www.adrianalima.com is registered to Salans, a firm of lawyers specialising in Eastern European law and I'm not sure if this domain is actually owned by Adriana. Maybe Salans is "site sitting" or have obtained it on Adriana's behalf. Some domains are owned by Adriana (for example www.adrianalima.org). Has anyone got any more info? It would be nice if Adriana had her own website where we could get news of her work, shows etc.

It's the (relative) freedom from grammatical structure that makes English easy to pick up but difficult to master. The other problem is that there are so many varieties of English. And then there's English spelling.

Oh dear - run out of coffee this morning, have we?! Ok, some points you ought to be clear about: 1) Lacking in education in emphatically not the same thing as being unintelligent (and we've all come across people who are "well educated" but fundamentally stupid). 2) A girl needs more than good looks to succeed in the modern modelling world (the proof of this is all the pretty failures there are). 3) As I understand it, Adriana was discovered by the model scouts - she didn't seek them out. At age 15 she was offered the chance to pursue a career in New York; a chance, which, as she was a sensible girl, she took. 4) The nature of our world is such that in order to get some things (a very successful modelling career, say), we have to give up something else which may be valuable to us, but which we just can't have at the same time (a college education, say). Adriana made her choice, but there's no evidence that she couldn't have chosen the other path, if she'd wanted to.

You're right - it's very, very dificult to really master English as a second language. I take it as a sign of Adriana's intelligence that, despite the difficulties of the English language, she still manages to get her points across very well in the interviews I've seen her in.

My guess is that when Adriana is speaking English in public and the subject is complicated or she's a bit nervous, she thinks in a mixture of Brazilian (Portuguese) and English and then has to quickly translate the Brazilian bits into English (I do the same speaking French when I'm in France). I know from my own experience that it's more difficult to control your accent when you're focused on trying to get your meaning across.

Impossible? I don't think so. Although this obviously doesn't apply to Adriana, there have been cases where a very restricted diet as a teenager can prevent people reaching full physical maturity until their early 20s. Also, I don't think that surgery and Photoshop are the only reasons someone's breast size can vary. The other reasons are: the monthly fluctuations in the levels of estrogen and progesterone, the skills of photographers, and the cut of the clothes themselves...

If she has had a breast job then it's been done extremely subtly and tastefully. But I think that what we are really witnessing are fluctuations in size caused by growing up, bra technolgy (I love that phrase!), her monthly cycle, fluctuations in her overall weight, and the arts of photgraphers and digital editors (even things like studio lighting can affect the apparent size and shape of things very dramatically). But let's suppose for a moment that she has had a little plastic surgery, does anyone know when this alleged event is supposed to have happened? Finally, does it actually matter? If she's happy with herself, then I'm happy for her.
