bio, from her own site:

Rebeka Hutmaker was born Rébéka Stephanie Marie Renée Bardou in Québec City, Canada. With strong ambitions of becoming a professional dancer, she moved to Montréal at the age of 12 where she enrolled at L’École des Grands Ballets Canadiens.  She continued her classical dance training and was offered roles with two major professional companies as a high school student. During those years, because of Rébéka’s deep passion for interpreting different characters, she inspired producers to cast her in theater and television productions.

During a trip to London, to quench a desire to explore the world and to discover new ways of living , a chance encounter with Elite Premier Model management, led Rebeka to start working all over Europe, Japan and the United States, as a high-fashion editorial-beauty/commercial model. It then led her to get agencies in about 20 different cities, 4 continents, landing many different advertising campaigns and walking for the most reputable designers as well as working with the best teams to create fashion stories.

Walking the catwalk (with the hottest girls in town!) for prèt-à-porter and haute-couture collections for leading designers such as Armani, Bulgari, Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel, Yves St-Laurent, among many others. She was featured in the pages of top fashion magazines including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie-Claire, Cosmopolitain, as well as high fashion magazines like The Face, I.D, Jealouse, Dazed and Confused to name a few and has landed advertising for Max & Co, Hermes, Isabel Marant, Vivienne Westwood, Fred Perry, etc.

She continued to follow her acting interests and taking classes with coach Jack Waltzer in London. In Paris, Rébéka was given a role in a feature film that starred actress Faye Dunaway.  She then decided to take her acting seriously, she met mentor/director Jacqueline McClintock in Montreal and per her encouragement, Rebeka enrolled the two year program at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York City to perfect her craft. She has then grew roots in New York City where she resides with her husband .

Her most challenging theater role to date is The Spanish Queen, directed by Harold Baldridge and she laugh so much working on Comedy Central when the Onion had a TV show. Rébéka is still looking to get advertising prints and TV work, as well as developing Interesting acting roles on stage and film. The dream is to keep expanding her range as an artist and to deepen her commitment to make the audience live fully (and to feel more).

She is a high energy actress, who specializes in dramatic comedy. Rébéka is known for having versatile looks and being able to interpret people from all walks of life. Ron Stetson (Stage director and known for his mentorship in the successful training of Viola Davis) said to Rébéka as he saw her rehearse on stage: "I never know if you will be walking on stage with glitter shoes or boots full of dirt."
