playboy". How much can a photomodel earn in our country? Companies pay an average of 1.5 thousand for one day session. PLN, sometimes even 2.5 thousand zł. I got 1.5 thousand for working for Lidl. zł. Three to seven hours are spent on the set. Usually, 20-40 items from a given collection are advertised. It usually takes an hour to prepare the model for photos, i.e. makeup. The worst, because often tedious, are commutes per session. Some companies reimburse road costs, others do not. If there are a lot of products to present, the photos take two days. Then the model receives a double rate. Top models, of course, earn much more. He buys and sells real estate, imports cars from abroad, runs a beer bar. He has a lot of interesting ideas, he is a very resourceful boy. The wedding will be soon, but we haven't set a date yet. We live in a new house in Rowień. And finally, where did you play on New Year's Eve? I spent it with my parents at the horse farm in Palowice. First, in a group of 50 people, we drove torch carts to the forest. There was a stop, pea soup and musical relaxation. Then we returned to the stud. We had fun by the fire, there was a lot of food and no alcohol! We greeted the New Year with fireworks sponsored by my fiance.
