It seems to me that when she says "Ay-dree-ah-nah" when she's speaking English she's being courteous to us Brits and Americans (who are notorious for being bad at foreign languages). Also, there's an old, old saying (attributed to Saint Ambrose, c.340-397), which everyone who wants to live abroad has to follow: "When in Rome, do as the Romans".

Good grief no! The Windsors are the last family on earth I'd want Adriana to be involved with: they're disfunctional and look what they did to Diana!

Nice! Thanks- General Discussion
Here's a web page on Brazilian Portuguese pronuciation: http://www.deltatranslator.com/delta/pronounce.htm This means that every 'a' in Adriana should be pronounced like the 'a' in father and the 'i' like the 'ee' in meet. In the videos, when she speaks English, I've heard her pronounce her name 'Ay-dree-ah-na', but I'm sure I've heard Alessandra (a fellow Brazilian) call her 'Ah-dree-ah-nah'.- Miscellaneous
The article does refer to Prince Wenzeslaus, Prince of Liechtenstein. That's all I could make out. The headline seems to imply that he wants to marry Adriana and that he- Candids
Lullaby, thanks for posting these - I hadn't seen them before. (Prince Wence may not be the most photogenic person in the world, but he's reasonably presentable.)- Motion

I like this interview because Adriana comes across as open, straight-forward, modest, and nicely unboastful, but he misses the fundamental fact that she wants to be appreciated for more than her physical appearance. (And the way he gushes over her makes me cringe.)- Candids
You may be right, but my general pint was that we choose boyfriends/girlfriends etc because of the deeper needs they satisfy (sometimes unconscious needs), and that money, status, and good looks are nevr the whole story. Incidentally, what makes you think that they're not together?- Candids

I like Adriana because of her spirit. (Also, I think we're straying into the realm of madness when someone can seriously propose that a slim, attractive woman like Adriana could be called "chubby"!!!)- Candids
It was a nice surprise to come home yesterday evening and to have all these wonderful photos of Adriana arriving on Bellazon. Adriana looks lovely. And I love to see that mysterious and deep- Candids

LostinLove, do you know when these pictures were taken?- Fan Talk
I don't think that the attacks on the Victoria's Secret corporation and its models by these so-called "concerned mothers" spring exclusively from a desire to protect children. What I see is a group of people with both low self esteem and high anxiety about sex. (The fact is that protecting children from sexual exploitation is one thing and keeping them in ignorance about sex, or pretending that it doesn't exist, is something very, very different.) The "concerned mothers" are fundamentally negative, guilty and ashamed about sex and they are inviting us share their attititudes. This is an invitation I politely decline. As my wife puts it: sex is one of God's most wonderful gifts to us (humanity). Besides which, we live in a free market economy and if people don't like a product they have every right not to buy it. But they have no right at all to try and prevent others from buying.- Fan Talk
Here in Britain there was a collective hoot of derisive laughter at (some) Americans reaction to the Janet Jackson breast incident. And the French simply couldn't believe their eyes and ears! (Makes you wonder how all those breast fed children survived their "traumatc" childhoods!)- Fan Talk
Perhaps it's just another aspect of the new puritanism (or some strange kind of anti-sex thing) - Candids
