KURT GEIGER - SPRING/SUMMER 2017 Kurt Geiger's Spring/Summer 2017 collection is inspired to look to the new year as a fresh start and see the world through rose coloured glasses and the lens of 'love, magic and enchantment'. The campaign shot by Erik Torstensson, stars British model Edie Campbell as the heroine of Kurt Geiger's fashion fairy-tale. The high-street label’s creative director, Rebecca Farrar-Hockley, said she wanted to create a fairy-tale world with her latest collection. Campbell added that she enjoyed the escapist nature of the campaign; “I had a lot of fun dressing up for this shoot and loved the statement pieces chosen by Rebecca. The collection is all about an element of surprise and an escape from the everyday, which seems to perfectly em body the new mood for spring.”

The model shared an X-ray of her hand, which on closer inspection showed her thumb with a large crack across it. While several of Campbell's friends and followers speculated in the post's comments that the injury may have been down to a riding accident, knowing that the model is a keen equestrian, the model revealed that it was in fact the result of a New Year party incident, responding: "Took a wee tumble on the revolving dancefloor," in response to one concerned friend. The model may not only miss out on her beloved riding thanks to the unfortunate mishap, but will also surely be sidelined from work for a few weeks. Campbell had a busy 2016, booking major campaigns for retailers including H&M and Versace and appearing on the cover of six international editions of Vogue, including in Italy, France, Japan, Germany (twice), and here in the UK.
