Claudia is the most beautiful and a bit better an actress than either Gina or Sophia. Sophia is the best known and had the longest Hollywood stay as Gina cut her career short and Claudia preferred Europe to Hollywood. Sophia is best known for La Ciociara (Two Women) where she did maybe the best job (of the three) but CC had several excellent roles but in mainly European cinema that wasn't promoted too much in the US. Gina was the sexiest like as Sheba (Solomon and Sheba) or Esmeralda (Hunchback of Notre Dame) and she was stunning in Fanfan la tulipe, even more than Sophia. Sophia is very beautiful (most beautiful in El Cid, Houseboat and The Millionaireness, I think) and is promoted by the press but she is a bit icy and overacts. She did well with English-speaking audiences since she was willing to take on Hollywood for a long career and she spoke the best English. CC is more the girl next door and incredibly gorgeous in Cartouche, Girl With a Suitcase, Vaghe stella dell'orsa (Sandra), Once Upon a Time in the West, Otto e mezzo (8 1/2) and The Leopard. She was stunning in Austerlitz, A Fine Pair, Mafia and The Hell With Heroes but those movies were average films. When you saw her in those movies, many people end up picking Claudia (like Leonardo Dicaprio who had a crush on her). In cinematic historical terms, Claudia's (the most serious actress of the three) movies will be most remembered. She made films with Visconti, Fellini, Leone, Herzog, Monicelli, etc. Sophia and Gina don't really have great movies to be remembered by but more their appeal and publicity (which Claudia shunned). hehe...I've seen like over 100 of their movies combined (2/3 CC)...Claudia is my favorite actress.
