She trained acrobatic fitness and never dreamed of becoming a model. Meanwhile, a vacation in Miami ended with the signing of a three-year contract with mega models agency. Thanks to this work Karolina Wozniak not only gained more confidence, but also became interested in art, which turned out to be a passion for her. Today, in addition to posing for photos and participating in fashion shows, he also runs his own gallery in Warsaw.

You invited me to the Kawai Gallery in the Krakow suburb of Warsaw...

That's my place, I work here. I founded this gallery three years ago. I present here the art of Polish and foreign artists, at affordable prices. I organize vernissages, all sorts of events.

Does this work give you satisfaction?

Huge. I love art and really running a gallery meets my ambitions. If you had finished English four years ago, she would have asked me what I was going to do – I wouldn't have been able to answer you. I had no idea at all at the time.

How did you became a model? Have you dreamed of this as a girl?

Never. I used to train acrobatic fitness, and before one of the competitions, a woman came to me and worked for one of the companies selling sportswear. She offered me to participate in the session. In the test photos at the modeling agency in Bydgoszcz, it turned out that I feel at ease in front of the lens and somehow i shot myself like that. I was still going to high school at the time, so I took part in casual sessions. My career gained momentum when I went on a trip to Miami. An agent from the Mega Models agency on Lincoln Road saw me there and offered a trial session for them. It ended with a three-year contract. It was a great experience. Thanks to this work, I visited almost the whole world. There was such a time that I used to be at home only a few days a month, the others I spent on suitcases. So it's certainly not an activity that you're going to want to do all your life. There comes a time when one dreams of stability.

Remember your first emotions about working in modeling?

At first I was accompanied by such anxiety. Because it speaks differently about this environment and people working in this industry. But I think that as with the head is selected orders and considers different signals, nothing bad will meet you. This anxiety, some uncertainty about whether this is the right direction, quickly passed. I also encountered such stereotypical opinions that "if a model, it's not very smart." I was afraid that I would be put in a post just as a pretty girl who had nothing to say.

How did you react when you heard this opinion about you?

I wanted to show too much that I had something to say, that I'm not a stupid model there. Some people might have perceived it as arrogance, and that was my defense against being filed. Fortunately, I've completely passed it – I've gained so much confidence that the opinions of people who don't know me don't matter to me.

What is the most pleasant thing about modeling work?

Travel. I love exploring the world and whenever I'm in an interesting place for a session and I have some free time, I try to see as much as possible. It's also cool that you come to the no make up photo shoot, looking like the average girl, and there they make you a deity and make you feel very feminine.

Does this help build self-esteem?

Yes, you can feel beautiful. All the more so when you see the effect in the form of photos.

But you're pretty even without makeup! (laughter)

(laughter) You know how it is, there are different days!

Which one do you get up about?

Differently, it depends if I have any order. Sometimes I have to get up at five or four in the morning because I have a plane. But if I can sleep, I get up at nine o'clock, ten o'clock. Especially on weekends I do not like to hurry in the morning – I drink coffee, browse e-e-go, go to training. Or I make myself a lab, because it is also sometimes needed.

I know you practice yoga. Every day?

If I have time, it's every day. I also recently signed up for a dance, high heels, which is such a cool cardio workout. It gives me an injection of endorphins.

And what does yoga give you?

First of all, it calms me down mentally. Since I practiced it, my body has become very sad. Often people who practice yoga are very interesting – so this translates into cool acquaintances. And if it still connects with a trip to Bali or Thailand... really that's great! Anyway, I caught the yoga baccila in Thailand – there are really super qualified people. This is combined with meditation, sometimes with some kind of massage, which is one ritual that coolly tunes you for the whole day.

Do you attach great importance to food? What and how much do you eat?

My problem is that I really like to eat and... (laughter) I have no limit. I have to impose some rigor on myself, because if I don't, I can eat five chocolate bars at once. So I try to keep an eye out, especially when I have a time like now when I'm preparing for Fashion Week in Paris. But there are weeks when I eat everything, and it's for pain. (laughter) My weakness is sweets. I like pasta, most with a thick, fatty sauce. I like bread, buns... everything that is milky and what is worst for our figure.

How much time do you spend on beauty care? It is known that make-up for sessions and for fashion shows are heavy, and the skin after them requires special treatment.

That's why I don't paint properly every day. I walk in tight, unassemly hair, I do not attach much importance to it. But it also came with time, because when I was 20, I never showed up without the full make-up that really gave me years. Now I assume that the less, the better, so my skin and hair benefit from it.

Which cosmetics do you use most often? Do you have yours checked?

In fact, no, I'm experimenting a little bit. I attach great importance primarily to cleansing the skin. I regularly go for acid treatments, pilings and skin moisturizing treatments. I also systematically do mesotherapy.

Some time ago you admitted publicly that you had removed breast implants. And I will admit that I admire you for your courage to tell you about it on TV. How was it received?

A lot of women who have had breast enlargement surgery have written to me that they think about it too. They admitted that they are not happy because they don't feel 100 percent themselves. However, they are afraid of what they will look like after removing the implants. Meanwhile, there is no cause for concern.

Can you see a change in the appearance of your breasts?

I don't really remember what they looked like before, but now they look great. First of all, however, I feel better, because when I had implants, I always had the impression that people see the bust first, and only then me. I felt very artificial. I also always expected this bust to work out, but it didn't happen. I also never 100% accepted it.

Was the decision to enlarge the bust solely because of your need?

I was persuaded to do this by one of the photographers, he claimed that it would help me in the work of a model. It was also influenced by the environment, colleagues who did it too. And some such pursuit of the ideal. It was a total mistake. Now, from a perspective, I believe that the more natural it looks and within the limits of the aesthetic norm, the better.

Have you long wondered to publicly admit to removing implants?

Not. I was so glad that I had no resistance at all. Although many people discouraged me from doing so, saying it was too bold that not everyone needs to know about it. After posting on social media, I received hundreds of messages from girls who thanked me for this post. They declared that they would also dare to do so, or that they would not choose to enlarge their breasts.

At the beginning of our conversation, you said that you are aware that as a model you will not work for the rest of your life. What would you like to focus on next outside of running an art gallery?

In addition, I would like to travel. I've never treated modeling as the main profession, because once you have a lot of jobs, and in a moment none. Now I m.in. swimwear, and in a while I can advertise... I do not know? vitamin 40+. (laughter) It's hard to predict how long I'll be in this profession, but I'm sure I'll always be involved in art, modeling and advertising in some way.
