AngelAshley94, what do you think of her nickname "Duckie"? I read that a judge in Australia's next top model gave her that nickname when she was a contestant. It's cute, but I would prefer if she went by "Nyadak" which I think is beautiful! But I guess "Duckie" is easier to remember which ain't a bad thing in this industry.
It's a cute nickname! I like how she got it, also I remember her saying if she would've went by her real name Nyadak it would've been even harder for her to get jobs because of her "African sounding" name and when she showed up to castings for a show, they'd be expecting the prototype black model look: very dark skin, short shaved, bald head, full lips, broad features etc etc and Duckie wanted to be different (hence the "Barbie" look like the long hair, feminine non-androgynous features, eccentric fashion), keep in mind if you're a black model you're always put into two categories: the "straight from an African village" look or the "white girl dipped in chocolate" look and I guess she managed to find a median somewhere in between or completely wanted to avoid being placed in those ridiculous categories and find a name for herself. Although I really do love her first name and hopefully she uses it in the future of her career when it really picks up

I agree. I remember stumbling on a picture of her and I HAD to find out who she was, she is a black human barbie doll. Her face, her proportions, everything. I always admire doll-like features in models, e.g I also love Frida Aasen who looks like a vintage doll.
My only issue is sometimes she looks a bit tired in candids - nothing a little makeup can't fix though.
I agree 100% I've been obsessed with her recently when I saw pictures of her during the BET Awards and I was taking away with how gorgeous she was and suddenly...she blew up!
I agree she can look a bit tired in photos but I think it's just her natural eyes, a very common African physical trait. It can be fixed with makeup and editing because it's nothing major and also, she could be more expressive and I wish she could be in more campaigns or photoshoots that require her to be more playful and show off that famous million dollar smile

i want her in vsfs 2018, she's very beautiful, an angel
She would be perfection for VS! Especially PINK since she's vibrant, young, fun, has such a lovely voice and outgoing personality! I would love her to become a PINK Spokesmodel and then transition into mainline and become an Angel soon
it's about time we have a black, dark-skinned Angel and I don't count Jasmine since she's gotten really light-skinned lately and she's of mixed-race heritage.

^^ I just watched Tough Love again - what a fierce opening segment and strong lineup as well!! At least if theyre going to recycle a segment, it's one of the better ones. In terms of outfits getting reused i can see Ale’s and Julia’s corset, Candice’s cape, Anja’s boots and kimono and Lily’s jacket having a repeat performance.
All of those for sure! But I agree, at least they're recycling from a really good segment, I just hope it's not like the 2015 show where the majority of looks that were recycled were easily distinguishable from the rest of the looks because of how lazy they were put together.

I hated that runway. It looked awkward and that was with just one or two models on the runway I can't imagine how it would look with 4/5 girls walking at the same time. A total mess.
I don't think it looked awkward, I just think it need to be a little longer in length so it could actually be shaped like a "V". Also no way they would let 4/5 girls walk at the same time in the V shaped runway even with a huge lineup like this year
most likely they'll just have to make the show a little longer (which wouldn't be possible but who knows?), make the background songs or performers perform a longer song or just cut the lineup in the future back to 32-40 which seems more realistic tbh.

I want them to use the V-shaped runway again. It's unique but not too gimmicky.
I hope they use it at least once in the next few years since it's the only good thing that came out of VSFS09
I though I was the only one that loved the V-shaped runway
it was different and actually worked IMO. I liked how we saw all angles of the models and it would be easier for the performers to stay in place and models do their thing. Also it was one model at a time, which I absolutely loved! I hope they bring it back in the future maybe for VSFS 2018!

Julia is in pink segment.
totally agree with you, VS had a lot of girls at the casting and still continue giving preference to blonde.
Why VS didn’t call Hannah F?
This i’ll never understand
I'll never understand why Hannah Ferguson, Cindy Mello, Zhenya Katava or Senait Gidey weren't casted! They have the bodies, the looks, everything! but we keep getting bland as milk boring models with terrible bodies and zero femininity. It's a shame but this year's lineup is still the best we've had in years so no complaints.

ooh ewww is taylor really confirmed?
Haha she hasn't been confirmed yet but it's a pretty definite she and Harry Styles (along with an Asian group or solo artist) will most likely perform.
Nyadak 'Duckie' Thot
in Female Fashion Models
she's really unreal.
