  1. I will do it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A big thanks in advance. They are such great vids, too. I have the HD of the last televised one (thanks to slea), and it is so great to be able to stop start, etc. as I choose.
  2. Yeah, I saw it on the club dread box pic after I posted. But still, I always thought it was daniels . . . huh.
  3. Well, as far as dumbledore pleading, you have to take into account that Jim Dale doesnt get any pointers from anyone on how to read the lines, so that at best was just his interpretation. And I hate to be doubting hermione, but no one ever saw snape knock out flitwick, and the only sound heard coming from the room was him hitting the floor. Some have disputed that a wand might not make a noise, but I still think its important to note that no one saw him do it, and we never heard him do it either. I truly believe he just fainted, as Snape said. That, or he did it to make sure Flitwick didn't hurt himself or try to stop him, since he knew what he had to do (irregardless), and that entailed pretending to be on the side of evil. And you are repeating virtually word-for-word what I said (in another post) about Snape's response to Harry. He was totally acting like Harry didn't understand, and if he had killed DD out of malice, it is totally unlike Snape to not brag about it. So I agree, completely.
  4. Isn't her name Brittany Daniels? Oh, and she looked uber hot in Club Dread.

I think if anything, Locke is misguided. As we saw in the second episode focusing on him, he has been mislead by evil or for evil before. I think that is the case here. However, since his story was so tragic in that ep, I think he will triumph or be redeemed despite being mislead. Oh, and REUTERS is reporting that we find out what is in the hatch in the first ep of next season. For americans, that is Sept. 20 or 21. It was also announced recently.
  6. Does anyone have a bigger version of this pic, or one without the graphic overlay? She looks stunning.
  7. No, I know what you mean. To me, its seemed like she ditched all the cutesy magical world tidbits, and instead focused on the narrative. However, I still thuroughly enjoyed it, and I feel its a great book, totally worthy of the series.
  8. Did they ever mention what was guarding Azkaban now? Cause we know the dementors revolted, so who or what is guarding Lucious? On the subject of Lucious giving over his son, i think its quite possible, but I hesitate to make any real judgement, as I feel I know very little about him. Ever since I heard there "was more to Petunia", I've had the hunch she had magical abillites, too. Maybe she is could have had the abilities of a wizard, but she shunned that lifestyle, or refused proper training (unlike her sister) at hogwarts, and thus she resented the importance and significance her sister's life took afterward. Again, a wild guess - but who knows? And as far as the Avada curse, I think if Snape truly was persuaded by DD that his death/Snape's continued spying was of the utmost importance, he could have convinced himself that he "wanted" to do it (for the greater good). And that's my stance on that. And I clearly see the possibility that Jo wanted everyone to assume Snape's innocence, to make his evil deed at the end all the more shocking. But for some reason, (to me) the signs seem to point to a more complicated scenario, of which we are not fully aware at the moment. The overheard conversation, DD's faith and insistence in the face of Harry's revelations to him, and hagrid's overheard convo, specifically seem to point to a scenario that we don't fully comprehend (on purpose).
  9. Alilandryfan, you are right, we do think alike, as i immediately thought when i read your post! On the subject of snape insulting Lilly, it seems to me that like most young people, he probably wouldnt have known how to express his feelings. And moreso, the fact that Lilly was trying to stop James from tormenting Snape, could very well be a sign of her interest in James (she would have wanted him to be a good person, if she had feelings for him). Perhaps Snape was very skilled at Occulemency (SP?) even at that age, and read her mind, or had read her mind before that scene, and was heart-broken or upset that she had feelings for James, instead of him. Thus when he insulted her, it was out of spite for the feelings he'd seen in her, and the way that made him feel. Again, I think there is more to "Snape's Worst Memory" than a typical day of being bullied (i.e. everyone always talks about how snape was bullied relentlessly, so what made that day stand out?)
  10. Thanks for sharing you opinion, and welcome to the site. I have spent almost all of my posts on this forum trying to support the same "snape is good" argument, so if you want to know some more about my theories (which you covered pretty well in your own rant) then check out my other posts in this forum. And again, welcome to the site (its a good one, look around!)
  11. Who said he did? I have a feeling someone else was there ( perhaps a potions expert who left a trap waiting for volde?) Just a wild guess, but i have a strong feeling he wasnt alone, since DD couldnt do it alone.
  12. She did, basically. During her interview with leaky cauldron and mugglenet.
  13. enjoy (tho the 2nd one isnt great quality) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Awesome. I love them both (especially the higher quality version of the first pic, I have been hoping that would come along some day) Thanks!
  14. I don't know if this was mentioned in this forum, but on another site there are several who have pointed out that in OOTP, during a scene at the Black's house, The trio come across a "large locket that none of them could open". Seems like some confirmation about the RAB theory.
  15. I enjoyed the book thoroughly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No disagreement there. Where do you guys rank it among the other novels? Its so hard tom compare the first couple to the last several, i think. That said, I think the major feeling I have about this book is that is was better than OOTP. So, I guess my ranking would go: 1) POA 2) GOF 3) HBP 4) OOTP 5) SS 6) COS Of course these are all varying levels of excellence in my mind, so there is no real "loser", i think.
  16. Looks like high tide in this pic. Some bouys popping up. Nice posts, thanks for all the pics.
  17. I know its not a crime scene, and that there is no definite answer. I've stated about fifty times on this board that these are my theories. If you need to know the definition of that word, look it up in a dictionary. And evidently I'm not the only one who's debating it, in case you missed the EW article. And as far as "arguing", I've only argued about rudeness among posters, not the issue at hand. Everything else was me debating my viewpoint, and letting people know what I was thinking, and how I was interpretting "clues" in the book . . . as everyone else on this board is doing. Now, do you have anything besides that spiteful comment to contribute to this forum?
  18. Thanks for posting that. Makes for a very good debate, obviously. EDIT: meaning theres alot for both sides to use . . . but I am sure JK intended it that way. And thanks for getting my back, Capt Snow.
  19. Would underage magic be tracked in Hogwarts? We already know it isnt tracked in wizards homes, why would it be tracked in a huge castle of underage wizards? I think it is a pretty crazy inititiation if he has to prove himself by killing DD.
  20. I know you and I are feuding . . . . . . but great pics. Thanks so much.
  21. Yeah, but if anything, there is evidence he was. Unless you didn't believe Harry, either. Cause I did. Either way, there is no evidence against it, so you can't deny it as a possibility. Oh, and irregardless, Bellatrix says that Malfoy is "in the dark lord's service", which I think pretty much means the same thing. Put that with the evidence of him showing off his wrist, i think thats a little more concrete. I doubt he got a cool temporary tatoo, and felt like showing it to the tailor and the B&B employee ( to scare them), or his friends (to make them think he's cool).
